On a sufficient condition for a Fano manifold to be covered by rational N-folds

In this paper, we prove a conjecture by T. Suzuki, which says if a smooth Fano manifold satisfies some positivity condition on its Chern characters, then it can be covered by rational N-folds. We prove this conjecture by using purely combinatorial properties of Bernoulli numbers.     

Efficient remainder rule

Understanding the solution of a problem may require the reader to have background knowledge on the subject. For instance, finding an integer which, when divided by a nonzero integer leaves a remainder; but when divided by another nonzero integer may leave a different remainder. To find a smallest positive integer or a set of integers following the given conditions, one may need to understand the concept of modulo arithmetic in number theory. The Chinese Remainder Theorem is a known method to solve these types of problems using modulo arithmetic. In this paper, an efficient remainder rule has been proposed based on basic mathematical concepts. These core concepts are as follows: basic remainder rules of divisions, linear equation in slope intercept form, arithmetic progression and the use of a graphing calculator. These are easily understood by students who have taken prealgebra or intermediate algebra.     

Entropy numbers in ‐Banach spaces

Let X be a quasi‐Banach space, Y be a γ‐Banach space and T be a bounded linear operator from X into Y . In this paper, we prove that the first outer entropy number of T lies between and ; more precisely, , and the constant is sharp. Moreover, we show that there exist a Banach space X ₀, a γ‐Banach space Y ₀ and a bounded linear operator such that for all positive integers k . Finally, the paper also provides two‐sided estimates for entropy numbers of embeddings between finite dimensional symmetric γ‐Banach spaces.
