We consider the plane-strain buckling of a cylindrical shellof arbitrary thickness which is made of a Varga material andis subjected to an external hydrostatic pressure on its outersurface. The WKB method is used to solve the eigenvalue problemthat results from the linear bifurcation analysis. We show thatthe circular cross-section buckles into a non-circular shapeat a value of µ1 which depends on A1/A2 and a mode number,where A1 and A2 are the undeformed inner and outer radii, andµ1 is the ratio of the deformed inner radius to A1. Inthe large mode number limit, we find that the dependence ofµ1 on A1/A2 has a boundary layer structure: it is constantover almost the entire region of 0 < A1/A2 < 1 and decreasessharply from this constant value to unity as A1/A2 tends tounity. Our asymptotic results for A1 – 1 = O(1) and A1– 1 = O(1/n) are shown to agree with the numerical resultsobtained by using the compound matrix method.  相似文献

In this note we first define the notions of (weak, strong) implicative hyper K-algebras. Then we show by examples that these notions are different. After that we state and prove some theorems which determine the relationship between these notions and (weak) hyper K-ideals. Also we obtain some relations between these notions and (weak) implicative hyper K-ideals. Finally, we study the implicative hyper K-algebras of order 3, in particular we obtain a relationship between the positive implicative hyper K-algebras and (weak, strong) implicative hyper K-algebras under a simple condition.  相似文献

We consider monoids $S=G\dot \cup I$ where G is a group and I is an ideal of S and show that if an S-act is principally weakly flat, (weakly) flat, torsion free or satisfies conditions (P) or (PE) as an I1-act, then it has these properties as an S-act. We also show that an S-act which is free, projective or strongly flat as an I1-act may not generally have these properties as an S-act.  相似文献

In this paper, we considered the problem of finding the upper bound Hausdorff matrix operator from sequence spaces lp(v) (ord(v, p)) intol p (w) (ord(w, p)). Also we considered the upper bound problem for matrix operators fromd(v, 1) intod(w, 1), and matrix operators frome(w, ∞) intoe(v, ∞), and deduce upper bound for Cesaro, Copson and Hilbert matrix operators, which are recently considered in [5] and [6] and similar to that in [10].  相似文献

Let X denote a specific space of the class of X α,p Banach sequence spaces which were constructed by Hagler and the first named author as classes of hereditarily ℓp Banach spaces. We show that for p > 1 the Banach space X contains asymptotically isometric copies of ℓp. It is known that any member of the class is a dual space. We show that the predual of X contains isometric copies of ℓp where 1/p + 1/q = 1. For p = 1 it is known that the predual of the Banach space X contains asymptotically isometric copies of c 0. Here we give a direct proof of the known result that X contains asymptotically isometric copies of ℓ1.  相似文献

We consider monoids $S=G\;\dot{\cup}\; I$ where $G$ is a group and $I$ is an ideal of $S$ and show that if an $S$-act is principally weakly homoflat or weakly homoflat as an $I^1$-act, then it has these properties as an $S$-act. We also show that an $S$-act which is (weakly) pullback flat, equalizer flat, (principally) weakly kernel flat, translation kernel flat or satisfies Condition $(E)$ as an $I^1$-act may not generally have these properties as an $S$-act. The flatness notions considered in this paper were introduced in {\it V. Laan, Pullbacks and flatness properties of acts I, Comm. Alg. ${\bf 29}(2)$ (2001), 829--850}.  相似文献

Let v and be two varieties of groups defined by the sets of laws V and W, respectively. In this paper we construct a -v-covering group of a finite v-perfect group G, and show that every automorphism of G may be lifted to its -v-covering group. These generalize the previous work of the first two authors (1999).
