Barium(II)–2,4‐dinitrophenolate–18‐crown‐6 at 183 K

The title compound, bis(2,4‐dinitrophenolato‐κ²O,O′)(1,4,7,10,13,16‐hexaoxadecane‐κ⁶O)barium(II), [Ba(C₆H₃N₂O₅)₂(C₁₂H₂₄O₆)], is a 1:1 complex of barium(II)–2,4‐di­nitro­phenolate and 1,4,7,10,13,16‐hexaoxa­cyclo­octa­decane (18‐crown‐6). Its structure is located on a crystallographic inversion centre. The temperature dependence of the crystal structure has been studied. The monoclinic β angle of the P2₁/­n space group increases with increasing temperature. The packing structure of the complex is stabilized by intermolecular C—H?O interactions.     

1‐Acetyl‐3′‐(4‐bromophenyl)‐3′‐chlorospiro[3H‐indole‐3,2′‐oxetan]‐2(1H)‐one

In the title compound, C₁₈H₁₃BrClNO₃, the heterocyclic ring of the indole is distorted from planarity towards an envelope conformation. The orientations of the indole, oxetane, chloro and bromo­phenyl substituents are conditioned by the sp³ states of the spiro‐junction and the Cl‐attached C atoms.     

Di‐2‐pyridyl ketone N4,N4‐(butane‐1,4‐diyl)thiosemicarbazone

The title compound, C₁₆H₁₇N₅S, is in the thione form and crystallizes with two independent mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit. In both mol­ecules, the penta­methyl­ene­imine five‐membered ring adopts an envelope conformation, and in one of the molecules this ring shows positional disorder. The thione S and hydrazine N atoms are in the Z configuration with respect to the C—N bond.     

Bis[1,1′‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenium] hexadecachlorotetraantimony(III) ethanol solvate

In the title compound, [Fe(C₁₇H₁₄P)₂]₂[Sb₄Cl₁₆]·C₂H₆O, the Fe atoms lie on inversion centres and the pairs of cyclopentadienyl rings are consequently in a fully staggered conformation. The centrosymmetric anionic clusters formed by [Sb₄Cl₁₆]^4? are surrounded by the cations and are held together by weak C—H?Cl interactions. These formations stack along the a axis to form columns, and the columns are interconnected by another weak C—H?Cl interaction along the b axis.     

Bis­(ethyl­enedi­amine)copper(II) bis(O,O′‐diethyl di­thio­phosphate)

In the structure of the title compound, [Cu^II­(en)₂][(EtO)₂P(S)S]₂ (en is ethyl­ene­di­amine) or [Cu(C₂H₈N₂)₂](C₄H₁₀O₂PS₂)₂, the Cu atom lies on a center of inversion and is coordinated in a slightly distorted square coordination geometry by four N atoms from two ethyl­enedi­amine mol­ecules. The diethyl di­thio­phosphate moieties, (EtO)₂P(S)S^?, act as counter‐anions.     

Synthesis, Characterization and Two-Photon Absorption Properties of a Novel Pyridinium Salt

A novel pyridinium salt, 2,4-bis[p-(N,N-dimethylamino)styryll-N-metlayl pyridinium iodide (BMSPI) was synthesized and characterized by TG, ^1H NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis, and the reaction process was studied by using ES-MS. When BMSPI was pumped by a pulsed 1064 nm, 50 ps laser beam, it manifests highly efficient TPA (Two-Photon Absorption) and up-conversion superradiance. The up-conversion efficiency was 6.0% at the pump energy of 4-6 mJ and the lifetime of two-photon fluorescence was measured as 59 ps.     

9,9‐Dimethoxy‐7,11‐diphenyl‐2,4‐diazaspiro[5.5]undecane‐1,3,5‐trione monohydrate

Due to steric repulsions, the cyclo­hexane ring in the title compound, C₂₃H₂₄N₂O₅·H₂O, shows some bond‐length abnormalities and adopts a chair conformation. The pyrimidine and cyclo­hexane rings are approximately perpendicular to each other, and the phenyl rings are equatorial. C—H?π and N—H?O intermolecular interactions, as well as C—H?O inter‐ and intramolecular interactions, occur between the mol­ecules. In addition to van der Waals interactions, the water mol­ecule interacts with the pyrimidine­trione ring to stabilize the structure.     

2‐Hydro­xy‐3‐(4,5,6,7‐tetra­hydro‐1H‐imidazo­[4,5‐c]­pyridin‐5‐ium‐4‐yl)­benzoate monohydrate

The title mol­ecule, C₁₃H₁₃N₃O₃·H₂O, is in the form of a mono­hydrated zwitterion. The tetra­hydro­pyridinium ring adopts an envelope conformation and is nearly coplanar with the plane of the imidazoline ring. The water solvate mol­ecule plays an important role as a bridge between zwitterions, forming molecular chains running along the c direction, which are interconnected by N—H?O hydrogen bonds into molecular ribbons. The crystal packing is further stabilized by another N—H?O and one O—H?N hydrogen bond, which interconnect the molecular ribbons.     

4‐[3‐(3,4‐Di­methoxy­phenyl)­prop‐2‐enoyl]­phenyl methacryl­ate and 4‐[3‐(2‐bromo­phenyl)­prop‐2‐enoyl]­phenyl methacryl­ate

Chalcones (α,β‐unsaturated ketones) are effective antitumour agents. It has been proved that having halogen or methoxy groups substituted in various positions of the phenyl ring enhances the activity of chalcones many times. The title compounds, C₂₁H₂₀O₅ and C₁₉H₁₅BrO₃, respectively, were chosen for crystallographic study in order to determine their structures and conformations. In both compounds, the keto group is in the s‐cis conformation and is almost planar. There are weak intramolecular interactions in both structures.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Novel Polymeric Lead(II) Compound: [Pb2(phen)2(N3)3(ClO4)]n

A 2D lead(II) coordination polymer [Pb₂(phen)₂(N₃)₃(ClO₄)]_n,( 1 ) containing 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen) and two different anions, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and ¹H NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray crystallography. The single‐crystal X‐ray data show two different kinds of Pb²⁺ ions with coordination numbers of eight, Pb1 = PbN₆O₂ and Pb2 = PbN₈, with hemidirected and holodirected structures, respectively. The supramolecular features in 1 is negiotated through the weak but directional C‐H···O and C‐H···N interactions and aromatic π–π stacking interactions.
