Atopic dermatitis is characterized by leukocyte migration into the skin dermis and typically driven by excessive chemokine production at the site of inflammation. Conventional topical formulations such as gels, creams, and ointments are insufficient for this treatment because of low penetration of drug molecules into the targeted skin tissues. Herein, using a simple, green, sustainable strategy, we have developed novel primary zein nanoparticles embedded in curcumin (Cur) and coated with silk sericin (ZHSCs) for the topical delivery of Cur to penetrate into the dermis and exercise anti-dermatitis effects on the lesion with minimal side-effects. Transdermal delivery experiments and porcine skin fluorescence imaging indicated that ZHSCs facilitate the penetration of Cur across the epidermis layer of skin to reach deep-seated sites. Notably, ZHSCs = 1:0.25 (zein-to-silk sericin mass ratios of 1:0.25) markedly elevated the skin permeability and cumulative turnover of Cur transferred, which were provided a greater than a 3.8-fold increase relative to free Cur. The special nanoparticles of ZHS = 1:0.25 possessed the deepest localization depth and experience a transition of the particle structure and core-shell separation after penetrating into the dermis of skin. In a cell model of dermatitis induced by tumor necrosis factor α/interferon γ co-stimulation, compared with free Cur, Cur-loaded ZHS nanoparticles down-regulated the generation of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines in keratinocytes through suppression of the nuclear translocation of NF-κBp65 and hence exerted an anti-dermatitis effect. This strategy may provide new avenues and direction for the demanding issues of valid topical delivery systems.  相似文献

This article presents analytical solutions of the general rate model (GRM), the lumped kinetic model (LKM), and the simpler equilibrium dispersive model (EDM) for core-shell particles and linear adsorption isotherms. The solutions in the Laplace domain are applied to derive analytical expressions for the temporal moments of these models. The results provide relations between the model specific kinetic parameters by matching one or more of the temporal moments. Several case studies are considered for illustration. The results show that simpler models are in many cases as good as the most detailed GRM if their kinetic parameters fulfill the matching relations. Thus, it is possible to reliably predict elution profiles using the simpler models. The derived analytical expressions can also be utilized to efficiently estimate model parameters from experimentally observed elution profiles to further optimize core-shell particles and to identify suitable column sizes and operating conditions.  相似文献

Monodisperse dye-containing crosslinked particles are promising for application in novel optical chemical sensors due to their intrinsic sensitivity. However, preparation of these particles in aqueous media still remains a challenge, since luminophores inhibit radical processes or else cannot embed into polymer chains because of difference in monomer reactivity ratios. In this work, novel dye-containing monodisperse crosslinked particles were prepared and characterized. In order to obtain dye-containing monodisperse crosslinked particles, we studied seed copolymerization of styrene in the presence of divinylbenzene. The influence of nature and concentration of the used comonomers and co-solvents on shape, size distributions and surface characteristics of the particles formed was investigated. Shapes and diameters of the particles were analyzed by DLS, TEM and SEM. The data of SEM and optical spectroscopy studies demonstrated that the synthesized particles were able to self-assemble into thin-film three-dimensional ordered structures. Finally, the structures under study are promising for development of sensor devices with optical response to acetone.  相似文献

Magnetic digital microfluidics uses magnetic force to manipulate droplets on a Teflon‐coated substrate through the added magnetic particles. To achieve a wide range of droplet manipulation, hydrophilic patterns, known as surface energy traps, are introduced onto the Teflon‐coated hydrophobic substrate. However, the Teflon‐coated substrate is difficult to modify because it is nonwettable, and existing techniques for patterning surface energy traps have many limitations. Inspired by the mussel adhesion mechanism, we use polydopamine, a bioinspired substance that adheres strongly to almost any materials, to pattern surface energy traps on the Teflon‐coated substrate with a great ease. We have optimized the polydopamine coating protocol and characterized the surface properties of the polydopamine surface energy traps. Droplet operations including particle extraction, liquid dispensing, liquid shaping, and cross‐platform transfer have been demonstrated on the polydopamine surface energy trap‐enabled magnetic digital microfluidic platform in both single‐plate and two‐plate configurations. Furthermore, the detection of hepatitis B surface antigen using ELISA has been demonstrated on the new magnetic dgitial microfluidic platform. This new bioinspired magnetic digital microfluidic platform is easy to fabricate and operate, showing a great potential for point‐of‐care applications.  相似文献

