Controlling the spin transport at the single-molecule level, especially without the use of ferromagnetic contacts, becomes a focus of research in spintronics. Inspired by the progress on atomic-level molecular synthesis, through first-principles calculations, we investigate the spin-dependent electronic transport of graphene nanoflakes with side-bonded functional groups, contacted by atomic carbon chain electrodes. It is found that, by rotating the functional group, the spin polarization of the transmission at the Fermi level could be switched between completely polarized and unpolarized states. Moreover, the transition between spin-up and spin-down polarized states can also be achieved, operating as a dual-spin filter. Further analysis shows that, it is the spin-dependent shift of density of states, caused by the rotation, that triggers the shift of transmission peaks, and then results in the variation of spin polarization. Such a feature is found to be robust to the length of the nanoflake and the electrode material, showing great application potential. Those findings may throw light on the development of spintronic devices.  相似文献

In this article, a novel zwitterionic conjugated polyelectrolyte containing tetraphenylethene unit was synthesized via Pd‐catalyzed Sonogashira reaction. The resulting polymer (P2), which exhibited typical aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) properties, was weakly fluorescent in dilute DMSO solution and showed bright fluorescence emissions when aggregated in DMSO/water mixtures or fabricated into conjugated polymer nanoparticles (CPNs). The nanoparticles from P2 could be prepared by reprecipitation method with an average diameter around 23 nm. Notably, the cell‐staining efficiencies of lipid‐P2 nanoparticles could be enhanced with lipid encapsulation and these nanoparticles were endocytosed via caveolae‐mediated and clathrin‐mediated endocytosis pathways. Furthermore, the lipid‐P2 nanoparticles with low cytotoxicity, high photostability and efficient cell staining ability could be employed for in vitro detection of Fe3+ ions in A549 cells. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Weak signal detection has been widely used in many fields such as military and national economy. Aiming at the problem that the traditional stochastic resonance (SR) method can’t obtain the signal amplitude when detecting weak signals, the frequency and amplitude of the weak signal are obtained by combining the SR and chaos characteristics of the two-dimensional Duffing system. Firstly, the effects of two-dimensional Duffing system parameters a, b, k, noise intensity D on the Kramers rate and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are analyzed under the Gaussian white noise environment. The results show that the damping ratio K can hinder the SR effect of the system to some extent. Secondly, to solve the misjudgment of the state method of the weak signal amplitude in the detection, the Lyapunov exponent is used to assure the threshold's range, and the threshold of the chaotic critical state is found. Finally, the paper gives the processes of frequency and amplitude detection of multiple high-frequency signals, which realizes the effective detection of the frequency and amplitude of multiple high-frequency signals in a Gaussian white noise environment, and successfully applies the method to the accurate detection of boundary voltage amplitude in electrical impedance tomography.  相似文献

Considering the random impulses of mechanical noise and the limitations involved while identifying mechanical fault impulse signals via traditional measurement indices of signal-to-noise ratio, which require the characteristic frequency to be known in advance, this study proposes an adaptive unsaturated stochastic resonance method employing maximum cross-correlated kurtosis as the signal detection index. The proposed method combines the features of a cross-correlated coefficient to indicate periodic fault transients and those of spectrum kurtosis to locate these transients in the frequency domain. Actual vibration signals collected from motor and gear bearings subjected to heavy noise are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Through a coarse tree-based machine learning method, the proposed method is verified to be more suitable for explaining the periodic impulse components of bearing signals, as compared to the ensemble empirical mode decomposition denoising method and unsaturated stochastic resonance using the kurtosis-intercorrelation index.  相似文献

Herein, a bidirectional polarization strategy is proposed for hosting efficient and durable lithium-sulfur battery (Li-S) electrochemistry. By co-doping electronegative N and electropositive B in graphene matrix (BNrGO), the bidirectional electron redistribution enables a higher polysulfide affinity over its mono-doped counterparts, contributing to strong sulfur immobilization and fast conversion kinetics. As a result, BNrGO as the cathode host matrix realizes excellent cycling stability over 1000 cycles with a minimum capacity fading of 0.027% per cycle, and superb rate capability up to 10 C. Meanwhile, decent areal capacity (6.46 mAh/cm2) and cyclability (300 cycles) are also achievable under high sulfur loading and limited electrolyte. This work provides instructive insights into the interaction between doping engineering and sulfur electrochemistry for pursuing superior Li-S batteries.  相似文献

