Measuring the Lewis-acidic surface sites in catalysis is problematic when the material‘s surface area is very low (SBET ≤1 m2 ⋅ g−1). For the first time, a quantitative assessment of total acidic surface sites of very small surface area catalysts (MoO3 as pure and mixed with 5–30 % CdO (wt/wt), as well as CdO for comparison) was performed using a smart new probe molecule, tetrahydrofuran (THF). The results were nearly identical compared to using another commonly used probe molecule, pyridine. This audition is based on the limited values of the surface area of these samples that likely require a relatively moderate basic molecule as THF with pKb=16.08, rather than strong basic molecules such as NH3 (pKb=4.75) or pyridine (pKb=8.77). We propose mechanisms for the interaction of vapour phase molecules of THF with the Lewis-cationic Mo and Cd atoms of these catalysts. Besides, dehydration of isopropyl alcohol was used as a probe reaction to investigate the catalytic activity of these catalysts to further support our findings in the case of THF in a temperature range of 175–300 °C. A good agreement between the obtained data of sample MoO3-10 % CdO, which is characterised by the highest surface area value, the population of Lewis-acidic sites and % selectivity of propylene at all the applied reaction temperatures was found.  相似文献

The development of a predictive model towards site‐selective deprotometalation reactions using TMPZnCl?LiCl is reported (TMP=2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyl). The pKa values of functionalized N‐, S‐, and O‐heterocycles, arenes, alkenes, or alkanes were calculated and compared to the experimental deprotonation sites. Large overlap (>80 %) between the calculated and empirical deprotonation sites was observed, showing that thermodynamic factors strongly govern the metalation regioselectivity. In the case of olefins, calculated frozen state energies of the deprotonated substrates allowed a more accurate prediction. Additionally, various new N‐heterocycles were analyzed and the metalation regioselectivities rationalized using the predictive model.  相似文献

The acidity of protic cations and neutral molecules has been studied extensively in the gas phase, and the gas‐phase acidity has been established previously as a very useful measure of the intrinsic acidity of neutral and cationic compounds. However, no data for any anionic acids were available prior to this study. The protic anions [H(B12X12)]? (X=F, Cl, Br, I) are expected to be the most acidic anions known to date. Therefore, they were investigated in this study with respect to their ability to protonate neutral molecules in the gas phase by using a combination of mass spectrometry and quantum‐chemical calculations. For the first time it was shown that in the gas phase protic anions are also able to protonate neutral molecules and thus act as Brønsted acids. According to theoretical calculations, [H(B12I12)]? is the most acidic gas‐phase anion, whereas in actual protonation experiments [H(B12Cl12)]? is the most potent gas‐phase acidic anion for the protonation of neutral molecules. This discrepancy is explained by ion pairing and kinetic effects.  相似文献

