Let X be a metric space. We say that a continuous surjection f: X→X is a topological Anosov map (abbrev. TA-map) if f is expansive and has pseudo-orbit tracing property with respect to some compatible metric for X. This paper studies the properties of TA-maps of non-compact metric spaces and gives some conditions for the map to be topologically mixing.  相似文献

We consider the problem of computing the entropy of a braid. We recall its definition and for each braid construct a sequence of real numbers whose limit is the braid’s entropy. We state one conjecture on the convergence speed and two conjectures on braids that have high entropy but are written with few letters.   相似文献

Let S be a Riemann surface of analytically finite type (p, n) with 3p-3+n 〉 0. Let a ∈ S and S = S - {a}. In this article, the author studies those pseudo-Anosov maps on S that are isotopic to the identity on S and can be represented by products of Dehn twists. It is also proved that for any pseudo-Anosov map f of S isotopic to the identity on S, there are infinitely many pseudo-Anosov maps F on S - {b} = S - {a, b}, where b is a point on S, such that F is isotopic to f on S as b is filled in.  相似文献
