We report the results of our investigation of magnetization and heat capacity on a series of compounds Ce1?xYxNiGe2 (x=0.1,0.2 and 0.4) under the influence of external magnetic field. Our studies of the thermodynamic quantity ?dM/dT on these compounds indicate that magnetic frustration persists in Ce0.9Y0.1NiGe2, as also reported for the parent compound CeNiGe2. The weak signature of this frustration is also noted in Ce0.8Y0.2NiGe2, whereas, it is suppressed in Ce0.6Y0.4NiGe2. Heat capacity studies on Ce0.9Y0.1NiGe2 and Ce0.8Y0.2NiGe2 indicate the presence of a new magnetic anomaly at high field which indicates that quantum criticality is absent in these compounds. However, for Ce0.6Y0.4NiGe2 such an anomaly is not noted. For this later compound, the magnetic field (H) and temperature (T) dependence of heat capacity and magnetization obey H/T scaling above critical fields. However, the obtained scaling critical parameter (δ) is 1.6, which is away from mean field value of 3. This deviation suggests the presence of unusual fluctuations and anomalous quantum criticality in these compounds. This unusual fluctuation may arise from disorderness induced by Y-substitution.  相似文献

Rufinamide is used presently to treat Lenaux–Gastaut syndrome. A full factorial design and desirability approach was investigated for the optimization of hydrolytic stress via response surface curves (RSCs). The degradation impurities were identified and resolved using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) on the Qualisil® BDS C8 column. Acetonitrile–water (29:71, v/v) was optimized for the mobile phase and used at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min with detection at a wavelength of 230 nm. Rufinamide showed appreciable susceptibility to hydrolysis under acidic and alkaline stress, and substantial degradation in the neutral condition. It degraded much less under oxidative stress. Exposure towards thermal and photolytic stress conditions indicated appreciable stability. The developed method was subjected to validation as per the recommendations of the International Conference on Harmonization. The proposed method showed no influence from the excipients and the degradation products. As well as good precision and accuracy in determination, the method showed a linear response between 2 and 12 μg ml−1. The method was extended for determination in a human plasma sample, which resulted in excellent recovery without interference from matrix effects. The combined use of desirability and design for the optimization of acidic and alkaline hydrolytic stress led to simple and rapid analysis.  相似文献

We theoretically study complementarity between micro-micro and micro-macro entanglement in a Bose–Einstein condensate with two Rydberg impurities. We investigate quantum dynamics of micro-micro and micro-macro entanglement in the micro-macro system. It is found that strong micro-macro entanglement between Rydberg impurities and the BEC can be generated by the use of initial micro-micro entanglement between two Rydberg impurities, which acts as the seed entanglement to create micro-macro entanglement. We demonstrate a curious complementarity relation between micro-micro and micro-macro entanglement, and find that the complementarity property can be sustained to some extent even though in the presence of the BEC decoherence.  相似文献

Si nanoparticles (NPs), which are innovative promising light-harvesting components of thin-film solar cells and key-enabling biocompatible theranostic elements of infrared-laser and radiofrequency hyperthermia-based therapies of cancer cells in tumors and metastases, are significantly advanced in their near/mid-infrared band-to-band and free-carrier absorption via donor sulfur-hyperdoping during high-throughput facile femtosecond-laser ablative production in liquid carbon disulfide. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy and Raman microscopy reveal their mixed nanocrystalline/amorphous structure, enabling the extraordinary sulfur content of a few atomic percents and very minor surface oxidation/carbonization characterized by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. A 200-nm thick layer of the nanoparticles exhibits near−mid-infrared absorbance, comparable to that of the initial 380-micron thick n-doped Si wafer (phosphor-dopant concentration ≈1015 cm−3), with the corresponding extinction coefficient for the hyperdoped NPs being 4–7 orders higher over the broadband spectral range of 1–25 micrometers. Such ultimate, but potentially tunable mid-IR structured, multi-band absorption of various sulfur-impurity clusters and smooth free-carrier absorption are break through advances in mid-infrared (mid-IR) laser and radiofrequency (RF) hyperthermia-based therapies, as envisioned in the RF-heating tests, and in fabrication of higher-efficiency thin-film and bulk photovoltaic devices with ultra-broad (UV−mid-IR) spectral response.  相似文献

A quality by design (QbD) based high-resolution HPLC method is described for determination of impurities in apixaban (APX) in the tablet dosage form. Employing a simple and stability-indicating HPLC method, nine known impurities were quantified with good peak resolution. Mobile phase A (MP-A) was prepared with buffer and acetonitrile 90:10 v/v, while mobile phase B (MP-B) contained water and acetonitrile 10:90 v/v. The gradient program was 0 min, MP-A 75%, B 25%; 20 min, MP-A 65%, B 35%; 30 min, MP-A 40%, B 60%; 40min, MP-A 40%, B 60%; 42 min, MP-A 75%, B 25%; and 50 min, MP-A 75%, B 25%. The chromatographic separation was achieved using a Zorbax RX C18 250 × 4.6 mm column, 5 μm (1.0 ml min−1, 280 nm, 50 μl) and a column temperature of 40°C. Several separation studies were carried out using design of experiments to optimize the method. Validation results confirm the applicability of the developed method for quality analysis and stability studies of the regular product on the manufacturing stream.  相似文献

