Broadband nonlinear frequency conversions of optical waves are widely employed in multiple areas of optics and photonics. However, the broadening of conversion bandwidth is often at a cost of reduction in efficiency, which may induce a limitation on practical applications. Here we theoretically propose a novel design of LiNbO3 ridge waveguides on LiTaO3 substrates which can be used for efficient and broadband second harmonic generation. Through group velocity engineering of the ridge waveguides, acceptance bandwidth over 20 nm with a high conversion efficiency of > 25%W-1·cm-2 is achieved at telecom-band. 相似文献

Photoelectrochemical(PEC)technique represents a promising approach to chemical transformation by harvesting sustainable solar energy.Despite the wide applications of PEC systems such as environmental remediation and solar energy conversion,the reported PEC reactions are dominated by the radical-based processes that are initiated by the single electron transfer between photo-induced carriers and adsorbed species on photoelectrode surface[1,2].For instance,hydroxyl radicals are often involved in the PEC oxidation reactions.As well known,it is a grand challenge to control the formation and evolution rates of radicals,which inevitably leads to the unsatisfactory product selectivity of PEC reactions.Naturally,such a circumstance brings about a question to the research community whether a different mechanism can be established to sustain efficient and selective oxygenation.Recently,based on their previous findings on PEC water oxidation[3,4],Zhao and coworkers[5]reported that many substrates can be oxidized in an oxygen atom transfer(OAT)pathway,a non-radical two electron process,to oxygenated products byα-Fe2O3 photoanodes. 相似文献
The dependence structure of the life statuses plays an important role in the valuation of life insurance products involving multiple lives. Although the mortality of individuals is well studied in the literature, their dependence remains a challenging field. In this paper, the main objective is to introduce a new approach for analyzing the mortality dependence between two individuals in a couple. It is intended to describe in a dynamic framework the joint mortality of married couples in terms of marginal mortality rates. The proposed framework is general and aims to capture, by adjusting some parametric form, the desired effect such as the “broken-heart syndrome”. To this end, we use a well-suited multiplicative decomposition, which will serve as a building block for the framework to relate the dependence structure and the marginals, and we make the link with existing practice of affine mortality models. Finally, given that the framework is general, we propose some illustrative examples and show how the underlying model captures the main stylized facts of bivariate mortality dynamics.
An efficient asymmetric alkenylation between 3-vinylindoles and isatin derivatives was developed under catalysis of a chiral copper complex. We report theoretical studies of electron impact triple differential cross sections of two bio-molecules,pyrimidine and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol,in the coplanar asymmetric kinematic conditions with the impact energy of 250 eV and ejected electron energy of 20 eV at three scattering angles of-5°,-10°,and-15°.Present multi-center distorted-wave method well describes the experimental data,which was obtained by performing(e,2e)experiment.The calculations show that the secondary electron produced by the primary impact electron is strongly influenced by the molecular ionic multi-center potential,which must be considered when the low energy electron interacts with DNA analogues. 相似文献