利用外加声场促进悬浮在气相中的细颗粒发生相互作用,进而引起颗粒的碰撞和凝并,使得颗粒平均粒径增大、数目浓度降低,是控制细颗粒排放的重要技术途径.为探究驻波声场中单分散细颗粒的相互作用,建立包含曳力、重力、声尾流效应的颗粒相互作用模型,采用四阶经典龙格-库塔算法和二阶隐式亚当斯插值算法对模型进行求解.将数值模拟得到的颗粒声波夹带速度和相互作用过程与相应的解析解和实验结果进行对比,验证模型的准确性.进而研究颗粒初始条件和直径对相互作用特性的影响.结果表明,初始时刻颗粒中心连线越接近声波波动方向、颗粒位置越接近波腹点,颗粒间的声尾流效应就越强,颗粒发生碰撞所需要的时间就越短.研究还发现,颗粒直径对颗粒相互作用的影响取决于初始时刻颗粒中心连线偏离声波波动方向的程度.当偏离较小时,颗粒直径越大,颗粒发生碰撞所需要的时间越短;当偏离很大时,直径较小的颗粒能够发生碰撞,而直径较大的颗粒则无法发生碰撞.  相似文献

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, most countries have recommended their citizens to adopt social distance, hand hygiene, and face mask wearing. However, wearing face masks has not been well adopted by many citizens. While the reasons are complex, there is a general perception that the evidence to support face mask wearing is lacking, especially for the general public in a community setting. Face mask wearing can block or filter airborne virus-carrying particles through the working of colloid and interface science. This paper assesses current knowledge behind the design and functioning of face masks by reviewing the selection of materials, mask specifications, relevant laboratory tests, and respiratory virus transmission trials, with an overview of future development of reusable masks for the general public. This review highlights the effectiveness of face mask wearing in the prevention of COVID-19 infection.  相似文献

Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) has been mixed with fluorite (CaF2) particles to obtain micro- and nano-composites aiming to obtain a hybrid multifilament. In first term, the use of two montanic waxes and an amide wax as dispersing agents towards the compatibilization of the inorganic and organic components of the CaF2/PET composite were considered. To do this, non-isothermal crystallization studies by differential scanning calorimetry have been carried out. Moreover, the influence of the CaF2 particle size and concentration on the thermal properties of the system have been also studied by this technique. Finally, the extrapolation of the results has materialised as a novel PET/CaF2 hybrid multifilament. Thermal and mechanical properties and molecular weight of the multifilament have been as well evaluated.  相似文献

A novel, green and effective approach to fabricate uniform functional spherical polymer particles remains a huge challenge. Herein, we present a novel one-pot approach superior to traditional precipitation polymerization, called precipitated droplets in-situ cross-linking (PDIC) polymerization, by which uniform particles are fabricated on large scale without any toxic organic solvents or stabilizers. With this approach, functional spherical polymer particles can be fabricated continuously only relying on gravity, and the preparation process is thus super-fast. For example, polyacrylic acid (PAA) hydrogel particles with ultra-high adsorption capacity are fabricated within only 60 s. Moreover, we have successfully fabricated different functional hydrogel particles, including anticoagulant, reinforced and bactericidal particles, based on the monomers of 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS), acrylamide (AM) and [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride (DMC), respectively. This approach has several advantages: (i) the technology is green; (ii) the size and porosity of the particles can be well-controlled; (iii) various functional spherical hydrogel particles can be fabricated by using corresponding monomers. More importantly, this approach fits the commercialization of functional hydrogel particles on demand.  相似文献

In this work, thiocarbohydrazide doped iron nanoparticles as a novel, green, heterogeneous, and inexpensive catalyst is reported. This catalyzed the three components reaction of dialkylacetylenedicarboxylate with aromatic aldehydes and aromatic amines to yield the corresponding furan derivatives EtOH. An indispensable part of green chemistry is to be able to recover and reuse catalysts without any notable drop in catalytic activity. The analysis of catalyst and application of that for the synthesis of title compounds in high yields reveal this property. The formation, size of the metal ions present in the material is confirmed by powdered X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).  相似文献

对外加电场作用下无穷大电解质溶液中二维Janus 导电颗粒的受力特性进行研究。在量级分析的基础上,对电解质溶液电渗流动的基本方程组进行解耦,通过引入有限域确保解的存在性,进而得到圆形颗粒周围电场和流场的解析解与半解析解。基于半解析解给出颗粒所受力矩与外加电场方向角之间的变化曲线,从而得到二维Janus 圆形颗粒的平衡姿态及其稳定性特性。在此基础上,通过数值方法给出了电解质溶液中二维Janus 胶囊的受力特性,平衡姿态及其稳定性特性。  相似文献
