Maximizing H‐Colorings of Connected Graphs with Fixed Minimum Degree

For graphs G and H , an H‐coloring of G is a map from the vertices of G to the vertices of H that preserves edge adjacency. We consider the following extremal enumerative question: for a given H , which connected n‐vertex graph with minimum degree δ maximizes the number of H‐colorings? We show that for nonregular H and sufficiently large n , the complete bipartite graph is the unique maximizer. As a corollary, for nonregular H and sufficiently large n the graph is the unique k‐connected graph that maximizes the number of H‐colorings among all k‐connected graphs. Finally, we show that this conclusion does not hold for all regular H by exhibiting a connected n‐vertex graph with minimum degree δ that has more ‐colorings (for sufficiently large q and n ) than .     

On Gorenstein Projective Dimensions of Unbounded Complexes

Let R → S be a ring homomorphism and X be a complex of R-modules. Then the complex of S-modules S?_R~L X in the derived category D(S) is constructed in the natural way. This paper is devoted to dealing with the relationships of the Gorenstein projective dimension of an R-complex X(possibly unbounded) with those of the S-complex S?_R~L X.It is shown that if R is a Noetherian ring of finite Krull dimension and φ : R → S is a faithfully flat ring homomorphism, then for any homologically degree-wise finite complex X, there is an equality Gpd_RX = GpdS(S?_R~L X). Similar result is obtained for Ding projective dimension of the S-complex S?_R~L X.

On homotopy groups of quandle spaces and the quandle homotopy invariant of links

For a quandle X, the quandle space BX is defined, modifying the rack space of Fenn, Rourke and Sanderson (1995) [13], and the quandle homotopy invariant of links is defined in Z[π₂(BX)], modifying the rack homotopy invariant of Fenn, Rourke and Sanderson (1995) [13]. It is known that the cocycle invariants introduced in Carter et al. (2005) [3], Carter et al. (2003) [5], Carter et al. (2001) [6] can be derived from the quandle homotopy invariant.In this paper, we show that, for a finite quandle X, π₂(BX) is finitely generated, and that, for a connected finite quandle X, π₂(BX) is finite. It follows that the space spanned by cocycle invariants for a finite quandle is finitely generated. Further, we calculate π₂(BX) for some concrete quandles. From the calculation, all cocycle invariants for those quandles are concretely presented. Moreover, we show formulas of the quandle homotopy invariant for connected sum of knots and for the mirror image of links.     

基于格半群的有限状态自动机的同态

本文研究了格值有限状态自动机(LFSA)的同态和强同态及其性质.利用强同态概念,在格值有限状态自动机的状态集上建立了一种等价关系,得到了格值有限状态自动机的商自动机,证明了商自动机与强同态像自动机同构.     

N(2,2,0)代数的稳定化子与同余分解

为了深入研究N(2,2,0)代数的代数结构,首先利用代数的推理方法进一步研究了N(2,2,0)代数的稳定化子,改进了以前学者的部分结果,然后利用稳定化子建立了一种同余关系,给出了N(2,2,0)代数的同余分解,证明了其商代数仍是N(2,2,0)代数,并获得了自然同态下一类逆像的代数结构和性质.     

A generalization of the Erdös-Ko-Rado theorem

In this note, we investigate some properties of local Kneser graphs defined in [János Körner, Concetta Pilotto, Gábor Simonyi, Local chromatic number and sperner capacity, J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 95 (1) (2005) 101-117]. In this regard, as a generalization of the Erdös-Ko-Rado theorem, we characterize the maximum independent sets of local Kneser graphs. Next, we provide an upper bound for their chromatic number.     

A partial order in the knot table II

A partial order on the set of the prime knots can be defined by the existence of a surjective homomorphism between knot groups. In the previous paper, we determined the partial order in the knot table. In this paper, we prove that 31 and 41 are minimal elements. Further, we study which surjection a pair of a periodic knot and its quotient knot induces, and which surjection a degree one map can induce.     

Lp径向Blaschke-Minkowski同态的Lp对偶几何表面积

2006年，Schuster提出了径向Blaschke-Minkowski同态的概念.随后，汪卫等人将其推广到L_p径向Blaschke-Minkowski同态.本文结合L_p对偶几何表面积，建立了L_p径向Blaschke-Minkowski同态的若干不等式，包括Brunn-Minkowski型不等式和单调不等式.并给出了L_p径向Blaschke-Minkowski同态的Busemann-Petty问题的肯定和否定形式.     

On Grothendieck Subspaces

The modulus of an order bounded functional on a Riesz space is the sum of a pair of Riesz homomorphisms if and only if the kernel of this functional is a Grothendieck subspace of the ambient Riesz space.