In this study, a stability‐indicating reversed‐phase liquid chromatographic electrospray mass spectrometric method was developed and validated for the determination of process‐related impurities and forced degradants of Efavirenz in bulk drugs. Efavirenz was subjected to acid, alkaline hydrolysis, H2O2 oxidation, photolysis, and thermal stress. Significant degradation was observed during alkaline hydrolysis, and the degradants were isolated on a mass‐based purification system and characterized by high‐resolution mass spectrometry, positive electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry, and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Accurate mass measurement and NMR spectroscopy revealed the possible structure of process‐related impurities and degradant under stress conditions. The acceptable separation was accomplished on Waters bondapak C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm; 5 μm), using 5 mM ammonium acetate and acetonitrile as a mobile phase in a gradient elution mode at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The eluents were monitored by diode array detector at 247 nm and quantitation limits were obtained in the range of 0.1–2.5 μg/mL for Efavirenz, degradants, and process‐related impurities. The liquid chromatography method was validated with respect to accuracy, precision, linearity, robustness, and limits of detection and quantification as per International Conference on Harmonization guidelines.  相似文献

During the process development for multistep synthesis of Rosuvastatin calcium several impurities were obtained along with the final Rosuvastatin calcium. Out of this; synthesis of impurity A (acetone adduct) a minor impurity of Rosuvastatin calcium (3R,5S,6E)-7-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-[[(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl)sulfonyl(methyl)amino]-6-(1-methylethyl)-pyrimidin-5-yl]-3,5-dihydroxyheptenoicacid hemicalcium salt, is described. The synthesis of impurity A has been accomplished in 6 steps; starting from formation of β-hydroxy sulfonamide as the key intermediate and followed by using convenient routes with overall yield of 13.5%. The target compound can be used as the reference substance of impurity of the Rosuvastatin calcium.  相似文献

It is difficult to identify unknown impurities in nucleotide analogues by mass spectrometry because mass‐spectrometry‐incompatible mobile phases need to be used to separate the major ingredient from impurities. In this study, vidarabine monophosphate was selected, and unknown impurities were identified by online heart‐cutting two‐dimensional high‐performance liquid chromatography and linear ion trap mass spectrometry. The one‐dimensional reversed‐phase column was filled with a mobile phase containing nonvolatile salt. In two‐dimensional high‐performance liquid chromatography, we used an Acclaim Q1 column with volatile salt, and the detection wavelength was 260 nm. The mass spectrum was scanned in positive‐ and negative‐ion mode. The online heart‐cutting and online demineralization technique ensured that the mobile phase was compatible with mass spectrometry; seven impurities were identified by MS2 and MS3 fragments. The mass fragmentation patterns of these impurities were investigated. The two isomers were semiprepared and complemented by nuclear magnetic resonance. The results were further compared with those of normal‐phase high‐performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The online heart‐cutting two‐dimensional high‐performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry was superior in identifying more impurities. The method solves the problem of incompatibility between the mobile phase and mass spectrometry, so it is suitable for identifying unknown impurities. This method may also be used for investigating impurities in other nucleotide analogues.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Influence of nine different solvents, either alone or in a mixture, on the retention behavior of ziprasidone and its five impurities were examined by normal-phase thin-layer chromatography. Migration distances of the examined compounds obtained under the examined chromatographic conditions were correlated with calculated mobile phase properties, such as Snyder polarity and Hansen solubility. Linear or second-order polynomial relationships with high correlation coefficients were established between investigated variables. The obtained mathematical functions and statistical results indicated that selected mobile phase properties can be used for the prediction of the retention behavior of ziprasidone and its five impurities.  相似文献

The genotoxic impurities (GIs) are carcinogenic hence its management during synthesis of pharmaceuticals is very important to be detected even in trace level for the safe use of the drugs. The presence of drug substance/drug product DNA-reactive impurities poses a significant problem for drug regulators as well as industry. There are several regulatory guidelines and position papers focused on controlling the amount of impurities within the specified limits. The present compilation gives an account of updated information about GIs and reviews the regulatory aspects for GIs in active pharmaceutical ingredients/drug formulations. A detailed discussion about control strategies in the context of GIs is also described precisely. The analysis of GIs is a challenging and complex aspect of the drug development process. Control and determination of these impurities at ppm or ppb levels are significant challenges for analysts, therefore the approaches for the analysis of GIs have also been discussed.  相似文献
