Phosphorylation of Dialkylaminomethyl-substituted Calix[4]resorcinolarenes with Hexaalkylphosphorous Triamides and Phosphorus(V) Dichlorides

A series of aminophosphino cavitands were synthesized by reactions of dialkylaminomethyl-substituted calix[4]resorcinolarenes with hexaalkylphosphorous triamides, and their properties were studied. New aminoalkylated (thio)phosphato(phosphonato) cavitands were prepared by phosphorylation of dialkylaminomethyl-substituted calix[4]resorcinolarenes with phosphorus(V) dichlorides in the presence of a base. Their reactions with electrophilic alkylating agents (methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate, methyl iodide, and triethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate) were examined.     

Saturated nitrogen-containing heterocycles. 16. Catalytic synthesis of N-arylperhydroacridines

Catalytic hydroamination of methylene-2,2-dicyclohexanone in the presence of substituted anilines or nitrobenzenes involves the formation of N-arylperhydroacridines. The stereoisomeric composition and yields of the latter are determined by the nature and position of the substituent in the aromatic ring of the aminating agent. Leaves of Cacalia hastate L. (Asteraceae) were composed of free sugars, water-soluble polysaccharides (arabinogalactan type), pectinic substances, hemicelluloses, and cellulose. The hypoglycemic activity was determined for the water-soluble polysaccharides and pectinic substances.     

Effects of Surfactants on the Spectral Properties of Carbocyanine Dyes in Solutions

The spectral and luminescence properties of an anionic carbocyanine dye were studied under various conditions. These properties were shown to depend on the solvent polarity and additives introduced such as KBr, gelatin, and surfactants. It has been established that the effects of different surfactants (cationic CTAB, anionic SDS, AOT, and nonionic Triton X-100) on the spectral behavior of the dye in solutions are very individual and exhibit a number of features, which cannot be reduced to the rule below CMC–above CMC.

Spectral and luminescent investigations of ammonia cyclometalated Pt(II) complexes

A method of synthesis of ammonia cyclometalated Pt(II) complexes [Pt(NH₃)₂C∧N]ClO₄, where C∧N is 2-phenylpyridinate or 2-phenylbenzothiazole ion, is developed. The electronic absorption and emission properties of the complexes are studied. It is found that the state responsible for intense long-lived luminescence is the excited charge-transfer state of the ³(d-π*) type, the π* orbital being localized at the corresponding cyclometalating ligand. Formation of platinum blue is observed in air-saturated aqueous solutions of ammonia cyclometalated complexes.
