New aspects of reactions of methyl (thio)ureas with benzil

New pathways of reaction between 1-methylthiourea or 1-methylurea and benzil bring about new derivatives of (2S*,3aR*,6aS*)-perhydro-3aH-[1,3]dioxolo[4,5-d]imidazole and racemic (4S*,5R*)-4-alkoxy-5-hydroxy-1-methyl-4,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2-thiones. Some of the obtained urea-and thiourea derivatives were characterized by X-ray diffraction, which showed their supramolecular organization governed by the directionality of hydrogen bonds at the acceptor side C=O or C=S groups.     

水促进的三组分PBM反应合成三级胺

首次报道了甲醛衍生的胺缩醛和芳基硼酸在水的促进下,可以在没有催化剂的条件下高效的合成三级胺.在此基础上建立了一种利用多聚甲醛,二级胺和芳基或杂环硼酸合成三级胺的高效合成方法.此反应条件温和,操作简单,具有很好的底物适应性,目标产物的收率最高可达93%.     

A novel and facile synthesis of 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-fused 1,3-diazaheterocycles via heterocyclic ketene aminals and Konevenagel adducts formed by phthalic anhydride and ethyl cyanacetate

An efficient synthetic pathway to 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-fused 1,3-diaza heterocycles from heterocyclic ketene aminals,phathalic anhydride and ethyl cyanacetate was established.This protocol involved aza-ene reaction/imine-enamine tautomerization/enamine-ester exchange/ring-opening reaction sequence.     

TETRAPHOSPHORUS TRISULFIDE IN REACTIONS WITH THIOACETALS,AMINALS, SULFENAMIDES AND DISULFIDES. INFLUENCE OF AMINES AND BENZOYL PEROXIDE

Abstract

The reactions of tetraphosphorus trisulfide with thioacetals, aminals, sulfenamides and disulfides were studied. The reactions were found to give organothiophosphorus compounds and to be facilitated by organic amines and benzoyl peroxide.     

Alkyl 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-2-isocyanatopropionates

Earlier unknown representatives of fluorine-containing α-chloroalkylisocyanates, viz., esters of 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-2-isocyanatopropionic acid, were obtained. Synthetic potentialities of these compounds in the preparation of 2-substituted derivatives of 3,3,3-trifluoroalanine were demonstrated. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Ethyl 3,3-diamino-2-(2-p-tolylpyrimidin-4-yl)acrylate,a new representative of hetarylketene aminals

A new representative of hetarylketene aminals, ethyl 3,3-diamino-2-(2-p-tolylpyrimidin-4-yl)acrylate, was synthesized by the reaction ofp-toluamidine with the condensation product of dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal and the difluoroboron chelate of acetyl(ethoxycarbonyl)ketene (N-benzoyl)aminal. This synthesis is an example of pyrimidine ring assembly using the methodology based on transformations of chelate complexes.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Synthesis of N-Pyridylmethylidene-2-aminopyridines and their Methyl-substituted Derivatives in the Presence of Molecular Sieves

We have studied condensation of 2-, 3-, 4-pyridinealdehydes and 6-methylpyridine-2-aldehyde with 2-aminopyridine and its 3-, 4-, and 6-methyl derivatives in benzene in the presence of molecular sieves. The reactions occur even at room temperature to form the corresponding pyridyl-pyridyl azomethines, and also aminals. We have determined the optimal conditions for carrying out the processes with the aim of obtaining both types of products. We consider the characteristics of the mass spectra for the synthesized aldimines. We present the X-ray diffraction results for the two aminals.     

Revision of the stereochemistry of the reductive Heck cyclisation of 1-(2-iodobenzoyl)-4-substituted-1.4-dihydro-pyridine-3-carbaldehyde aminals

The stereochemistry of reductive and non reductive Heck cyclisations of 4-substituted-1.4-dihydropyridines is reexamined. The both reactions occur mainly via an anti (from the C₄ substituent) 5-exo process without any epimerisation of the C₄-H.     

Dihydropyridine-based MCRs. New reaction pathways in the interaction with ethyl glyoxalate and non-aromatic amines

The Lewis acid-catalyzed interaction of dihydropyridines with ethyl glyoxalate and primary aliphatic amines yields, depending on the reaction conditions, bicyclic aminals or rearranged tetrahydropyridines in one-pot multicomponent reactions.
