The effects of temperature-dependent viscosity, gravity modulation and thermo-mechanical anisotropies on heat transport in a low-porosity medium are studied using the Ginzburg–Landau model. The effect of gravity modulation is to decrease the Nusselt number, Nu and variable viscosity leads to increase in Nu. The thermo-mechanical anisotropies have opposite effect on Nu with thermal anisotropy decreasing the heat transport.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the cluster synchronization problem for networks with nonlinearly coupled nonidentical dynamical systems and asymmetrical coupling matrix by using pinning control. We derive sufficient conditions for cluster synchronization for any initial values through a feedback scheme and propose an adaptive feedback algorithm that adjusts the coupling strength. Some numerical examples are then given to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

A nonlocal elastic beam model is developed to investigate the small scale effects on the large-amplitude vibration analysis of embedded multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) at an elevated temperature. The nested slender nanotubes are coupled with each other through the van der Waals (vdW) interlayer interaction. The curvature-dependent vdW force employed incorporates not only pairwise nearest-neighbor but also nonneighbor interactions between nested nanotubes. The incremental harmonic balance method is adopted to analytically solve the nonlinear equations that are governed by the vibrations of nested nanotubes. The influences of small scale parameter, geometrical parameters, temperature rise, and the elastic medium are fully examined.  相似文献

In this paper, we first discuss the existence of an equilibrium point to a general Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with multiple delays by means of using degree theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. Then by applying the existence result of an equilibrium point, linear matrix inequality technique and constructing a Lyapunov functional, we study the global exponential stability of equilibrium solution to the Cohen–Grossberg neural networks. Compared with known results, our results of global exponential stability of equilibrium point are new. In our results, the hypothesis for differentiability in existing papers on the behaved functions is removed and the hypotheses for boundedness and monotonicity in existing papers on the activation functions are also removed.  相似文献

In the present paper, the delayed feedback control is applied to suppress or stabilize the vibration of the primary system in a two degree-of-freedom dynamical system with parametrically excited pendulum. The case of a 1:2 internal resonance between pendulum and primary system is studied. The method of multiple scales is applied to obtain second-order approximations of the response of the system. The system stability and bifurcations of equilibrium point of the averaged equations are computed. It is shown that the delayed feedback control can be used to suppress the vibration or stabilize the system when the saturation control is invalid. The vibration of the primary system can be suppressed by the delayed feedback control when the original system is in the single-mode motion. The effect of gain and delay on the vibration suppression is discussed. As the delay varies at a fixed value of the gain, the vibration of the primary system can be suppressed at some values of the delay. The vibration suppression performance of the system is improved at a large value of the gain. The vibration of the primary system could be suppressed about 56% compared with the original system by choosing the appropriate values of gain and delay. The delayed feedback control also can be used to stabilize the system when the original system is unstable. The gain and delay could be chosen as the controlling parameters. Numerical simulation is agreement with the analytical solutions well.  相似文献

The new (2+1)-dimensional generalized KdV equation which exists the bilinear form is mainly discussed. We prove that the equation does not admit the Painlevé property even by taking the arbitrary constant a=0. However, this result is different from Radha and Lakshmanan??s work. In addition, based on Hirota bilinear method, periodic wave solutions in terms of Riemann theta function and rational solutions are derived, respectively. The asymptotic properties of the periodic wave solutions are analyzed in detail.  相似文献

In this paper, through designing some proper controllers and adaptive updating laws, the outer synchronization between drive-response networks with nonidentical topological structure and unknown parameters are achieved and the unknown parameters are identified under given assumption. Several sufficient conditions for achieving outer synchronization are derived. Numerical simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper studies the problem of the robustly exponential stabilization for uncertain Markovian jump systems with mode-dependent time-varying state delays. The contribution of this paper is two-fold. Firstly, by constructing a modified Lyapunov functional and using free-weighting matrices technique, some delay-dependent robustly exponential stability criteria of such systems are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which are less conservative than some existing ones. Secondly, a state feedback controller is designed, which can guarantee the robustly exponential stability of the uncertain closed-loop systems. Some illustrative numerical examples are given to demonstrate the reduced conservatism and applicability of the obtained results.  相似文献

A delayed oncolytic virus dynamics with continuous control is investigated. The local stability of the infected equilibrium is discussed by analyzing the associated characteristic transcendental equation. By choosing the delay ?? as a bifurcation parameter, we show that Hopf bifurcation can occur as the delay ?? crosses some critical values. Using the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction, explicit formulae are derived to determine the direction of bifurcations and the stability and other properties of bifurcating periodic solutions. Numerical simulations are carried out to support the theoretical results.  相似文献

The influence of partial slip, thermal radiation and temperature dependent fluid properties on the hydro-magnetic fluid flow and heat transfer over a flat plate with convective surface heat flux at the boundary and non-uniform heat source/sink is studied. The transverse magnetic field is assumed as a function of the distance from the origin. Also it is assumed that the fluid viscosity and the thermal conductivity vary as an inverse function and linear function of temperature respectively. Using the similarity transformation, the governing system of non-linear partial differential equations are transformed into similarity non-linear ordinary differential equations and are solved numerically using symbolic software MATHEMATICA 7.0. The numerical values obtained within the boundary layer for the dimensionless velocity, temperature, skin friction coefficient and the Nusselt number are presented through graphs and tables for several sets of values of the parameters. The effects of various physical parameters on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed from the physical point of view.  相似文献
