Controllable tailoring of metal-free/carbon-based nanostructures tends an encouraging way to enhance the bifunctional activity of electrodes, but a great challenge owing to the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, a facile tempted-defects assisted fractionation strategy is presented to synthesize N, S, and O tri-doped metal-free catalyst (DE-TDAP). Due to this effective tempted-defects and heteroatoms interlinking in DE-TDAP, it delivers the lowest overpotential toward both the OER (346 mV) and HER (154 mV) at 10 mA cm?2. Remarkably, the DE-TDAP-electrode carries only a cell voltage of 1.81 V at 10 mA cm?2 for overall water splitting and long-term stability. Considerably, the density functional theory (DFT) calculation exposes that the tailored-defects in tri-doped interlinking could enhance bifunctional catalytic performance devising from lower Gibbs free energy of OER/HER intermediates on active sites. This struggle henceforth provides a perceptive understanding of the synergetic principles of heteroatom-interlinking-tailoring nanostructures in water splitting. 相似文献

In the present report, Nickel oxide nanoparticles (NiONPs) were synthesized using Rhamnus virgata (Roxb.) (Family: Rhamnaceae) as a potential stabilizing, reducing and chelating agent. The formation, morphology, structure and other physicochemical properties of resulting NiONPs were characterized by Ultra violet spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared analysis (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy‐dispersive‐spectroscopy (EDS), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering (DLS). Detailed in vitro biological activities revealed significant therapeutic potential for NiONPs. The antimicrobial efficacy of biogenic NiONPs was demonstrated against five different gram positive and gram negative bacterial strains. Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC: 125 μg/mL) were found to be the least susceptible and Bacillus subtilis (MIC: 31.25 μg/mL) was found to be the most susceptible strain to NiONPs. Biogenic NiONPs were reported to be highly potent against HepG2 cells (IC50: 29.68 μg/ml). Moderate antileishmanial activity against Leishmania tropica (KMH23) promastigotes (IC50: 10.62 μg/ml) and amastigotes (IC50: 27.58 μg/ml) cultures are reported. The cytotoxic activity was studied using brine shrimps and their IC50 value was recorded as 43.73 μg/ml. For toxicological assessment, NiONPs were found compatible towards human RBCs (IC50: > 200 μg/ml) and macrophages (IC50: > 200 μg/ml), deeming particles safe for various applications in nanomedicines. Moderate antioxidant activities: total antioxidant capacity (TAC) (51.43%), 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) activity (70.36%) and total reducing power (TRP) (45%) are reported for NiONPs. In addition, protein kinase and alpha amylase inhibition assays were also performed. Methods capable of tuning the properties of van der Waals (vdW) layered materials in a controlled and reversible manner are highly desirable. Interfacial electronic properties of two-dimensional vdW heterostructure consisting of silicene and indium selenide (InSe) have been calculated using density functional theory-based computational code. Furthermore, in order to vary the aforementioned properties, silicene is slid over a InSe layer in the presence of Li intercalation. On intercalation of the heterostructure, the buckling parameter associated with the corrugation of silicene decreases from 0.44 Å to 0.36 Å, whereas the InSe structure remains unaffected. Potential energy scans reveal a significant increase in the sliding energy barrier for the case of intercalated heterostructure as compared with the unintercalated heterostructure. The sliding of the silicene encounters the maximum energy barrier of 0.14 eV. Anisotropic analysis shows the noteworthy differences between calculated in-plane and out-of-plane part of dielectric function. A variation of the planar average charge density difference, dipole charge transfer and dipole moment have been discussed to elucidate the usability spectrum of the heterostructure. Development and validation of UHPLC‐MS/MS assay for rapid determination of a carvone Schiff base of isoniazid (CSB‐INH) in rat plasma: application to pharmacokinetic study 下载免费PDF全文
In this study, a fast UHPLC‐MS/MS method was developed and validated for the determination of a novel potent carvone Schiff base of isoniazid (CSB‐INH) in rat plasma using carbamazepine as an internal standard (IS). After a single‐step protein precipitation by acetonitrile, CSB‐INH and IS were separated on an Acquity BEHTM C18 column (50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 µm) under an isocratic mobile phase, consisting of acetonitrile: 10 mM ammonium acetate (95:5, v/v), at a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. Quantification was performed on a triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer in multiple reactions monitoring mode by using positive electrospray ionization source. The precursor to product ion transitions were set at m/z 270.08 → 79.93 for CSB‐INH and m/z 237.00 → 178.97 for IS. The proposed method was validated in compliance with US Food and Drug Administration and European Medicines Agency guidelines for bioanalytical method validation. The method was found to be linear in the range of 0.35–2500 ng/mL (r2 ≥ 0.997) with a lower limit of quantification of 0.35 ng/mL. The intra‐ and inter‐day precision values were ≤12.0% whereas accuracy values ranged from 92.3 to 108.7%. In addition, other validation results were within the acceptance criteria and the method was successfully applied in a pharmacokinetic study of CSB‐INH in rats. Recently developed multi‐dimensional coupled fluid‐droplet model is used to investigate the behavior of complex interaction between the liquid precursor droplets and atmospheric pressure plasma (APP). The significance of this droplet‐plasma interaction is not well understood under diverse realm of working conditions in two‐phase flow. In this study, we explain the implication of vaporization of liquid droplets in APP which are subsequently responsible to control major characteristics of surface coating depositions. Coalescence of water droplets is more dominant than Hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) droplets because of its sluggish rate of evaporation. A disparity in the performance of evaporation is identified in two independent mediums, such as gas mixture and discharge plasma using HMDSO precursor. The length of evaporation of droplets is amplified by an increment of gas flow rate indicating with a reduction in the gas temperature and electron mean energy. In particular, the spatio‐temporal density distributions of charged particles show a clear pattern in which the typical nitrogen impurity ions are primarily effective as compared to other helium ionic species along the pulse of droplets in APP. Finally, we contrast the behavior of discharge species in the pure helium and He‐N2 gas mixtures revealing the importance of stepwise and Penning ionization processes.
