微流控纸芯片的加工及其分析应用的实验设计*

设计了一个使用喷墨打印法加工微流控纸芯片的实验,在经烷基烯酮二聚体(AKD)的正己烷溶液浸泡过的滤纸上,以三乙醇胺溶液为打印墨水,用喷墨打印机打印出设计好的芯片图案。滤纸加热后,打印区域呈现亲水性,非打印区域为疏水性,从而制备出纸芯片,用该纸芯片通过数字比色法实现了亚硝酸根离子的定量测定。该实验不使用昂贵仪器设备,易普及。通过实验,促使学生了解微流控芯片这一前沿科学技术,锻炼学生细致、灵巧的动手能力,激发学生科技创新活力。     

Pure tetrahedral quadruple systems with index two

An oriented tetrahedron defined on four vertices is a set of four cyclic triples with the property that any ordered pair of vertices is contained in exactly one of the cyclic triples. A tetrahedral quadruple system of order $n$ with index $\lambda$, denoted by ${\text{TQS}}_{\lambda }\left(n\right)$, is a pair $\left(X,\mathrm{?}\right)$, where $X$ is an $n$‐set and $\mathrm{?}$ is a set of oriented tetrahedra (blocks) such that every cyclic triple on $X$ is contained in exactly $\lambda$ members of $\mathrm{?}$. A ${\text{TQS}}_{\lambda }\left(n\right)$ is pure if there do not exist two blocks with the same vertex set. When $\lambda =1$, the spectrum of a pure TQS $\left(n\right)$ has been completely determined by Ji. In this paper, we show that there exists a pure ${\text{TQS}}_2\left(n\right)$ if and only if $n\equiv 1,2\left(\mathrm{mod}3\right)$ and $n\ge 7$. A corollary is that a simple ${\text{QS}}_4\left(n\right)$ also exists if and only if $n\equiv 1,2\left(\mathrm{mod}3\right)$ and $n\ge 7$.     

Classical solution for a nonlinear hybrid system modeling combustion in a multilayer porous medium

Combustion processes in porous media have been used by the petroleum engineering industry to extract heavy oil from reservoirs. This study focuses on a one-dimensional nonlinear hybrid system consisting of $n$ reaction–diffusion–convection equations coupled with $n$ ordinary differential equations, which models a combustion front moving through a porous medium with $n$ parallel layers. The state variables are the temperature and fuel concentration in each layer. Coupling occurs in both the reaction function and differential operator coefficients. We prove the existence of a classical solution, first locally and then globally over time, to an initial and boundary value problem for the corresponding system. The proof uses a new approach for combustion problems in porous media. The local solution is obtained by defining an operator in a set of Hölder continuous functions and using Schauder’s fixed-point theorem to find a fixed point as the desired solution. Using Zorn’s lemma, we extend the local solution to a global solution, proving that the first-order spatial derivative of the temperature in each layer is a bounded function.     

Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz for analytic trigonometric polynomials

This paper proves such a new Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz for analytic trigonometric polynomials that if ${\left\{f_j\right\}}_{j=1}^{n\ge 2}$ are analytic trigonometric polynomials without common zero in the finite complex plane $?$ then there are analytic trigonometric polynomials ${\left\{g_j\right\}}_{j=1}^{n\ge 2}$ obeying ${\sum }_{j=1}^{n\ge 2}{f}_j{g}_j=1$ in $?$, thereby not only strengthening Helmer’s Principal Ideal Theorem for entire functions, but also finding an intrinsic path from Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz for analytic polynomials to Pythagoras’ Identity on $?$.     

The Green polynomials via vertex operators

An iterative formula for the Green polynomial is given using the vertex operator realization of the Hall-Littlewood function. Based on this, (1) a general combinatorial formula of the Green polynomial is given; (2) several compact formulas are given for Green's polynomials associated with upper partitions of length ≤3 and the diagonal lengths ≤3; (3) a Murnaghan-Nakayama type formula for the Green polynomial is obtained; and (4) an iterative formula is derived for the bitrace of the finite general linear group G and the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of type A on the permutation module of G by its Borel subgroup.     

Subset representations and eigenvalues of the universal intertwining matrix

We solve a combinatorial question concerning eigenvalues of the universal intertwining endomorphism of a subset representation.     

A new idea to construct the fractal interpolation function

The aim of this paper is to present a new idea to construct the nonlinear fractal interpolation function, in which we exploit the Matkowski and the Rakotch fixed point theorems. Our technique is different from the methods presented in the previous literatures.
