Asymptotic results for weighted means of linear combinations of independent Poisson random variables

ABSTRACT

In this paper we prove the large deviation principle for a class of weighted means of linear combinations of independent Poisson distributed random variables, which converge weakly to a normal distribution. The interest in these linear combinations is motivated by the diffusion approximation in Lansky [On approximations of Stein's neuronal model, J. Theoret. Biol. 107 (1984), pp. 631–647] of the Stein's neuronal model (see Stein [A theoretical analysis of neuronal variability, Biophys. J. 5 (1965), pp. 173–194]). We also prove an analogue result for sequences of multivariate random variables based on the diffusion approximation in Tamborrino, Sacerdote, and Jacobsen [Weak convergence of marked point processes generated by crossings of multivariate jump processes. Applications to neural network modeling, Phys. D 288 (2014), pp. 45–52]. The weighted means studied in this paper generalize the logarithmic means. We also investigate moderate deviations.     

基于Retinex理论与概率非局部均值的红外图像增强方法

针对传统红外图像增强算法中细节模糊及过度增强的问题,提出了一种基于Retinex理论与概率非局部均值相结合的红外图像增强方法.首先通过单尺度Retinex方法调整图像中过暗与过亮部分的灰度级;然后利用概率非局部均值对图像进行分解处理得到基本层与细节层,对基本层采用直方图均衡化拉伸对比度,对细节层采用非线性函数进行增强;最后,将不同层次的结果融合得到对比度与细节增强的红外图像.用该方法对多组不同场景的红外图像进行仿真实验,并将其与多种增强方法进行主、客观对比分析,结果表明所提方法在红外图像的细节及对比度增强方面都获得了更好的效果.     

A Unified Approach to Local Quantum Uncertainty and Interferometric Power by Metric Adjusted Skew Information

Local quantum uncertainty and interferometric power were introduced by Girolami et al. as geometric quantifiers of quantum correlations. The aim of the present paper is to discuss their properties in a unified manner by means of the metric adjusted skew information defined by Hansen.     

Approximation by walsh-kaczmarz-fejér means on the hardy space

The main aim of this paper is to find necessary and sufficient conditions for the convergence of Walsh-Kaczmarz-Fejér means in the terms of the modulus of continuity on the Hardy spaces H_p, when 0<p≤ 1/2.

Matrix approaches to approximate solutions of variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces

A matrix approach to approximating solutions of variational inequalities in Hilbert spaces is introduced. This approach uses two matrices: one for iteration process and the other for regularization. Ergodicity and convergence (both weak and strong) are studied. Our methods combine new or well-known iterative methods (such as the original Mann’s method) with regularized processes involved regular matrices in the sense of Toeplitz.

Superiority of zoom lens coupling in designing a novel X-ray image detector

We design a novel X-ray image detector by lens coupling a Gd2O2S:Tb intensifying screen with a high performance low-light-level (L3,which often means luminescence less than 10-3 Lux) image intensifier.Different coupling effects on imaging performance between zoom lens and fix-focus lens are analyzed theoretically.In experiment,for designing a detector of 15-inch visual field,the system coupled by zoom lens is of 12.25-1p/cm resolution,while the one with fix-focus lens is 10 lp/cm.The superiority of zoom lens is validated.It is concluded that zoom lens preserves the image information better than fix-focus lens and improves the imaging system's performance in this design,which is referential to the design of other optical imaging systems.
