The reaction cross-sections of 124Xe(n, 2n)123Xe, 126Xe(n, 2n)125Xe, 128Xe(n, 2n)127Xe, 130Xe(n, 2n)129mXe, 132Xe(n, 2n)131mXe, 130Xe(n, p)130I, 131Xe(n, p)131I, and 132Xe(n, p)132I were measured at the 13.5, 13.8, 14.1, 14.4, and 14.8 MeV neutron energies. The monoenergetic neutrons were generated via the 3H(d,n)4He reaction at the China Academy of Engineering Physics using the K-400 Neutron Generator with a solid 3H-Ti target. A high-purity germanium detector was employed to measure the activities of the product. The reactions 93Nb(n, 2n)92mNb and 27Al(n, α)24Na were adopted for neutron flux calibration. The cross sections of the (n, 2n) and (n, p) reactions of the xenon isotopes were obtained within the 13–15 MeV neutron energy range. These cross-sections were then compared with the IAEA-exchange format (EXFOR) database-derived experimental data, together with the evaluation results of the CENDL-3, ENDF/B-VIII.0, JENDL-4.0, RUSFOND, and JEFF-3.3 data libraries, as well as the theoretical excitation function obtained using the TALYS-1.95 code. The cross-sections of the reactions (except for the 124Xe(n, 2n)123Xe and 132Xe(n, p)132I) at 13.5, 13.8, and 14.1 MeV are reported for the first time in this study. The obtained results are beneficial in providing better cross-section constraints for the reactions in the 13–15 MeV region, thus improving the quality of the corresponding database. This review critically evaluates the plastic accumulation challenges and their environmental (primarily) and human (secondarily) impacts. It also emphasizes on their degradation and fragmentation phenomena under marine conditions. In addition, it takes into account the leachability of the various chemical substances (additives) embedded in plastic products to improve their polymeric properties and extend their life. Regardless of their effectiveness in enhancing the polymeric function of plastic products, these additives can potentially contaminate air, soil, food, and water. Several findings have shown that, regardless of their types and sizes, plastics can be degraded and/or fragmented under marine conditions. Therefore, the estimation of fragmentation and degradation rates via a reliable developed model is required to better understand the marine environmental status. The main parameter, which is responsible for initiating the fragmentation of plastics, is sunlight/UV radiation. Yet, UV- radiation alone is not enough to fragment some plastic polymer types under marine conditions, additional factors are needed such as mechanical abrasion. It should be also mentioned that most current studies on plastic degradation and fragmentation centered on the primary stages of degradation. Thus, further studies are needed to better understand these phenomena and to identify their fate and environmental effects. 相似文献

Typical random codes (TRCs) in a communication scenario of source coding with side information in the decoder is the main subject of this work. We study the semi-deterministic code ensemble, which is a certain variant of the ordinary random binning code ensemble. In this code ensemble, the relatively small type classes of the source are deterministically partitioned into the available bins in a one-to-one manner. As a consequence, the error probability decreases dramatically. The random binning error exponent and the error exponent of the TRCs are derived and proved to be equal to one another in a few important special cases. We show that the performance under optimal decoding can be attained also by certain universal decoders, e.g., the stochastic likelihood decoder with an empirical entropy metric. Moreover, we discuss the trade-offs between the error exponent and the excess-rate exponent for the typical random semi-deterministic code and characterize its optimal rate function. We show that for any pair of correlated information sources, both error and excess-rate probabilities exponential vanish when the blocklength tends to infinity. 相似文献

In this paper we investigate two-point algebraic-geometry codes (AG codes) coming from the Beelen-Montanucci (BM) maximal curve. We study properties of certain two-point Weierstrass semigroups of the curve and use them for determining a lower bound on the minimum distance of such codes. AG codes with better parameters with respect to comparable two-point codes from the Garcia-Güneri-Stichtenoth (GGS) curve are discovered. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a mechanism on how to construct long MDS self-dual codes from short ones. These codes are special types of generalized Reed-Solomon (GRS) codes or extended generalized Reed-Solomon codes. Here one‐error‐correcting () MDS codes are classified for small alphabets. In particular, it is shown that there are unique (5, 53, 3)5 and (5, 73, 3)7 codes and equivalence classes of (5, 83, 3)8 codes.
