Synthesis, Structure and Optical Properties of Cerium(Ⅲ) Triphosphate CeP3O9

The single crystal and crystallized powder of triphosphate CeP3O9 have been synthesized, and the space group of CeP3O9 has been determined to be C2221 with the cell parameters ofa = 8.6059, b = 11.2437, c = 7.3518 (A), V= 711.4(3) (A)3, Z= 4, Dc = 3.520 g/cm3, F(000) = 700,R = 0.0377 and wR = 0.0930. The absorption and emission spectra have been measured, for which the strongest absorption and emission peaks are located at 280 and 320 nm, respectively. The density of state (DOS) and dielectric function have been calculated by the DFT method. The crystal is transparent provided the wavelength is larger than 341 nm, and the observed ultraviolet cut-off edge is at about 350 nm for a polycrystalline power sample. It is possible that the triphosphate CeP3O9 will become an ultraviolet emission material.     

A characterization of probability distributions by mean values

In this paper we describe a class of function (x) such that the distribution ofX, Y, Z is determined by the funetion (t, u, v). The main result is a generalization of the author's characterization of normal and stable distributions.     

COMONOTONE APPROXIMATION WITH INTERPOLATION AT THE ENDS ON AN INTERVAL

Let a function f ∈ C[-1, 1], changes its monotonisity at the finite collection Y := {y1,… ,ys} of s points yi ∈ (-1, 1). For each n ≥ N(Y), we construct an algebraic polynomial Pn, of degree ≤ n, which is comonotone with f, that is changes its monotonisity at the same points yi as f, and |f(x)-Pn(x)|≤c(s)ω2(f,(√1-x2)/n), x∈[-1,1],where N(Y) is a constant depending only on Y, c(s) is a constant depending only on s and ω2 (f, t) is the second modulus of smoothness of f.     

SOME MULTIPLIER THEOREMS FOR ANISOTROPIC HARDY SPACES ——In Memory of Professor Yongsheng Sun

Let A be a symmetric expansive matrix and Hp(Rn) be the anisotropic Hardy space associated with A. For a function m in L∞(Rn), an appropriately chosen function η in Cc∞(Rn) and j ∈ Z define mj(ξ) = m(Ajξ)η(ξ). The authors show that if 0 ＜ p ＜ 1 and (m)j belongs to the anisotropic nonhomogeneous Herz space K11/p-1,p(Rn), then m is a Fourier multiplier from Hp(Rn) to Lp(Rn). For p = 1, a similar result is obtained if the space K10,1(Rn) is replaced by a slightly smaller space K(w).Moreover, the authors show that if 0 ＜ p ≤ 1 and if the sequence {(mj)V} belongs to a certain mixednorm space, depending on p, then m is also a Fourier multiplier from Hp(Rn) to Lp(Rn).     

NONLINEAR APPROXIMATION WITH GENERAL WAVE PACKETS

We study nonlinear approximation in the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces with dictionaries formed by dilating and translating one single function g. A general Jackson inequality is derived for best m-term approximation with such dictionaries. In some special cases where g has a special structure, a complete characterization of the approximation spaces is derived.
