Flavonoids ofStachys spectabilis

From the epigeal part ofStachys spectabilis we have isolated three flavonoids: the known stachyflaside and isostachyflaside, and the new spectabiflaside (I). On the basis of chemical transformations and an analysis of spectral characteristics, for (I) we propose the structure of 4,5,8-trihydroxy-7-[0--D-mannopyranosyl-(1 2)--D-glucopyranosyloxy]-3-methoxyflavone (I).Kharkov Scientific-Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Extensions of Laguerre operators in indefinite inner product spaces

The Laguerre-Sonin polynomialsL _n ⁽⁾ are orthogonal in linear spaces with indefinite inner product if<–1. We construct the completion () of this space and describe self-adjoint extensions of the Laguerre operatorl(y)=xy+(1+–x)y,<–1, in the space (). Viscoelasticity of concentrated emulsions stabilized by bovine serum albumin in the presence of a nonionic surfactant

Viscoelastic properties of highly concentrated toluene-in-water emulsions stabilized by mixtures of bovine serum albumin and a nonionic surfactant, polyoxyethylene(20)sorbitan monooleate, are studied by a dynamic method in a wide frequency range. It is shown that an increase in the relative content of the surfactant results in a suppression of the system elasticity and a decrease in the relaxation time. A direct correlation is found between the dynamic and steady rheological characteristics of the systems under examination. The latter fact confirms indirectly that the viscoelasticity of the emulsions is due to the presence of the high-molecular-mass component in interfacial layers.
