液晶光学双稳态中离子电荷飘移引起的自脉冲振荡

在液晶混合光学双稳装置中,实验上观察到了由于直流电场引起的液晶中离子电荷飘移与液晶分子再取向之间竞争相互作用导致的自脉冲振荡现象。给出了该系统的弛豫方程。通过数值分析,得到了与实验定性一致的结果。 关键词：     

TRANSIENT OPTICAL VORTICES IN THE PROCESS OF PATTERN FORMATION IN A KERR SLICE SYSTEM WITH SINGLE FEEDBACK

The transient process of the optical pattern formation in a Kerr medium is numerically studied. We find that the process is accompanied by transient optical vortices in the far field. The temporal evolutions of the appearance and disappearance of the vortices are presented. All vortices will vanish when the system approaches its steady state. The number of vortices versus time is given.     

Control Method of Cooling a Charged Particle Pair in a Paul Trap

We propose a simple feedback cooling method, including both the component feedback and the velocity feedback,for cooling a charged particle pair in a Paul trap. It is found that the system can be cooled to periodic orbits;and if control intensity is strong, the system can be cooled to a one-periodic orbit, which is only in a horizontalplane. The result shows that the cooled system is also robust for noise.

The dynamical feature of transition of a Hamiltonian system to a dissipative system

The mechanism of generation and annihilation of attractors during transition from a Hamiltonian system to a dissipative system is studied numerically using the dissipative standard map. The transient process related to the formation of attracting basins of periodic attractors is studied by discussing the evolution of the KAM tori of the standard map. The result shows that as damping increases, attractors are mainly generated from elliptic orbits of the Hamiltonian system and annihilated by colliding with unstable periodic orbits originating from the corresponding hyperbolic orbits of the Hamiltonian system. The transient process also exhibits the general feature of bifurcation.

本文介绍Fe:LiNbO_3晶体在波长为6328A的低功率激光下的简并四波混频(DFWM)现象。给出了在不同泵浦功率下,共轭波强度随照射时间变化的实验曲线。验证了共轭波的位相补偿特性,并利用该特性校正了位相畸变的图象,得到了与理论相一致的实验结果。     

OPTICAL BISTABILITY IN A RING CAVITY WITH A PHOTOREFRACTIVE TWO-WAVE MIXER

We observed the phenomenon of optical bistability in a ring cavity with a photorefractive two-wave mixer. The experimental results are in agreement with those of theory.     

A THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF FREQUENCY REDSHIFT IN OPTICAL-FIELD-INDUCED FREEDERICKSZ TRANSITION IN A NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTAL FILM

The frequency redshift in the optical-field-induced Freedericksz transition in a nematic liquid crystal film is investigated, We derive a theoretical expression for the frequency shift, and then measure the temporal evolution of the frequency shift and the light-intensity de-pendence of the maximum frequency shift. The theory agrees with the measurements.
