Projectors associated with a particular estimator in a general linear model play an important role in characterizing statistical properties of the estimator. A variety of new properties were derived on projectors associated with the weighted least-squares estimator (WLSE). These properties include maximal and minimal possible ranks, rank invariance, uniqueness, idempotency, and other equalities involving the projectors. Applications of these properties were also suggested. Proofs of the main theorems demonstrate how to use the matrix rank method for deriving various equalities involving the projectors under the general linear model. 相似文献

In this paper,we study two-dimensional Riemann boundary value problems of Euler system for the isentropic and irrotational Chaplygin gas with initial data being two constant states given in two sectors respectively,where one sector is a quadrant and the other one has an acute vertex angle.We prove that the Riemann boundary value problem admits a global self-similar solution,if either the initial states are close,or the smaller sector is also near a quadrant.Our result can be applied to solving the problem of shock reflection by a ramp. 相似文献

We study a coupled nonlinear evolution system arising from the Ginzburg-Landau theory for atomic Fermi gases near the BCS (Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer)-BEC (Bose-Einstein condensation) crossover.First,we prove that the initial boundary value problem generates a strongly continuous semigroup on a suitable phase-space which possesses a global attractor.Then we establish the existence of an exponential attractor.As a consequence,we show that the global attractor is of finite fractal dimension. 相似文献

We use planar coordinates as well as hyperbolic coordinates to separate the de Sitter spacetime into two parts. These two ways of cutting the de Sitter give rise to two different spatial infinities. For spacetimes which are asymptotic to either half of the de Sitter spacetime, we are able to provide definitions of the total energy, the total linear momentum, the total angular momentum, respectively. And we prove two positive mass theorems, corresponding to these two sorts of spatial infinities, for spacelike hypersurfaces whose mean curvatures are bounded by certain constant from above. 相似文献

We report characterization of ZnO thin-film transistors (TFTs) on glass substrates fabricated by pulsed laser deposition (PLD).
ZnO films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy and Hall effect measurements. The XRD results
showed high c-axis-oriented ZnO(0002) diffraction corresponding to the wurtzite phase. Moreover, the crystallization and the electrical
properties of ZnO thin films grown at room temperature are controllable by PLD growth conditions such as oxygen gas pressure.
The ZnO films are very smooth, with a root-mean-square roughness of 1 nm. From the Hall effect measurements, we have succeeded
in fabricating ZnO films on glass substrates with an electron mobility of 21.7 cm2/V s. By using the ZnO thin film grown by two-step PLD and a HfO2 high-k gate insulator, a transconductance of 24.1 mS/mm, a drain current on/off ratio of 4.4×106 and a subthreshold gate swing of 0.26 V/decade were obtained for the ZnO TFT. 相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of global classical solutions to hydrodynamical systems modeling the nematic liquid crystal flows under kinematic transports for molecules of different shapes. The coupling system consists of Navier–Stokes equations and kinematic transport equations for the molecular orientations. We prove the convergence of global solutions to single steady states as time tends to infinity as well as estimates on the convergence rate both in 2D for arbitrary regular initial data and in 3D for certain particular cases. 相似文献