Accumulating evidence in recent years indicates that DNA methylation (5-methyl-2′-deoxycytidine, 5-mdC) and hydroxymethylation (5-hydroxymethyl-2′-deoxycytidine, 5-hmdC) have been implicated in various biological processes, and the aberrations of these DNA cytosine modifications is tightly associated with cancer. N6-methyl-2′-deoxyadenosine (m6dA), as a newly discovered epigenetic modification in genome of mammals, has been demonstrated to play vital regulatory roles in tumorigenesis. However, the content information of m6dA in human tumor tissues is still limited and pan-cancer analysis of these DNA epigenetic modifications is lacked. Herein, we developed a sensitive and robust stable isotope-diluted hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HILIC-MS/MS) method for accurate quantification of m6dA, 5-mdC and 5-hmdC in genomic DNA from 82 pairs of human tumor tissues and matched tumor-adjacent normal tissues. The types of tumors included esophagus cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, stromal tumor and colorectal cancer. Compared to the normal tissues, we revealed the level of m6dA was increased in tumor tissues of esophagus cancer, lung cancer and liver cancer, whereas the level of m6dA was diminished in tumor tissues of pancreatic cancer and gastric cancer; while the contents of 5-mdC and 5-hmdC exhibited significant decrease in tumor tissues of most types of cancer. It is worth noting that we revealed, for the first time, the content of genomic m6dA in pancreatic cancer, stromal tumor and colorectal cancer. The significant changes of these DNA epigenetic modifications indicate they may serve as indicators of cancers. In addition, this study will benefit for better understanding of the regulatory roles of these DNA epigenetic modifications in cancers.  相似文献

Selective and sensitive detection of trace microRNA is important for early diagnosis of diseases due to its expression level related to diseases. Herein, a triple signal amplification strategy is developed for trace microRNA-21 (miRNA-21) detection by combining with target-triggered cyclic strand displacement reaction (TCSDR), hybridization chain reaction (HCR) and enzyme catalytic amplification. Four DNA hairpins (H1, H2, H3, H4) are employed to form an ultralong double-strand DNA (dsDNA) structure, which is initiated by target miRNA-21. As H3 and H4 are labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP), numerous HRPs are loaded on the long dsDNA, producing significantly enhanced electrocatalytic signals in the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) reaction strategy. Compared with single signal amplification, the triple signal amplification strategy shows higher electrochemical response, wider dynamic range and lower detection limit for miRNA-21 detection with excellent selectivity, reproducibility and stability. Taking advantage of the triple signal amplification strategy, the proposed electrochemical biosensor can detect miRNA-21 in 10 HeLa cell lysates, suggesting that it is a promising method for fruitful assay in clinical diagnosis.  相似文献

Shortcut nitrification-denitrification (SCND) is widely concerned because of its low energy consumption and high nitrogen removal efficiency. However, the current difficulty lies in the stable maintenance of SCND performance, which leads to the challenge of large-scale application of this new denitrification technology. In this study, the nitrogen removal pathway from complete nitrification-denitrification (CND) to SCND was rapidly realized under high free ammonia (FA), high pH and low dissolved oxygen (DO) conditions. The variations of specific oxygen uptake rate (SOUR) of activated sludge in both processes were investigated by an online SOUR monitoring device. Different curves of SOUR from CND to SCND process were observed, and the ammonia peak obtained based on SOUR monitoring could be used to control aeration time accurately in SCND process. Accordingly, the SOUR ratio of ammonia oxidizing bacteria (AOB) to nitrite oxidizing bacteria (NOB) (SOURAOB/SOURNOB) was increased from 1.40 to 2.93. 16S rRNA Miseq high throughput sequencing revealed the dynamics of AOB and NOB, and the ratio of relative abundance (AOB/NOB) was increased from 1.03 to 3.12. Besides, SOURAOB/SOURNOB displayed significant correlations to ammonia removal rate (P<0.05), ammonia oxidation rate / nitrite oxidation rate (P < 0.05), nitrite accumulation rate (P < 0.05) and the relative abundance of AOB/NOB (P < 0.05). Thus, a strategy for evaluation the SCND process stability based on online SOUR monitoring is proposed, which provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the SCND performance.  相似文献