在生物柴油生产过程中大量副产的甘油是重要的生物质转化平台化合物.通过甘油氢解制备高附加值的1,3-丙二醇是甘油的资源化利用的重要途径,能够显著提高生物柴油产业的经济效益,同时也是探究更复杂的糖醇类化合物氢解的模型反应.因此,甘油氢解制备1,3-丙二醇成为当前学术界的研究热点.通常,以Re或W为助剂修饰的贵金属催化剂是有效的甘油选择性氢解制1,3-丙二醇的催化剂,其中,双金属Ir-Re催化剂是目前最高效的催化剂之一.甘油氢解反应是典型的结构敏感性反应,它的催化性能依赖于双金属催化剂的结构,而后者受制备工艺条件如热处理方式及条件的影响.最近,我们报道了以直接还原法(即浸渍-还原法)制备的Ir-Re催化剂为合金结构,在甘油氢解中表现出更为优越的反应活性及目前报道中最高的1,3-丙二醇生成速率,并提出了可能的双功能反应机理,即催化剂表面的Re-OH酸性位和Ir均为甘油氢解的活性位.本文采用直接还原法制备KIT-6(具有三维有序介孔孔道结构的SiO2)负载的双金属Ir-Re催化剂,进一步研究还原温度对Ir-Re/KIT-6的结构及其催化性能的影响,揭示催化剂表面酸性在甘油氢解反应中的重要作用并阐明其构-效关系.结果显示不同还原温度(400–700 oC)制备的催化剂的比表面积、孔体积及孔径数据基本一致,表明还原温度对Ir-Re/KIT-6的织构性质的影响很小.根据程序升温还原和透射电镜-能量散射点扫描结果可知,不同温度还原后的催化剂表面Ir和Re均以金属态形式存在,同时两者存在直接的相互作用,形成了Ir-Re合金;而漫反射红外图谱上CO吸附峰的红移以及峰形的显著变化也印证了Ir-Re合金结构的形成. TEM结果显示,在400–700oC还原后得到的Ir-Re合金纳米粒子均匀分布于KIT-6上,尺寸基本一致(2.5–2.8 nm),与CO化学吸附结果一致.此外, NH3-程序升温脱附结果表明催化剂的酸量随着还原温度的升高而逐渐增大,但酸强度没有明显变化,这可能是由于高温还原进一步促进了Ir和Re的相互作用,在原子尺度上混合更为均匀所致. Ir-Re催化剂上甘油氢解反应结果显示,随着还原温度由400提高到600 oC,所制催化剂的活性先增加而后趋于稳定.由此可以认为Ir-Re催化性能的差异与Ir分散度和酸强度的关联较小,主要是由于催化剂表面酸量所致.直接关联酸量与反应活性(以反应时间内的平均1,3-丙二醇生成速率表示)可以看到,反应活性随着酸量的增加而线性增大,表明Ir-Re/KIT-6的表面酸量直接影响了甘油氢解反应速率的快慢,即酸位Re-OH直接参与了催化反应.众所周知, Re金属活化H2的能力很弱,而金属Ir在反应中起到催化加氢的作用.实验结果很好地印证了Ir-Re合金催化甘油氢解反应的双功能反应机理,即酸位Re-OH与金属Ir协同参与氢解反应,分别作为甘油吸附位和H2活化中心,因此提高催化剂的表面Re-OH的数量将是进一步提高催化活性的途径之一.总的来说,在400–700 oC还原得到的Ir-Re/KIT-6催化剂具有Ir-Re合金结构.还原温度对催化剂的织构性质、金属纳米粒子的尺寸、Ir的分散度及表面酸强度的影响不大,但还原温度的升高有利于Ir和Re的相互作用,显著提高了催化剂的表面酸量,因而提高催化活性.此外,表面酸量和反应活性的线性关系表明酸位Re-OH参与Ir-Re合金催化甘油氢解反应,印证了双功能反应机理.  相似文献

α,β-不饱和醇是一类重要的精细化学品,主要通过α,β-不饱和醛选择性加氢获得.由于α,β-不饱和醛分子中含有共轭的C=C键和C=O键,且后者键能更大,在热力学和动力学上均不利于C=O键的选择性加氢生成α,β-不饱和醇.因此,提高α,β-不饱和醛中C=O的加氢选择性是催化领域中一项挑战性的课题.巴豆醛属于典型的α,β-不饱和醛,研究其选择性加氢生成巴豆醇具有广泛的代表意义;Ir负载在具有还原性载体(如TiO2)上时,表现出很好的C=O加氢选择性,因此,成为近年来的研究热点.由于暴露不同晶面的TiO2具有不同的形貌和电子结构,因此研究Ir-TiO2相互作用的晶面依赖性及其对巴豆醛选择性加氢反应的影响具有重要意义.本文以分别暴露{101}、{100}和{001}晶面的锐钛矿TiO2纳米晶为载体,制备了负载型Ir/TiO2催化剂,系统研究了催化剂经过不同的预处理过程(在不同温度下H2还原和O2再氧化)后对巴豆醛的气相选择性加氢的性能.利用高分辨透射电镜、原位X射线光电子能谱和原位漫反射红外光谱及氨程序升温脱附等技术研究发现,预处理条件显著改变了Ir-TiOx的相互作用,包括Ir金属的几何、电子性质及催化剂表面酸性.这种相互作用与TiO2的暴露晶面密切相关,从而改变了不同Ir/TiO2催化剂上不同加氢反应行为.研究结果表明,经300℃预还原的Ir/TiO2-{101}催化剂催化性能最好,在80℃下初始反应速率为166.1 μmol g-Ir-1 s-1,巴豆醇的生成转化频率为0.022 s-1.与其他催化剂相比,Ir/TiO2-{101}催化剂表面Ir0浓度最高,表面酸度适中,因此表现出最佳的催化性能.同时Ir-TiOx界面在反应中的协同作用,对H2和巴豆醛分子中C=O键的吸附和活化起到了关键作用.然而当催化剂经过400℃的H2预还原后,由于产生了强的金属-载体相互作用使得TiOx对Ir粒子进行了包裹从而导致Ir-TiOx界面缺失,因而催化剂催化巴豆醛加氢性能降低.本文为理解金属-载体相互作用对巴豆醛选择性加氢反应的影响提供了新的见解,并为设计高性能α,β-不饱和醛选择性加氢催化剂提供了理论依据.  相似文献

