用数值方法研究了拓扑绝缘体薄膜体系在外加垂直磁场 作用下其边缘态的性质. 磁场的加入通过耦合k+eA, 即Peierls势替换关系和 该作用导致的Zeeman交换场体现在哈密顿量中. 考虑窄条圆环状结构的二维InAs/GaSb/AlSb薄膜量子阱材料, 当其处于拓扑非平庸状态, 即量子自旋霍尔态时, 会出现受时间反演对称性保护的两支简并边缘态, 而在垂直磁场的作用下, 时间反演对称性被破坏, 这时能带将形成一条条的朗道能级, 原来简并的两支边缘态也会分开到朗道能级谱线的两侧, 从电子态密度的空间分布情况则可以看到边缘态分别局域在材料的两个边界. 随着磁场的增大, 位于同一边界上的不同 自旋极化的边缘态将出现分离: 一支仍然局域在边缘, 另一支则随外加磁场的增加而有逐渐演化到材料内部的趋势. 文中还计算了同一边界上的两支边缘态之间的散射, 结果表明由于两个边缘态在空间发生分离, 相互之间的散射被很大的压制, 得到了其散射随磁场增加没有明显变化的结论, 所以磁场并不会增强散射过程, 也没有破坏体拓扑材料的性质, 说明了量子自旋霍尔态在没有时间反演对称的情况下也可以有较强的稳定性. 相似文献

Interactive music uses wearable sensors (i.e., gestural interfaces—GIs) and biometric datasets to reinvent traditional human–computer interaction and enhance music composition. In recent years, machine learning (ML) has been important for the artform. This is because ML helps process complex biometric datasets from GIs when predicting musical actions (termed performance gestures). ML allows musicians to create novel interactions with digital media. Wekinator is a popular ML software amongst artists, allowing users to train models through demonstration. It is built on the Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA) framework, which is used to build supervised predictive models. Previous research has used biometric data from GIs to train specific ML models. However, previous research does not inform optimum ML model choice, within music, or compare model performance. Wekinator offers several ML models. Thus, we used Wekinator and the Myo armband GI and study three performance gestures for piano practice to solve this problem. Using these, we trained all models in Wekinator and investigated their accuracy, how gesture representation affects model accuracy and if optimisation can arise. Results show that neural networks are the strongest continuous classifiers, mapping behaviour differs amongst continuous models, optimisation can occur and gesture representation disparately affects model mapping behaviour; impacting music practice. 相似文献

Operational instability from processes occurring at the anode during the production of aluminum in the commercial Hall‐Héroult process may lead to an increase in undesirable fluorocarbon emissions, higher energy use, and shorter plant life. One contribution to this instability may be the possible formation of a fluorocarbon film at the electrode interface. Here, the surface composition of graphite anodes after electrolysis in molten NaF–AlF3–CaF2 at 990 °C is investigated for evidence of fluorocarbon formation using C K‐edge near edge X‐ray absorption fine structure. Fluorocarbon is identified on an anode surface after prolonged anode effect (very high overpotential with increased cell resistance) and also on an anode surface after normal electrolysis without anode effect. This provides evidence that fluorocarbon formation may occur prior to anode effect lowering the surface tension of the anode and therefore resulting in dewetting to contribute to the onset of the anode effect. Confirmation that such compounds form furthers our understanding of electrochemical reactions of graphite with fluoride and of the fundamental processes that occur in an aluminum smelter cell. The skyrmions in SU(N) quantum Hall (QH) system are discussed. By analyzing the gauge field structure and the topological properties of this QH system it is pointed out that in the SU(N) QH system there can exist (N-1) types of skyrmion structures, instead of only one type of skyrmions. In this paper, by means of the Abelian projections according to the (N - 1) Cartan subalgebra local bases, we obtain the (N - 1) U(1) electromagnetic field tensors in the SU(N) gauge field of the QH system, and then derive (N - 1) types of skyrmion structures from these U(1) sub-field tensors. Furthermore, in light of the C-mapping topological current method, the topological charges and the motion of these skyrmions are also discussed. 相似文献

Euler's partition theorem states that the number of partitions of an integer N into odd parts is equal to the number of partitions of N in which the ratio of successive parts is greater than 1. It was shown by Bousquet-Mélou and Eriksson in [M. Bousquet-Mélou, K. Eriksson, Lecture hall partitions II, Ramanujan J. 1 (2) (1997) 165–185] that a similar result holds when “odd parts” is replaced by “parts that are sums of successive terms of an ℓ-sequence” and the ratio “1” is replaced by a root of the characteristic polynomial of the ℓ-sequence. This generalization of Euler's theorem is intrinsically different from the many others that have appeared, as it involves a family of partitions constrained by the ratio of successive parts.In this paper, we provide a surprisingly simple bijection for this result, a question suggested by Richard Stanley. In fact, we give a parametrized family of bijections, that include, as special cases, Sylvester's bijection and a bijection for the lecture hall theorem. We introduce Sylvester diagrams as a way to visualize these bijections and deduce their properties.In proving the bijections, we uncover the intrinsic role played by the combinatorics of ℓ-sequences and use this structure to give a combinatorial characterization of the partitions defined by the ratio constraint. The argument examined in this paper is that music – when approached through making and responding to coherent musical structures,facilitated
by multiple, intuitively accessible representations – can become a learning context in which basic mathematical ideas can
be elicited and perceived as relevant and important. Students' inquiry into the bases for their perceptions of musical coherence
provides a path into the mathematics of ratio,proportion, fractions, and common multiples. Ina similar manner, we conjecture
that other topics in mathematics – patterns of change,transformations and invariants – might also expose, illuminate and account
for more general organizing structures in music. Drawing on experience with 11–12 year old students working in a software
music/math environment, we illustrate the role of multiple representations, multi-media, and the use of multiple sensory modalities
in eliciting and developing students' initially implicit knowledge of music and its inherent mathematics.

The dependencies of the effective Hall properties on a scale, obtained by means of an iterative averaging method, manifest their fractal character. The influence of an intensity of the Hall effect on the fractal character of the Hall properties was considered. We consider the problems of (1) longest common subsequence (LCS) of two given strings in the case where the first may be shifted by some constant (that is, transposed) to match the second, and (2) transposition-invariant text searching using indel distance. These problems have applications in music comparison and retrieval. We introduce two novel techniques to solve these problems efficiently. The first is based on the branch and bound method, the second on bit-parallelism. Our branch and bound algorithm computes the longest common transposition-invariant subsequence (LCTS) in time O((m2+loglogσ)logσ) in the best case and O((m2+logσ)σ) in the worst case, where m and σ, respectively, are the length of the strings and the size of the alphabet. On the other hand, we show that the same problem can be solved by using bit-parallelism and thus obtain a speedup of O(w/logm) over the classical algorithms, where the computer word has w bits. The advantage of this latter algorithm over the present bit-parallel ones is that it allows the use of more complex distances, including general integer weights. Since our branch and bound method is very flexible, it can be further improved by combining it with other efficient algorithms such as our novel bit-parallel algorithm. We experiment on several combination possibilities and discuss which are the best settings for each of those combinations. Our algorithms are easily extended to other musically relevant cases, such as δ-matching and polyphony (where there are several parallel texts to be considered). We also show how our bit-parallel algorithm is adapted to text searching and illustrate its effectiveness in complex cases where the only known competing method is the use of brute force. 相似文献
