A new method and corresponding numerical procedure are introduced to estimate scaling exponents of power-law degree distribution and hierarchical clustering func tion for complex networks. This method can overcome the biased and inaccurate faults of graphical linear fitting methods commonly used in current network research. Furthermore, it is verified to have higher goodness-of-fit than graphical methods by comparing the KS (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) test statistics for 10 CNN (Connecting Nearest-Neighbor)networks. 相似文献

We prove that the tolerance lattice TolA of an algebra A from a congruence modular variety V is 0-1 modular and satisfies the general disjointness property. If V is congruence distributive, then the lattice Tol A is pseudocomplemented. If V admits a majority term, then Tol A is 0-modular.

Ab initio DFT computations reveal that the essential structural and photophysical features of the conjugated π‐electron system of retinal and carotenoids are dictated by “innocent” methyl substituents. These methyl groups shape the conformation and symmetry of the isoprenoid chromophores by causing a sigmoidal distortion of the polyene skeleton and increasing its flexibility, which facilitates fitting to their binding pockets in proteins. Comparison of in vacuo conformations of the chromophores with their native (protein‐bound) conformations showed, surprisingly, that the peripheral groups and interactions with the protein environment are much less significant than the methyl side groups in tuning their structural features. The methyl side groups also contribute to a loss of symmetry elements specific to linear polyenes. In effect, the symmetry‐imposed restrictions on the chromophore electronic properties are disabled, which is of tremendous relevance to their photophysics. This is evidenced by their non‐negligible permanent dipole moments and by the simulated and experimentally measured circular dichroism spectra, which necessarily reflect the chirality of the conjugated π‐electron system. 相似文献

On the basis of modularity optimization, a genetic algorithm is proposed to detect community structure in networks by defining a local search operator. The local search operator emphasizes two features: one is that the connected nodes in a network should be located in the same community, while the other is “local selection” inspired by the mechanisms of efficient message delivery underlying the small‐world phenomenon. The results of community detection for some classic networks, such as Ucinet and Pajek networks, indicate that our algorithm achieves better community structure than other methodologies based on modularity optimization, such as the algorithms based on betweenness analysis, simulated annealing, or Tasgin and Bingol's genetic algorithm. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 模块性(modularity)是度量网络社区结构(community structure)的主要参数.探讨了Watts和Strogatz的小世界网络(简称W-S模型)以及Barabàsi 等的B-A无标度网络(简称B-A模型)两类典型复杂网络模块性特点.结果显示,网络模块性受到网络连接稀疏的影响,W-S模型具有显著的社区结构,而B-A模型的社区结构特征不明显.因此,应用中应该分别讨论网络的小世界现象和无标度特性.社区结构不同于小世界现象和无标度特性,并可以利用模块性区别网络类型,因此网络复杂性指标应该包括

In this paper, cascading failure is studied by coupled map lattice (CML) methods in preferential attachment community networks. It is found that external perturbation R is increasing with modularity Q growing by simulation. In particular, the large modularity Q can hold off the cascading failure dynamic process in community networks. Furthermore, different attack strategies also greatly affect the cascading failure dynamic process.
