Pt-capsules loaded with a Pt-coil and two crystalline seeds immersed into an andesitic melt were rapidly cooled from 1300 to 1100 °C with a rate of 3 °C/min at atmospheric pressure and air oxygen fugacity. Results show that the Pt-coil does not induce any heterogeneous crystallization process as well as iron diffusion process from the melt into the platinum substrate. In contrast, the presence of crystalline seeds in a solidifying andesitic melt significantly alters the phase assemblage, composition and texture of the new-forming crystals in response to a heterogeneous nucleation mechanism and the formation of metastable phases. 相似文献

The present contribution is part of a biennial research project funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). This study, currently in progress, deals with innovative experimental approaches applied to the chemical, mineralogical and physical transformations occurring during the prolonged permanence of archaeological ceramic finds in seawater environments as well as to restoration and conservation issues of the same underwater artifacts. The experimental approach used in this research consisted in the manufacture of ceramic test-pieces (briquettes) and their successive placing in underwater environment. This work aims at assessing how textural and compositional parameters along with firing temperatures of a ceramic paste could affect total porosity, pore size distribution and kinetics of capillary water absorption. A further purpose is concerned with the study of the potential modification of porosity and pore size distribution in the same ceramic bodies after immersion in seawater (3 and 6 months). The study was carried out using a multi-technique approach including investigations through polarized light microscopy (PLM), capillary water absorption test, mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) analyses and theoretical calculation of salt crystallization pressures. The obtained results show a different behavior of the six experimental pastes as a function of their compositional and textural features as well as pore size distribution and firing temperatures. These parameters, in various extents, have been found significantly influencing the kinetics of water absorption and the susceptibility of ceramic artifacts to salt crystallization processes, with important implications on conservation procedures needed before the musealization. 相似文献

Irradiation of a number of different sutures largely employed in the clinical practice with either high energy electrons or with γ-rays followed by quenching with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) conveniently led to derivatization through a radical-based process. The radicals involved were detected by means of ESR spectroscopy and were characterized on the basis of their ESR spectral parameters which were also found to be consistent with the hfs constants predicted by DFT calculations. Propolis has various biological activities such as antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, immunostimulating and antiinflammatory, which are generally ascribed to the polyphenolic fraction. The aim of this study was to evaluate the absorption of the main polyphenols [caffeic acid (CA), pinobanksin-5methyl ether (P-5ME), pinobanksin (Pb), chrysin (C), pinocembrin (P), galangin (G), pinobanksin-3-acetate, pinobanksin esters and caffeic acid phenylethyl ester (CAPE)] from a dewaxed and standardized extract of propolis (EPID). Fifteen healthy volunteers consumed 5 mL EPID in water, corresponding to 125 mg of flavonoids. Blood samples were collected before, each hour for 8 h and 24 h after EPID intake. After deconjugation by beta-glucuronidase/sulfatase the plasma samples were analyzed by a selective liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) method using morin as internal standard (I.S.). A kinetic profile characterized by two t(max), respectively at 1 h and about 5 h post-ingestion, was observed in all the subjects. The two peaks may be due to enterohepatic cycling. Among the various polyphenols ingested, only P-5ME, Pb, C, P and G were detected in plasma and C(max)t(1h) were 65.7 +/- 13.3, 46.5 +/- 12.7, 79.5 +/- 18.6, 168.1 +/- 16.3 and 113.7 +/- 16.8 ng/mL, respectively. These levels decreased significantly after 8 h and were no longer detectable 24 h after EPID intake. The recovery of the extraction for CA, Pb, C, P, G and I.S. from spiked plasma was 95.2 +/- 3.1, 93.1 +/- 3.6, 91 +/- 2.5, 96.4 +/- 4.2, 93.4 +/- 2.4 and 85.5 +/- 2.4%, respectively. The results of this study evidence that flavonoids from EPID are absorbed, metabolized and Pb-5ME and G seem to have apparent absorption, measured as (AUC/dose), higher than C, P and Pb. 相似文献

Saccharides in foods play important roles, as they are essential substrates for fermentation processes. In brewing, the concentration of maltooligosaccharides influences the characteristics of beers and therefore their determination is of great practical interest. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) was applied to identify and characterise maltooligosaccharides in beer samples. The effects due to different cation concentrations and dilution of samples were studied. The infrared spectra of single human normal and leukemic lymphocytes have been obtained by means of the microscope-FT-IR system. Substantial differences between the two kinds of cells have been observed at level of the O-P-O vibrations of the DNA and of the proteic components. Derivatives of two new molecular structures, namely, [1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]purine and [1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-d]-[1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]pyrimidine, were synthesized together with other heterocyclic compounds. Retrosynthetic analysis of their molecular skeletons suggested a simple way of obtaining 3,4-dihydro-7,8-diamino-2H,6H-pyrimido[2,1-b][1,3]thiazin-6-one, which is a useful intermediate for their synthesis. This intermediate and the thiazole homologue were obtained directly by reaction of 5,6-diamino-2,3-dihydro-2-thioxo-4(lH)-pyrimidi-none with 1,3- or 1,2-dibromoalkane, respectively. 相似文献
