On a non-simple idempotent *-ring with zero centre

A non-simple idempotent *-ring with zero centre is constructed and a negative answer to a question of G. Tzintzis concerning a hypoidempotent radical property is given. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

THE EXISTENCE OF OVERLARGE SETS OF IDEMPOTENT QUASIGROUPS

A idempotent quasigroup (Q, o) of order n is equivalent to an n(n-1)×3 partial orthogonal array in which all of rows consist of 3 distinct elements. Let X be a (n+1)-set. Denote by T(n+1) the set of (n+1)n(n-1) ordered triples of X with the property that the 3 coordinates of each ordered triple are distinct. An overlarge set of idempotent quasigroups of order n is a partition of T(n+1) into n+1 n(n-1)×3 partial orthogonal arrays A_x, x∈X based on X\{x}. This article gives an almost complete solution of overlarge sets of idempotent quasigroups.     

A Note on Idempotent Modifications of Groups

The idempotent modification of a group is always a subdirectly irreducible algebra.     

Modules and ideals of algebras of associative type

In this paper, we study some properties of algebras of associative type introduced in previous papers of the author. We show that a finite-dimensional algebra of associative type over a field of zero characteristic is homogeneously semisimple if and only if a certain form defined by the trace form is nonsingular. For a subclass of algebras of associative type, it is proved that any module over a semisimple algebra is completely reducible. We also prove that any left homogeneous ideal of a semisimple algebra of associative type is generated by a homogeneous idempotent.     

自由Abel群上的超群结构的再研究

在研究一个生成元的自由Abel群上超群结构的基础上，建立了两个生成元的自由Abel群上的超群结构理论，并进行了分析与研究，同时给出了两个生成元的自由Abel群到实数加群的同态方法，并对自由Abel群上的超群结构进行了研究与分类．在此基础上给出了正规超群的分类．证明得出：自由Abel群同构于实数加群及其子群．     

关于广义二次算子

设B(H)表示定义在希尔伯特空间H,上的所有有界线性算子的全体.如果A∈B(H)满足二次算子方程A2=αA βP,其中α,β∈C,P是一个非零的幂等算子且AP=PA=A,则称A为广义二次算子.记L(P)为关于幂等算子P的广义二次算子之集.我们用算子谱论的方法研究了L(P)的谱和群逆等相关性质,并推广了R. W. Farebrother和G. Trenkler的结论.
