Free convection flow from an isothermal horizontal circular cylinder immersed in a fluid with viscosity proportional to an inverse linear function of temperature is studied. The governing boundary layer equations are transformed into a non-dimensional form and the resulting nonlinear system of partial differential equations is reduced to local non-similarity equations which are solved numerically by a very efficient implicit finite difference method together with Keller box scheme. Numerical results are presented by velocity and viscosity profiles of the fluid as well as heat transfer characteristics, namely the local heat transfer rate and the local skin-friction coefficients for a wide range of viscosity parameter (= 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0,4.0) and the Prandtl number Pr (= 1.0, 7.0, 10.0, 15.0, 20.0, 30.0).  相似文献

The Pd(0)‐catalyzed coupling reaction of 6‐iodotetraalkoxyisoflavone, which was obtained from the oxidative rearrangement of 3′‐iodotetraalkoxychalcones, with 2‐methyl‐3‐butyn‐2‐ol in heating condition affords 6‐alkynylisoflavone. Hydrogenation of 6‐iodotetraalkoxyisoflavone followed by acid‐catalyzed dehydration with p‐TsOH·H2O gave lupisoflavone.  相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of modified electron‐acoustic (mEA) shock waves in an unmagnetized, collisionless, relativistic, degenerate quantum plasma (containing non‐relativistic degenerate inertial cold electrons, both nonrelativistic and ultra‐relativistic degenerate hot electron and inertial positron fluids, and positively charged static ions) has been investigated theoretically. The well‐known Burgers type equation has been derived for both planar and nonplanar geometry by employing the reductive perturbation method. The shock wave solution has also been obtained and numerically analyzed. It has been observed that the mEA shock waves are significantly modified due to the effects of degenerate pressure and other plasma parameters arised in this investigation. The properties of planar Burgers shocks are quite different from those of nonplanar Burgers shocks. The basic features and the underlying physics of shock waves, which are relevant to some astrophysical compact objects (viz. non‐rotating white dwarfs, neutron stars, etc.), are briefly discussed. A new and efficient method for the preparation of various phenyl esters has been achieved by a simple reaction of an acid with phenol in the presence of anhyd. ZnCl2 and a catalytic amount of AlCl3. This combined Lewis acid also catalyzes the selective phenyl esterification to different dioic acids and is very simple and high yielding.  相似文献

The natural convective velocity field in an enclosed air-filled cubical cavity with two opposing isothermal faces and the remaining four sides having a well-defined linear temperature rise from the cold to the hot face has been measured at different physical orientations and Rayleigh (Ra) numbers. In particular, two components of the velocity at the mid-plane have been measured by using particle image velocimetry (PIV) at Ra = 106 and 6 × 106 at each of two different physical orientations: heating-from-the-side (HFS), and heating-from-below (HFB). The 95% confidence limit uncertainties in the measured velocity vectors are about 2% for laminar flow. The accuracy and integrity of the experiments were validated by the comparison to some well-established CFD results at the HFS orientation at Ra = 106. It was concluded that the experimental method is sound and so findings at other orientations and at other values of Ra should have an accuracy consistent with the findings of the uncertainty analysis. Therefore, the other results can be confidently used as benchmark data for testing CFD codes. The turbulence intensities at the mid-plane are also presented.  相似文献

A general theory for nonlinear propagation of one dimensional modified ion-acoustic waves in an unmagnetized electron-positron-ion (e-p-i) degenerate plasma is investigated. This plasma system is assumed to contain relativistic electron and positron fluids, non-degenerate viscous positive ions, and negatively charged static heavy ions. The modified Burgers and Gardner equations have been derived by employing the reductive perturbation method and analyzed in order to identify the basic features (polarity, width, speed, etc.) of shock and double layer (DL) structures. It is observed that the basic features of these shock and DL structures obtained from this analysis are significantly different from those obtained from the analysis of standard Gardner or Burgers equations. The implications of these results in space and interstellar compact objects (viz. non-rotating white dwarfs, neutron stars, etc.) are also briefly mentioned.  相似文献

A non-enzymatic impedimetric glucose sensor was fabricated based on the adsorption of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) onto conductive polyaniline (PANI)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The modified electrode (GCE/PANI/GNPs) was characterized by using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The determination of glucose concentration was based on the measurement of EIS with the mediation of electron transfer by ferricyanide ([Fe(CN)6]3?). The [Fe(CN)6]3? is reduced to ferrocyanide ([Fe(CN)6]4?), which in turn is oxidized at GCE/PANI/GNPs. An increase in the glucose concentration results in an increase in the diffusion current density of the [Fe(CN)6]4? oxidation, which corresponds to a decrease in the faradaic charge transfer resistance (R ct). A wide linear concentration range from 0.3 to 10 mM with a lower detection limit of 0.1 mM for glucose was obtained. The proposed sensor shows high sensitivity, good reproducibility, and stability. In addition, the sensor exhibits no interference from common interfering substances such as ascorbic acid, acetaminophen, and uric acid.  相似文献

The current study was undertaken to validate the performance for the determination of both TBA and beta-trenbolone (beta-TB) residues in porcine muscle at concentrations required to monitor compliance with the maximum residue limit (MRL). The method involves a one phase liquid-liquid extraction, cleanup with low-temperature fat precipitation, separation of the respective compounds by HPLC on a Capcell pak C(18) column, use of a methanol-water isocratic system as an eluent, and measurement by UV absorbance detection at 340 nm. Both compounds were confirmed using LC-MS/MS with electrospray interface (ESI) and a triple quadrupole (QqQ) analyzer. The method was found to be precise and accurate, with a linearity range of 1-10 microg/kg (r(2) >0.973). The intra- and interday precision showed good reproducibility with RSDs < or =13.25%. The LODs were 0.12 and 0.22 microg/kg, and the LOQs were 0.37 and 0.66 microg/kg, for TBA and beta-TB, respectively. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by analyzing real samples collected from major cities in the Republic of Korea. No residues of the selected compounds were detected in any of the samples. The advantages of our method are that it is: selective, sensitive, requires a short time for analysis (13 min), and performs simple sample extraction and clean-up procedure with low-temperature fat precipitation as compared to the previously published methods.  相似文献

In a continuation of our earlier work, a multiresidual analytical method using 48 frequently used neutral pesticides in a water matrix was developed and validated in this study. The samples were extracted with dichloromethane and the pesticides were analyzed via GC-NPD followed by confirmation with GC-MS. Good linearity was detected over a concentration range of 0.01-1.0 microg/mL with correlation coefficients (r(2) ) in excess of 0.982. The recoveries were measured between 70.7 and 111.4% for the majority of the targeted pesticides with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of less than 20%. The LODs and LOQs were in ranges of 0.1-2 and 0.33-6.6 microg/L, respectively. A total of 66 water samples were collected from different locations in Yeongsan and the Sumjin River, Republic of Korea, and were analyzed in accordance with the developed method. None of the water samples were determined to contain any of the targeted pesticides. The method has been shown to be simpler, faster, and more cost-effective than the method established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  相似文献
