自20世纪70年代开始,随着计算复杂性理论的建立,近似算法逐渐成为组合优化的重要研究方向。作为第一批研究对象,装箱问题引起了组合优化领域学者的极大关注。装箱问题模型简单、拓展性强,广泛出现在各种带容量约束的资源分配问题中。除了在物流装载和材料切割等方面愈来愈重要的应用外,装箱算法的任何理论突破都关乎到整个组合优化领域的发展。直到今天,对装箱问题近似算法的研究仍如火如荼。本文主要针对一维模型,简述若干经典Fit算法的发展历程,分析基于线性规划松弛的近似方案的主要思路,总结当前的研究现状并对未来的研究提供一些参考建议。  相似文献

This paper studies two polytopes: the complete set packing and set partitioning polytopes, which are both associated with a binary n-row matrix having all possible columns. Cuts of rank 1 for the latter polytope play a central role in recent exact algorithms for many combinatorial problems, such as vehicle routing. We show the precise relation between the two polytopes studied, characterize the multipliers that induce rank 1 clique facets and give several families of multipliers that yield other facets.  相似文献

We find explicit formulas for the radii and locations of the circles in all the optimally dense packings of two, three or four equal circles on any flat torus, defined to be the quotient of the Euclidean plane by the lattice generated by two independent vectors. The nonmetal-to-metal transition in dense fluid helium is discussed, which has been, in analogy to metallization of hydrogen, predicted as first-order plasma phase transition using chemical models for the equation of state and plasma composition. However, recent ab initio simulations performed for dense fluid helium indicate that this transition is continuous in the considered regime, without a density jump and latent heat as characteristic of a first-order phase transition. Implications for some astrophysical plasmas are discussed.  相似文献

In the contact interaction model,the quark propagator has only one solution,namely,the chiral symmetry breaking solution,at vanishing temperature and density in the case of physical quark mass.We generalize the condensate feedback onto the coupling strength from the 2 flavor case to the 2+1 flavor case,and find the Wigner solution appears in some regions,which enables us to tackle chiral phase transition as two-phase coexistences.At finite chemical potential,we analyze the chiral phase transition in the conditions of electric charge neutrality andβequilibrium.The four chemical potentials,μuds and He,are constrained by three conditions,so that one inde-pendent variable remains:we choose the average quark chemical potential as the free variable.All quark masses and number densities suffer discontinuities at the phase transition point.The strange quarks appear after the phase trans-ition since the system needg more energy to produce a d.-quark than an s-quark.Taking the EOS as an input,the TOV equations are solved numerically,and we show that the mass--radius relation is sensitive to the EOS.The max-imum mass of strange quark stars is not susceptible to the parameter Aq we introduced.  相似文献

A hybrid method is presented for determining maximal eigenvalue and its eigenvector(called eigenpair)of a large,dense,symmetric matrix.Many problems require finding only a small part of the eigenpairs,and some require only the maximal one.In a series of papers,efficient algorithms have been developed by Mufa Chen for computing the maximal eigenpairs of tridiagonal matrices with positive off-diagonal elements.The key idea is to explicitly construet effective initial guess of the maximal eigenpair and then to employ a self-closed iterative algorithm.In this paper we will extend Mufa Chen's algorithm to find maximal eigenpair for a large scale,dense,symmetric matrix.Our strategy is to first convert the underlying matrix into the tridiagonal form by using similarity transformations.We then handle the cases that prevent us from applying Chen's algorithm directly,e.g.,the cases with zero or negative super-or sub-diagonal elements.Serval numerical experiments are carried out to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed hybrid method.  相似文献

We report interesting self-assembly behavior of a polyglyceryl-modified silicone surfactant in the aqueous solution; the sample has been characterized through measurements of surface tension, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS). Aqueous solutions of this surfactant had a low critical aggregation concentration (CAC) and surface tension (21.5 mN · m?1), substantially lower than those reported for polyether-modified silicone surfactants with a similar molecular architecture. DLS and TEM revealed self-assembled spherical micelles with a narrow size distribution. At higher concentrations (10 wt%), linear packing of micelles was observed, while the micelle size distribution remained similar (50–90 nm). SAXS data could be fitted through the use of a core–shell model and implied that the core radius remained roughly 4.3–6.0 nm for all solutions of the surfactant analyzed. The origin of its curious aggregates behavior is attributed to hydrogen bonding, steric effects, and the directionality of bond angle from the polyglyceryl block of this novel class of silicone surfactant. This type of surfactant coupling lipophilic segments assembles the cores of the micelles in water which may find positive factors for potential applications such as microreaction compartmentalization.  相似文献
