When R is a free algebra we describe the cyclic cohomology of A in terms of traces defined on R or powers of I. This paper presents a simple chaotic circuit consisting of two capacitors, one linear two-port VCCS and one time-state-controlled
impulsive switch. The impulsive switch causes rich chaotic and periodic behavior. The circuit dynamics can be simplified into
a one-dimensional return map that is piecewise linear and piecewise monotone. Using the return map, we clarify parameter conditions

In many-valued logic the decision of functional completeness is a basic and important problem, and the thorough solution to this problem depends on determining all maximal closed sets in the set of many-valued logic functions. It includes three famous problems, i.e., to determine all maximal closed sets in the set of the total, of the partial and of the unary many-valued logic functions, respectively. The first two problems have been completely solved ([1], [2], [8]), and the solution to the third problem boils down to determining all maximal subgroups in the k-degree symmetric group Sk, which is an open problem in the finite group theory. We present the next step in an ongoing research program to allow for the black-box computation of the so-called finite-genus solutions of integrable differential equations. This next step consists of the black-box computation of the Abel map from a Riemann surface to its Jacobian. Using a plane algebraic curve representation of the Riemann surface, we provide an algorithm for the numerical computation of this Abel map. Since our plane algebraic curves are of arbitrary degree and may have arbitrary singularities, the Abel map of any connected compact Riemann surface may be obtained in this way. This generality is necessary in order for these algorithms to be relevant for the computation of the finite-genus solutions of any integrable equation. 相似文献

This Letter presents an adaptive neural network control method for the chaos control problem. Based on a single layer neural network, the dynamic about the unstable fixed period point of the chaotic system can be adaptively identified without detailed information about the chaotic system. And the controlled chaotic system can be stabilized on the unstable fixed period orbit. Simulation results of Henon map and Lorenz system verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method. 相似文献

The phase diagram of the coupled sine circle map system exhibits a variety of interesting phenomena including spreading regions
with spatiotemporal intermittency, non-spreading regions with spatial intermittency, and coherent structures termed solitons.
A spreading to non-spreading transition is seen in the system. A cellular automaton version of the coupled system maps the
spreading to non-spreading transition to a transition from a probabilistic to a deterministic cellular automaton. The solitonic
sector of the system shows spatiotemporal intermittency with soliton creation, propagation and absorption. A probabilistic
cellular automaton mapping is set up for this sector which can identify each one of these phenomena.

Summary A tool for analyzing spatio-temporal complex physical phenomena was recently proposed by the authors, Aubry et al. [5]. This
tool consists in decomposing a spatially and temporally evolving signal into orthogonal temporal modes (temporal “structures”)
and orthogonal spatial modes (spatial “structures”) which are coupled. This allows the introduction of a temporal configuration
space and a spatial one which are related to each other by an isomorphism. In this paper, we show how such a tool can be used
to analyze space-time bifurcations, that is, qualitative changes in both space and time as a parameter varies. The Hopf bifurcation
and various spatio-temporal symmetry related bifurcations, such as bifurcations to traveling waves, are studied in detail.
In particular, it is shown that symmetry-breaking bifurcations can be detected by analyzing the temporal and spatial eigenspaces
of the decomposition which then lose their degeneracy, namely their invariance under the symmetry. Furthermore, we show how
an extension of the theory to “quasi-symmetries” permits the treatment of nondegenerate signals and leads to an exponentially
decreasing law of the energy spectrum. Examples extracted from numerically obtained solutions of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky
equation, a coupled map lattice, and fully developed turbulence are given to illustrate the theory. 相似文献
