A new cyclic peptide with a 3-hydroxyoxindole ring, celogentin K (1), has been isolated from the seeds of Celosia argentea and the structure including its absolute stereochemistry was assigned by using extensive NMR, MS/MS, and CD spectra. A search for a nonzero neutrino magnetic moment has been conducted using 1496 live days of solar neutrino data from Super-Kamiokande-I. Specifically, we searched for distortions to the energy spectrum of recoil electrons arising from magnetic scattering due to a nonzero neutrino magnetic moment. In the absence of a clear signal, we found micro(nu)=(3.6x10(-10))micro(B) at 90% C.L. by fitting to the Super-Kamiokande day-night spectra. The fitting took into account the effect of neutrino oscillation on the shapes of energy spectra. With additional information from other solar neutrino and KamLAND experiments constraining the oscillation region, a limit of micro(nu)=(1.1x10(-10))micro(B) at 90% C.L. was obtained. 相似文献

Semi‐interpenetrating polymer networks (semi‐IPNs) were prepared by reactions of 2,4‐tolylene diisocyanate (TDI) and hydroxy‐terminated 4‐arm star‐shaped l ‐lactide oligomers (H4LAOn's) with the degrees of polymerization of lactate unit per one arm, n = 3, 5, and 10 in the presence of poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL). Morphologies, thermal, and mechanical properties of the TDI‐bridged H4LAOn (TH4LAOn)/PCL semi‐IPNs were evaluated by comparing with those of poly(l ‐lactide) (PLA)/PCL blends. Compatibility between the two components of the TH4LAOn/PCL semi‐IPN with a PCL content not more than 50 wt % was much better than those of the PLA/PCL blends with the same PCL content. All the TH4LAOn networks were substantially amorphous and their tan δ peak or glass transition temperatures increased with decreasing n value. Most of the semi‐IPNs did not show clear glass transition temperature related to both the components. Tensile toughness and elongation at break for all the TH4LAOn/PCL semi‐IPNs were much higher than those for the PLA/PCL blends with the same PCL content. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. A new CeIV complex [Ce{NH(CH2CH2N=CHC6H2‐3,5‐(tBu)2‐2‐O)2}(NO3)2] ( 1 ), bearing a dianionic pentadentate ligand with an N3O2 donor set, has been prepared by treating (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 with the sodium salt of ligand L1 . Complex 1 in the presence of TEMPO and 4 Å molecular sieves (MS4 A) has been found to serve as a catalyst for the oxidation of arylmethanols using dioxygen as an oxidant. We propose an oxidation mechanism based on the isolation and reactivity study of a trivalent cerium complex [Ce{NH(CH2CH2N=CHC6H2‐3,5‐(tBu)2‐2‐O)2}(NO3)(THF)] ( 2 ), its side‐on μ‐O2 adduct [Ce{NH(CH2CH2N=CHC6H2‐3,5‐(tBu)2‐2‐O)2}(NO3)]2(μ‐η2:η2‐O2) ( 3 ), and the hydroxo‐bridged CeIV complex [Ce{NH(CH2CH2N=CHC6H2‐3,5‐(tBu)2‐2‐O)2}(NO3)]2(μ‐OH)2 ( 4 ) as key intermediates during the catalytic cycle. Complex 2 was synthesized by reduction of 1 with 2,5‐dimethyl‐1,4‐bis(trimethylsilyl)‐1,4‐diazacyclohexadiene. Bubbling O2 into a solution of 2 resulted in formation of the peroxo complex 3 . This provides the first direct evidence for cerium‐catalyzed oxidation of alcohols under an O2 atmosphere. 相似文献

We describe the first total synthesis and structural determination of akaterpin, an inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC). The key features of the synthetic strategy include a regio- and stereoselective C-alkylation at the angular C1′ position and an exo-selective intermolecular Diels-Alder reaction. Background
The prognostic implications of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) have been evaluated in ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies. The present study analyzed LGE distribution in patients with end-stage hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ES-HCM) and with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), and tried to identify high risk patients in DCM.Methods
Eleven patients with ES-HCM and 72 with DCM underwent cine- and LGE-cardiac magnetic resonance and ultrasound cardiography. The patient outcome was analyzed retrospectively for 5 years of follow-up.Results
LGE distributed mainly in the inter-ventricular septum, but spread more diffusely into other left ventricular segments in patients with ES-HCM and in a certain part of patients with DCM. Thus, patients with DCM can be divided into three groups according to LGE distribution; no LGE (n = 24), localized LGE (localized at septum, n = 36), and extensive LGE (spread into other segments, n = 12). Reverse remodeling occurred after treatment in patients with no LGE and with localized LGE, but did not in patients with extensive LGE and with ES-HCM. The event-free survival rate for composite outcome (cardiac death, hospitalization for decompensated heart failure or ventricular arrhythmias) was lowest in patients with extensive LGE (92%, 74% and 42% in no LGE, localized LGE, and extensive LGE, p = 0.02 vs. no LGE), and was comparable to that in patients with ES-HCM (42%).Conclusions
In DCM, patients with extensive LGE showed no functional recovery and the lowest event-free survival rate that were comparable to patients with ES-HCM. The analysis of LGE distribution may be valuable to predict reverse remodeling and to identify high-risk patients. 相似文献88.

A heptacyclic carbocycle possessing three p-quinodimethane units conjugated in one plane has been synthesized and shown to exhibit distinct biradical characteristics. The molecule has a HOMO/LUMO band gap of ca. 1 eV and a S(0)-T(1) energy gap of 2.12 kcal/mol, and it absorbs and emits near-IR light at room temperature. It is air-stable under ambient light for several months and thermally stable up to 160 °C under nitrogen, and it undergoes reversible two-electron oxidation and reduction. The development of methods to pattern nanocrystals with different sizes and shapes remains a challenge. In this study, we demonstrate a unique class of bottom‐up approaches to assemble nanocrystals into patterns. Our approach for patterning nanocrystals focuses on the utilization and control of the chemical reaction of solvents surrounding nanocrystals. The photopolymerization of solvent molecules through a photomask creates time‐dependent concentration gradients of the solvents. Dispersed nanocrystals such as silver nanowires (AgNWs) migrate and are gradually organized and integrated into the polymerizing films based on the concentration gradients. The AgNW‐embedded film properties are determined by the organized AgNW structures and include light transmission and electrical conductivity. Overall, the demonstrated method is very simple, widely applicable to various nanocrystals and solvents, and can thus contribute to the development of a new class of nanocrystal patterning methods. 相似文献
