The reaction of I (-) with methyl naphthalene-2-sulfonate (MeONs) is accelerated by the micellized sulfobetaine surfactants N-decyl, N-dodecyl, N-tetradecyl, and N-hexadecyl- N, N-dimethylammonio-1-propanesulfonate. Concentrations of micellar-bound I (-) were determined by using ion-selective electrodes (ISE), and capillary electrophoresis. At low concentrations, I (-) incorporation fits Langmuir isotherms and is related to changes in micellar surface potentials. Rate effects of dilute KI are fitted quantitatively by a pseudophase model that describes I (-) binding in terms of a sorption isotherm, but at higher [KI], where the simple model predicts saturation, rates increase due to electrolyte invasion. This model considers transfer equilibria of both reactants between water and micelles and second-order rate constants in each pseudophase. Estimated second-order rate constants for reaction of MeONs with I (-) in the micellar pseudophase are 3.2- to 3.5-fold higher than the second-order rate constant, k 2w, in water, depending on surfactant structure and assumptions in the treatment. 相似文献

In recent years, it has been demonstrated that direct microjet injection into the shear layer of the main jet disrupts the feedback loop inherent in high speed impinging jet flows, thereby significantly reducing the adverse effects. The amount of noise reduced by microjet actuation is known to be dependent on nozzle operating conditions. In this paper, two active control strategies using microjets are suggested to maintain a uniform, reliable, and optimal reduction of these tones over the entire range of operating conditions. In the first method, a quasi-closed loop control strategy is proposed using steady microjet injection and the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) algorithm. The most energetic spatial mode of the unsteady pressure along the nozzle diameter is captured using the POD, which in turn is used to determine the distribution of microjet intensity along the nozzle exit. Preliminary experimental results from a STOVL supersonic jet facility at Mach 1.5 show that the quasi-closed loop control strategy, in some cases, provides an additional 8–10 dB reduction compared to axisymmetric injection at the desired operating conditions. The second method consists of a pulsed microjet injection, motivated by the need to further improve the noise suppression. It was observed that the pulsed microjet was able to bring about the same noise reduction as steady injection using approximately 40% of the corresponding mass flow rate of the steady microjet case. Moreover, as the duty cycle increased, the performance of pulsed injection was further enhanced and was observed to completely eliminate the impinging tones at all operating conditions. 相似文献

By using scanning tunneling microscope induced luminescence (STML) technique, we investigate systematically the bias-polarity dependent electroluminescence behavior of a single platinum phthalocyanine (PtPc) molecule and the electron excitation mechanisms behind. The molecule is found to emit light at both bias polarities but with different emission energies. At negative excitation bias, only the fluorescence at 637 nm is observed, which originates from the LUMO→HOMO transition of the neutral PtPc molecule and exhibits stepwise-like increase in emission intensities over three different excitation-voltage regions. Strong fluorescence in region (Ⅰ) is excited by the carrier injection mechanism with holes injected into the HOMO state first; moderate fluorescence in region (Ⅱ) is excited by the inelastic electron scattering mechanism; and weak fluorescence in region (Ⅲ) is associated with an up-conversion process and excited by a combined carrier injection and inelastic electron scattering mechanism involving a spin-triplet relay state. At positive excitation bias, more-than-one emission peaks are observed and the excitation and emission mechanisms become complicated. The sharp molecule-specific emission peak at ~911 nm is attributed to the anionic emission of PtPc\begin{document}$^-$\end{document} originated from the LUMO+1→LUMO transition, whose excitation is dominated by a carrier injection mechanism with electrons first injected into the LUMO+1 or higher-lying empty orbitals.![]()

A systematic study on the preparation of SnO2 nanoparticles using a simple sol‐gel technique has been conducted by varying reaction parameters such as concentration of ammonia, ammonia feed rate and reaction temperature. The tin oxide obtained was characterized by using FTIR, BET, XRD and TEM. Particles size was obtained in the range of 4 to 5.6 nm and the surface area was found to be between 76 to 114 m2 g?1 depending on the reaction parameters. Meanwhile, the catalytic activity of SnO2 was first time investigated for the hydrogenation reaction of styrene using ethanol as the solvent at 70 °C and 1 atmospheric pressure. It is found that SnO2 acts as a good catalyst in this hydrogenation process. The product conversions in the presence of catalysts prepared at different conditions were between 37 to 72%. 相似文献

It was known that orthogonality preserving property and surjectivity of nonlinear Markov operators, acting on finite dimensional simpleces, are equivalent. It turns out that these notions are no longer equivalent when such kind of operators are considered over on infinite dimensional spaces. In the present paper, we find necessary and sufficient condition to be equivalent of these notions, for the second order nonlinear Markov operators. To do this, we fully describe all surjective second order nonlinear Markov operators acting on infinite dimensional simplex. As an application of this result, we provided some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions of nonlinear integral equations whose domain are not compact. 相似文献

In the present paper we introduce a new kind of p-adic measures, associated with q + 1-state Potts model, called p-adic quasi Gibbs measure, which is totally different from the p-adic Gibbs measure. We establish the existence of p-adic quasi Gibbs measures for the model on a Cayley tree. If q is divisible by p, then we prove the occurrence of a strong phase transition. If q and p are relatively prime, then there is a quasi phase transition. These results are totally different from the results of [F.
M. Mukhamedov and U. A. Rozikov, Indag. Math. N. S. 15, 85–100 (2005)], since when q is divisible by p, which means that q + 1 is not divided by p, so according to a main result of the mentioned paper, there is a unique and bounded p-adic Gibbs measure (different from p-adic quasi Gibbs measure) 相似文献
