ABSTRACTIn this contribution, a dye (C8-alkyl substituted Naphthalimide-Coumarin, CNC) with naphthalimide and coumarin incorporated together with -NHN = bridge unit. The compound was fully characterized by NMR and HRMS spectroscopic techniques. Highly emissive character was investigated in detail in various polar environments. The emission maximum varied from 430 to 470 nm. In polycarbonate film, CNC is also highly emissive with 560 nm emission peak. While in sold, the emission maximum was further shifted to 580 nm due to the more tightly packing mode than that in film. The C8-alkyl substitution enhances the solubility of CNC and also contributes most to its solid emission. 相似文献

Two small molecules named PI‐DPP and NI‐DPP with a DPP core as the central strong acceptor unit and phthalimide/naphthalimide as the terminal weak acceptor were designed and synthesized. The effects of terminal phthalimide/naphthalimide units on the thermal behavior, optical and electrochemical properties, as well as the photovoltaic performance of these two materials were systematically studied. Cyclic voltammetry revealed that the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals (LUMO) (~ ‐3.6 eV) of both molecules were intermediate to common electron donor (P3HT) and acceptor (PCBM). This indicated that PI‐DPP and NI‐DPP may uniquely serve as electron donor when blended with PCBM, and as electron acceptor when blended with P3HT, where sufficient driving forces between DPPs and PCBM, as well as between P3HT and DPPs should be created for exciton dissociation. Using as electron donor materials, PI‐DPP and NI‐DPP devices exhibited low power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 0.90% and 0.76% by blending with PCBM, respectively. And a preliminary evaluation of the potential of the NI‐DPP as electron acceptor material was carried out using P3HT as a donor material, and P3HT: NI‐DPP device showed a PCE of 0.6%, with an open circuit voltage (V OC) of 0.7 V, a short circuit current density (J SC) of 1.91 mA•cm‐2, and a fill factor (FF) of 45%. 相似文献

Naphthalimide‐phthalimide derivatives (NDPDs) have been synthesized and combined with an iodonium salt, N‐vinylcarbazole, amine or 2,4,6‐tris(trichloromethyl)‐1,3,5‐triazine to produce reactive species (i.e., radicals and cations). These generated reactive species are capable of initiating the cationic polymerization of epoxides and/or the radical polymerization of acrylates upon exposure to very soft polychromatic visible lights or blue lights. Compared with the well‐known camphorquinone based systems used as references, the novel NDPD based combinations employed here demonstrate clearly higher efficiencies for the cationic polymerization of epoxides under air as well as the radical polymerization of acrylates. Remarkably, one of the NDPDs (i.e., NDPD2) based systems is characterized by an outstanding reactivity. The structure/reactivity/efficiency relationships of the investigated NDPDs were studied by fluorescence, cyclic voltammetry, laser flash photolysis, electron spin resonance spin trapping, and steady state photolysis techniques. Phosgene has attracted wide attention because of its important applications and value in modern industry, agriculture, and other fields, though it easily leaks and is difficult to detect. In this work, we designed and synthesized a naphthalimide-based fluorescent probe, which is easy to prepare, stable, and able to discriminate between phosgene, acetyl chloride, oxalyl chloride, thionyl chloride, phosphorus oxychloride, and tosyl chloride. Our results indicate that the probe can react with phosgene selectively and sensitively, showing remarkable ratiometric fluorescence changes. Furthermore, the probe can be made into test strips, which can determine phosgene in air effectively. The present work provides a novel class of naphthalimide-based derivatives with potential application in phosgene sensing in real time simply and safely with further optimization. 相似文献

A novel asymmetrical diarylethene with a (formyloxyethoxy)ethyl‐linked naphthalimide unit was synthesized, and its photochromic and fluorescence properties were systematically investigated in both solution and a poly(metyl methacrylate) film. The diarylethene showed significant photochromism and notable fluorescence switching properties upon irradiation with ultraviolet/visible light. Compared with the parent diarylethene, introduction of the naphthalimide moiety was effective to increase the molar absorption coefficient, the fluorescence quantum yield, and fluorescent modulation efficiency of the diarylethene. Novel polyphenylacetylene ( P1 ) containing naphthalimides units in the side chain was designed and synthesized. The structure and properties of the polymer were characterized and evaluated by IR, NMR, UV, and PL. The measurements of sensing behavior to various halide anions, that is, F?, Cl?, Br?, and I?, reveal that the polymer is a ratiometric fluorescent chemosensors for fluoride ion. The polymer sensor shows spectral shifts and intensity changes in the presence of fluoride, in a wavelength‐ratiometric and ‐colorimetric manner, which can detect fluoride concentrations in range of 10–100 μM at visible wavelengths. The obvious colorless‐to‐yellow color change and blue‐to‐orange emission color change on the addition of fluoride ion are easily observed by naked eyes. The synthesis and basic photophysical characteristics of a novel green fluorescent polyvinylcarbazole polymer containing 4‐N,N‐dimethylaminoethyleneamino‐1,8‐naphthalimide side chains has been described. The ability to sense metal cations has been monitored by fluorescence emission spectroscopy. It is shown that the fluorescent intensity is very sensitive to the Fe2+ cations and the copolymer can be used as an homogeneous and heterogeneous fluorescent sensor for Fe2+ cations.
