On the prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic 3‐manifolds

Through the Selberg zeta approach, we reduce the exponent in the error term of the prime geodesic theorem for cocompact Kleinian groups or Bianchi groups from Sarnak's to . At the cost of excluding a set of finite logarithmic measure, the bound is further improved to .     

Curvature computations for a two-component Camassa-Holm equation with vorticity

In the present paper, a two-component Camassa-Holm (2CH) system with vorticity is studied as a geodesic flow on a suitable Lie group. The paper aims at presenting various details of the geometric formalism and a major result is the computation of the sectional curvature K of the underlying configuration manifold. As a further result, we show that there are directions for which K is strictly positive and bounded away from zero.     

Errata and addendum to “On the prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic ‐manifolds” Math. Nachr. 291 (2018), no. 14–15, 2160–2167

We correct the exponent in the error term of the prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic 3‐manifolds 1 and in Park's theorem for higher dimensions [ 3 , 2 ].

A Note on the Stability of Geodesics on Diffeomorphism Groups with One-side Invariant Metric

In this note,we consider the stability of geodesics on volume-preserving diffeomorphism groups with one-side invariant metric.We showed that for non-Beltrami fields on a three-dimensional compact manifold,there does not exist Eulerian stable flow which is Lagrangian exponential unstable.We noticed that a stationary flow corresponding to the KdV equation can be Eulerian stable while the corresponding motion of the fluid is at most exponentially unstable.     

Parallel and totally geodesic hypersurfaces of non-reductive homogeneous four-manifolds

We classify totally geodesic and parallel hypersurfaces of four-dimensional non-reductive homogeneous pseudo-Riemannian manifolds.     

Codimension reduction in symmetric spaces

In this paper we give a short geometric proof of a generalization of a well-known result about reduction of codimension for submanifolds of Riemannian symmetric spaces.
