In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we discuss the pair production of the T-odd top partner(T_) that decays almost 100% into the top quark and the lightest T-odd particle(A_H). Considering the current constraints,we investigate the observability of the T-odd top partner pair production through the process pp→T_T_→tt A_HA_H in the final states with two leptons at 14 TeV LHC. We analyze the signal significance and found that the lower limits on the T-odd top partner mass are approximately 1.2 TeV, 1.3 TeV, and 1.4 TeV at the 2σ confidence level at 14 TeV LHC with an integrated luminosities of 30 fb~(-1), 100 fb~(-1), and 300 fb~(-1), respectively. This lower limit can be increased to approximately 1.5(1.6) TeV if we used 1000(3000) fb~(-1) of the integrated luminosity.  相似文献

We present a study about the flavor changing coupling of the top quark with the Higgs boson through the channel $pp\to H t/\bar{t}$ with $H\to b\bar{b}$ at LHC. The final states considered for the such process are $l^\pm+\mathbb{E}_{T}+3b$. We focus on the boosted region in the phase space of the Higgs boson. The backgrounds and events are simulated and analyzed. The sensitivities for the FCNH couplings are estimated. It is found that it is more sensitive for $y_{\rm tu}$ than $y_{\rm tq}$ at LHC. The upper limits of the FCNH couplings can be set at LHC with 3000 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ integrated luminosity as $\vert y_{\rm tu}\vert^2=1.1\times10^{-3}$ and $\vert y_{\rm tc}\vert^2=7.2\times 10^{-3}$ at 95% C.L.  相似文献

The Elementary Goldstone Higgs(EGH) model is a perturbative extension of the standard model(SM),which identifies the EGH boson as the observed Higgs boson. In this paper, we study pair production of the EGH boson via gluon fusion at the LHC and find that the resonant contribution of the heavy scalar is very small and the SM-like triangle diagram contribution is strongly suppressed. The total production cross section mainly comes from the box diagram contribution and its value can be significantly enhanced with respect to the SM prediction.  相似文献

One of the future goals of the LHC is to precisely measure the properties of the Higgs boson. The associated production of a Higgs boson and top quark pair is a promising process to investigate the related Yukawa interaction and the properties of the Higgs. Compared with the pure scalar sector in the Standard Model, the Higgs sector contains both scalars and pseudoscalars in many new physics models, which makes the ttH interaction more complex and provides a variety of phenomena. One of the first physics results that CMS will hopefully obtain will be the analysis of heavy quarkonium productions, including the Υ cross-section measurement. Since the Υ production cross-section from p-p collisions is expected to be relatively large, the analysis should be viable with rather small datasets which will be available soon after the start-up of the LHC. This paper describes the methods and plans for measuring the differential cross-section of Υ(1S) →μ+μ- production, by using data to be collected from the CMS detector in the first LHC run. In this study, about 80 thousand Υ are reconstructed corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.4 pb-1 in 10 TeV proton-proton collisions by using Monte Carlo data. The precision of this measurement is estimated to be about 16%, which is limited by the systematic errors.  相似文献

The photon-induced processes at the LHC provide clean experimentalconditions due to absence of the proton remnants, which might produce complementary and interesting results for tests of the standard model and for searching of new physics. In the context of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we consider the photon-induced production of the mirror quarks at the LHC.
