Vacuum-gap-based lumped element Josephson parametric amplifier

We propose a lumped element Josephson parametric amplifier with vacuum-gap-based capacitor.The capacitor is made of quasi-floating aluminum pad and on-chip ground.We take a fabrication process compatible with air-bridge technology,which makes our design adaptable for future on-chip integrated quantum computing system.Further engineering the input impedance,we obtain a gain above 20 dB over 162-MHz bandwidth,along with a quasi quantum-limit noise performance.This work should facilitate the development of quantum information processing and integrated superconducting circuit design.     

Elastic,dielectric, and piezoelectric characterization of 0.92Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.08PbTiO3 single crystal by Brillouin scattering

In this paper,a complete set of elastic,piezoelectric,and dielectric constants of high-quality tetragonal poled0.92Pb(Zn_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_3-0.08PbTiO_3 single crystal grown by the modified flux method is determined using high-resolution Brillouin scattering.A comparison is made between the results obtained by a hybrid method combining ultrasonic and resonant techniques and the results obtained by the Brillouin scattering.The elastic,piezoelectric,and dielectric constants obtained by the two methods are similar.The Brillouin spectrum consists of one longitudinal and two transverse acoustic phonon modes,and the variations of the Brillouin shifts,the full widths at half maximum,and the scattering intensities of these modes with scattering angle 9 are investigated.In particular,the transverse acoustic phonon mode at the lowfrequency becomes markedly soft from 28.2 GHz to 18.4 GHz and broadens gradually with the increase of θ,while its intensity decreases gradually as compared with that of the original one.The possible origins of the results are discussed.     

A polarized micro-Raman study of a 0.65PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 - 0.35PbTiO3 single crystal

Polarized micro-Raman spectra of a 0.65PbMg_1/3Nb_2/3O₃-0.35PbTiO₃ (0.65PMN-0.35PT) single crystal poled in the [001] direction are obtained in a wide frequency range (50-2000 cm^-1) at different temperatures. The best fit to the Raman spectrum at 77 K is achieved using 17 Lorenzians to convolute into it, and this is proved to be a reasonable fit. According to the group theory and selection rules of overtone and combinational modes, apart from the seven Raman modes that are from first-order Raman scattering, the remaining ones are attributed to being from second-order Raman scattering. A comparison between the experimental results and theoretical predictions shows that they are in satisfactory agreement with each other. Our results indicate that at 77 K the sample belongs to the rhombohedral symmetry with the C_3v⁵ (R3m) space group (Z=1). In our study, on heating, the 0.65PMN-0.35PT single crystal undergoes a rhombohedral to tetragonal to cubic phase transition sequence. The two phase transitions occur at 340 and 440 K, which correspond to the disappearance of the soft mode near 106 cm^-1 recorded in VV polarization and the vanishing of the band around 780 cm^-1 in VH polarization, respectively.     

Determination of elastic, piezoelectric, and dielectric constants of an R:BaTiO3 single crystal by Brillouin scattering

From the sound velocity measured using the Brillouin scattering technique, the elastic, piezoelectric, and dielectric constants of a high-quality monodomain tetragonal Rh：BaTiO3 single crystal are determined at room temperature. The elastic constants are in fairly good agreement with those of the BaTiO3 single crystal, measured previously by Brillouin scattering and the low-frequency equivalent circuit methods. However, their electromeehanical properties are significantly different. Based on the sound propagation equations and these results, the directional dependence of the compressional modulus and the shear modulus of Rh：BaTiO3 in the （010） plane is investigated. Some properties of sound propagation and electromechanical coupling in the crystal are discussed.

Pd OECC薄膜的表面增强拉曼散射

利用较高检测灵敏度的 SERS技术 ,对浓度较低的 Pd OECC吸附在银表面上的薄层在室温下进行了拉曼谱的测量。得到 Pd OECC在强光破坏前后的 SERS光谱。在强光照射下 ,β-胡萝卜素分子的 SERS光谱的散射强度明显降低 ,且线宽增加 ,说明强光照射不但改变了β-胡萝卜素的构象 ,而且也改变了 β-胡萝卜素分子所处的微环境。其结果与强光照射前后吸收光谱的变化相一致。另外 ,没有观察到 Pd OECC薄层与银镜相互作用的其它新振动峰或Pd OECC中其它振动峰峰型的变化 ,可见 Pd OECC在银镜表面保持原来的状态 ,这证明SERS技术在光合作用光破坏机理研究中的可行性     

激光束在LiNbO_3:Fe晶体中的异常衍射现象(Ⅰ) e光入e光出的衍射

根据的相位光栅各向异性衍射理论,应用顾世杰、李荫远发展的方法,对于激光束在厚的LiNbO_3:Fe晶体(厚度≈1cm)中的异常衍射现象作了计算。如果晶体中被照射后有无规的电荷富集分布,则Fourier分解后可得到无穷个相位光栅,衍射图形决定于光栅的衍射效率。计算结果表明,对e光入e光出的衍射图形,可以解释中央光斑(由透镜效应所决定)两边的光瓣。结果与实验基本符合。
