Numerical treatment of solving singular integral equations by using Sinc approximations

In this paper we propose numerical treatment for singular integral equations. The methods are developed by means of the Sinc approximation with smoothing transformations. Such approximation is an effective technique against the singularities of the equations, and achieves exponential convergence. Therefore the methods improve conventional results where only polynomial convergence have been reported. The resulting algebraic system is solved by least squares approximation and leap frog algorithm. Estimation of errors of the approximate solution is presented. Some experimental tests are presented to show the efficient of the proposed methods.     

New construction of special Lagrangian submanifolds in <Emphasis Type="Italic">T</Emphasis>*R<Superscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">n</Emphasis></Superscript> equipped with the standard metric

A class of twisted special Lagrangian submanifolds in T＊R^n and a kind of austere submanifold from conormal bundle of minimal surface of R^3 are constructed.     

Pointwise characterization for combinations of Szász-Mirakjan operators

The purpose of this paper is to characterize the pointwise rate of convergence for the combinations of Szász-Mirakjan operators using Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness.     

An application of Furuta inequality and its best possibility

This paper shows the best possibility for outer exponents of some inequalities under some conditions, and a counter example is obtained.     

2-Normalization of lattices

Let τ be a type of algebras. A valuation of terms of type τ is a function v assigning to each term t of type τ a value v(t) ⩾ 0. For k ⩾ 1, an identity s ≈ t of type τ is said to be k-normal (with respect to valuation v) if either s = t or both s and t have value ⩾ k. Taking k = 1 with respect to the usual depth valuation of terms gives the well-known property of normality of identities. A variety is called k-normal (with respect to the valuation v) if all its identities are k-normal. For any variety V, there is a least k-normal variety N _k (V) containing V, namely the variety determined by the set of all k-normal identities of V. The concept of k-normalization was introduced by K. Denecke and S. L. Wismath in their paper (Algebra Univers., 50, 2003, pp.107–128) and an algebraic characterization of the elements of N _k (V) in terms of the algebras in V was given in (Algebra Univers., 51, 2004, pp. 395–409). In this paper we study the algebras of the variety N ₂(V) where V is the type (2, 2) variety L of lattices and our valuation is the usual depth valuation of terms. We introduce a construction called the 3-level inflation of a lattice, and use the order-theoretic properties of lattices to show that the variety N ₂(L) is precisely the class of all 3-level inflations of lattices. STABLE DOUBLE LR ALGORITHM AND ITS ERROR ANALYSIS

In this paper, the normative matrices and their double LR transformation with origin shifts are defined, and the essential relationship between the double LR transformation of a normative matrix and the QR transformation of the related symmetric tridiagonal matrix is proved. We obtain a stable double LR algorithm for double LR transformation of normative matrices and give the error analysis of our algorithm. The operation number of the stable double LR algorithm for normative matrices is only four sevenths of the rational QR algorithm for reed symmetric tridiagonal matrices.

A centrosymmetric chaos

Symmetry plays an important part in the research of the dynamical behavior of nonlinear system. It is proved in this paper that, for a class of centrosymmetric systems with parametric excitation, chaos behaves in centrosymmetric manner, which implies that chaos need not to be an unsymmetric dynamical state.