采用水热合成法使铁进入分子筛MFI骨架结构,成功合成出含骨架铁的分子筛Na-[Fe]-ZSM-5,并通过离子交换法负载Pt制备脱氢催化剂Pt/Na-[Fe]-ZSM-5。通过正十二烷脱氢反应,研究了该催化剂对长链烷烃脱氢制单烯烃反应的催化性能。采用N2吸附-脱附测试、X射线衍射(XRD)、傅立叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)、氨气程序升温脱附(NH3-TPD)、吡啶吸附的红外光谱(Py-IR)、CO化学吸附、透射电子显微镜(TEM)等不同方法对催化剂进行了表征。结果表明,通过控制骨架铁含量可调控催化剂表面酸性;含骨架铁的ZSM-5分子筛载体具有抑制负载金属晶粒长大,保持金属高分散度的作用;其负载铂催化剂Pt/Na-[Fe]ZSM-5-50具有表面弱酸中心(0.69 mmol·g^-1)和高分散Pt中心,因而具有良好的长链烷烃脱氢活性、稳定性和单烯烃选择;在转化率稳定在~20%时,TOF为4.56 s^-1,单烯烃选择性为92.7%;在实验范围内,Pt/Na-[Fe]ZSM-5催化剂表面弱酸量和脱氢反应的本征活性(TOF)均随催化剂铁含量的增加而增加。  相似文献

Some of the most popular computational methods have been utilized to determine a dependency of the acidity trend of the first‐row hydrides on a choice of basis set. For about three decades, methyl anion ( ) was known as the strongest base but after Tian et al. were able to produce the gas phase lithium monoxide anion (LiO–) they discovered it was a stronger base than (Tian et al., Proc Natl Acad Soc USA 2008, 105, 7647). Furthermore, the authors confirmed their experimental results using high‐level ab initio methods, namely W1 and W2C composite methods, as well as complete active space‐averaged quadratic coupled cluster and Brueckner Doubles with triple excitation contribution (BD(T)) within the aug‐cc‐pVQZ basis set. These methods are highly demanding in terms of the computational effort as well as a level of expertise needed from the user to correctly conduct such calculations. We have shown that the proper acidity trend, that is, , can be obtained with less expensive, ”black‐box” type methods if only the basis set is properly chosen. Our results prove that the diffuse augmented basis sets are absolutely necessary for appropriate predictions of acidities. Our calculations show that the correct order of is achieved by augmenting relatively small cc‐pVXZ (X = D,T) basis sets. A similar effect is observed for the family of Pople's basis sets. Our estimate for with CCSD(T)/aug‐cc‐pVTZ was 423.8 kcal/mol, which agrees very well with the experimental value 425.7 ± 6.1 kcal/mol. An important finding is that the proper acidity trend may be reversed if the basis sets are not correctly selected. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

General synthetic access to expanded π‐acidic surfaces of variable size, topology, chirality, and π acidity is reported. The availability of π surfaces with these characteristics is essential to develop the functional relevance of anion–π interactions with regard to molecular recognition, translocation, and transformation. The problem is that, with expanded π surfaces, the impact of electron‐withdrawing substituents decreases and the high π acidity needed for strong anion–π interactions can be more difficult to obtain. To overcome this problem, it is herein proposed to build large surfaces from smaller fragments and connect these fragments with bridges that are composed only of single atoms. Two central surfaces for powerful anion–π interactions, namely, perfluoroarenes and naphthalenediimides (NDIs), were selected as fragments and coupled with through sulfide bridges. Their oxidation to sulfoxides and sulfones, as well as fluorine substitution in the peripheral rings, provides access to the full chemical space of relevant π acidities. According to cyclic voltammetry, LUMO levels range from ?3.96 to ?4.72 eV. With sulfoxide bridges, stereogenic centers are introduced to further enrich the intrinsic planar chirality of the expanded surfaces. The stereoisomers were separated by chiral HPLC and characterized by X‐ray crystallography. Their topologies range from chairs to π boats, and the latter are reminiscent of the cation–π boxes in operational neuronal receptors. With pentafluorophenyl acceptors, the π acidity of NDIs with two sulfoxide groups in the core reaches ?4.45 eV, whereas two sulfone moieties give a value of ?4.72 eV, which is as low as with four ethyl sulfone groups, that is, a π superacid near the limit of existence. Beyond anion–π interactions, these conceptually innovative π‐acidic surfaces are also of interest as electron transporters in conductive materials.  相似文献
