Under weak conditions, we present an iteration formula to improve Newton's method for solving nonlinear equations. The method is free from second derivatives, permitting f′(x)=0 in some points and per iteration it requires two evaluations of the given function and one evaluation of its derivative. Analysis of convergence demonstrates that the new method is cubically convergent. Some numerical examples illustrate that the algorithm is more efficient and performs better than classical Newton's method. 相似文献

In this paper, finite volume method is used to solve a one-dimensional parabolic inverse problem with source term and Neumann boundary conditions for the first time. Some advantages of this approach are developing difference schemes and maintaining certain properties of the physics of the problems, especially for the treatment of the source term and the unknown boundary conditions. A new continuity theorem of minimum selection is presented for a continuous set-valued operator from a topological space into a Banach space with some uniform convexity. As applications, some problems concerning minimum right inverses for linear operators and minimum fixed points for condensing set-valued nonlinear operators are discussed. In this paper, the super-linearly and quadratically convergent strong sub-feasible method [J.L. Li, J.B. Korteweg-de Vries (KdV)-type equations can describe some physical phenomena in fluids, nonlinear optics, quantum mechanics, plasmas, etc. In this paper, with the aid of symbolic computation, the integrable sixth-order KdV equation is investigated. Darboux transformation (DT) with an arbitrary parameter is presented. Explicit solutions are derived with the DT. Relevant properties are graphically illustrated, which might be helpful to understand some physical processes in fluids, plasmas, optics and quantum mechanics. 相似文献

研究了一类具有脉冲效应和时变时滞的灰色随机系统的鲁棒稳定性问题。在给出了脉冲随机泛函微分系统随机稳定性的条件的基础上,首先利用Lyapunov-KrasoVskii泛函法和灰矩阵的连续矩阵覆盖的分解技术,得到了具有脉冲效应和时变时滞的灰色随机系统的随机鲁棒稳定性判据,进而基于所得的这个随机鲁棒稳定性判据和Dini导数,给出了该系统指数鲁棒稳定性的判据。实例表明,所得判据是有效的和实用的。 相似文献
