Results on the global existence of classical solutions for quasilinear parabolic equations in bounded domains with homogeneous Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions are presented. Besides quasilinear parabolic equations, the method is also applicable to some weakly-coupled reaction-diffusion systems and to elliptic equations with nonlinear dynamic boundary conditions. Numerical approximations of Cahn-Hilliard phase-field model for the two-phase incompressible flows are considered in this paper.Several efficient and energy stable time discretization schemes for the coupled nonlinear Cahn-Hilliard phase-field system for both the matched density case and the variable density case are constructed,and are shown to satisfy discrete energy laws which are analogous to the continuous energy laws.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a multi-dimensional wave equation with dynamic boundary conditions, related to the Kelvin–Voigt damping. Global existence and asymptotic stability of solutions starting in a stable set are proved. Blow up for solutions of the problem with linear dynamic boundary conditions with initial data in the unstable set is also obtained.  相似文献

We consider an evolution model describing the vertical movement of water and salt in a domain splitted in two parts: a water reservoir and a saturated porous medium below it, in which a continuous extraction of fresh water takes place (by the roots of mangroves). The problem is formulated in terms of a coupled system of partial differential equations for the salt concentration and the water flow in the porous medium, with a dynamic boundary condition which connects both subdomains.We study the existence and uniqueness of solutions, the stability of the trivial steady state solution, and the conditions for the root zone to reach, in finite time, the threshold value of salt concentration under which mangroves may live.  相似文献

In this paper, we exhibit a unified treatment of the mixed initial boundary value problem for second order (in time) parabolic linear differential equations in Banach spaces, whose boundary conditions are of a dynamical nature. Results regarding existence, uniqueness, continuous dependence (on initial data) and regularity of classical and strict solutions are established. Moreover, several examples are given as samples for possible applications.
