We investigate the strength and direction of information flow between exchange rates and stock prices in several emerging countries by the novel concept of effective transfer entropy (an alternative non-linear causality measure) with symbolic encoding methodology. Analysis shows that before the 2008 crisis, only low level interaction exists between these two variables and exchange rates dominate stock prices in general. During crisis, strong bidirectional interaction arises. In the post-crisis period, the strong interaction continues to exist and in general stock prices dominate exchange rates. 相似文献

The pinning synchronization on complex networks with low energy cost was investigated. Two basic problems were considered, in this paper. One is how to achieve synchronization on complex network with weak coupling. Another is how to reduce the energy cost in the process of achieving and keeping synchronization. On the other hand, for a good pinning strategy, the synchronizing speed should also be ensured. In this paper, a switching pinning strategy was proposed to enhance the synchronizing speed. And from the point of view of energy saving, some selected links were strengthened. Theoretical analysis and simulations on different complex networks indicate that the proposed pinning strategy is effective. Compare with conventional existing method, the superiority of our method is significant. 相似文献

Sulfur‐fumigation is known to reduce volatile compounds that are the main active components in herbs used in herbal medicine. We investigated changes in chemical composition between sun‐dried and sulfur‐fumigated Radix Angelicae Dahuricae using a purge and trap technique to capture volatile compounds, and two‐dimensional gas chromatography/time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry for identification. Using sun‐dried Radix Angelicae Dahuricae samples as a reference, the results showed that 73 volatile compounds, including 12 sulfide compounds, were found to be present only in sulfur‐fumigated samples. Furthermore, 32 volatile compounds that were found in sun‐dried Radix Angelicae Dahuricae samples disappeared after sulfur‐fumigation. The proposed method can be applied to accurately discriminate sulfur‐fumigated Radix Angelicae Dahuricae from different commercial sources. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Optical toroidal resonance in structural variations of the double-disk metamaterial, in viewpoint of an equivalent LC-circuit model, is numerically studied to optimize its geometrically-dependent optical characteristics, such as the enhancement capability of local-field confinement and the extinction coefficient. Responses of high-order magnetic vortex resonances (i.e., the double- and triple-fold vortex modes), in addition to the fundamental toroidal dipole, are excited in accordance with a standing-wave model of oscillating current. The induced strengths for these vortex responses are sensitive, in different manners, to the incident angle of the light, though their frequencies are angularly independent. 相似文献

Numerical solutions of the shallow water equations can be used to reproduce flow hydrodynamics occurring in a wide range of regions. In hydraulic engineering, the objectives include the prediction of dam break wave propagation, fluvial floods and other catastrophic flooding phenomena, the modeling of estuarine and coastal circulations, and the design and optimization of hydraulic structures. In this paper, a well‐balanced explicit and semi‐implicit finite element scheme for shallow water equations over complex domains involving wetting and drying is proposed. The governing equations are discretized by a fractional finite element method using a two‐step Taylor–Galerkin scheme. First, the intermediate increment of conserved variable is obtained explicitly neglecting the pressure gradient term. This is then corrected for the effects of pressure once the pressure increment has been obtained from the Poisson equation. In order to maintain the ‘well‐balanced’ property, the pressure gradient term and bed slope terms are incorporated into the Poisson equation. Moreover, a local bed slope modification technique is employed in drying–wetting interface treatments. The proposed model is well validated against several theoretical benchmark tests. This paper presents a study of multi-objective optimal design of full state feedback controls. The goal of the design is to minimize several conflicting performance objective functions at the same time. The simple cell mapping method with a hybrid algorithm is used to find the multi-objective optimal design solutions. The multi-objective optimal design comes in a set of gains representing various compromises of the control system. In this paper, a new filled function method for finding a global minimizer of global optimization is proposed. The proposed filled function is continuously differentiable and only contains one parameter. It has no parameter sensitive terms. As a result, a general classical local optimization method can be used to find a better minimizer of the proposed filled function with easy parameter adjustment.
