The Brézis‐Gallouët‐Wainger inequality describes a subtle embedding property into . The relation between the Brézis‐Gallouët‐Wainger inequality and the real interpolation functor together with the sharpness of the results is discussed in the present paper. As our first main results shows, it turns out that there are two intermediate terms between and the logarithmic boundedness, which is supposed to be the right‐hand side of the Brézis‐Gallouët‐Wainger inequality. In an earlier article the authors constructed a hamilton cycle embedding of in a nonorientable surface for all and then used these embeddings to determine the genus of some large families of graphs. In this two‐part series, we extend those results to orientable surfaces for all . In part II, a voltage graph construction is presented for building embeddings of the complete tripartite graph on an orientable surface such that the boundary of every face is a hamilton cycle. The existence of global‐in‐time weak solutions to the Joule problem modelling heating or cooling in a current and heat conductive medium is proved via the Faedo–Galerkin method. The existence proof entails some a priori estimates that together with the monotonicity and compactness methods make up a main tool to prove the desired result. Under appropriate hypotheses on the data, it will be shown the boundedness in L∞(QT) of the absolute temperature of the medium and of the t‐derivative of this temperature, which is achieved by means of the Gagliardo–Nirenberg theorem, the Sobolev embedding theorem and the method of Stampacchia. The paper is some extension of our investigation initiated in (Math. Meth. Appl. Sci. 1998; 23 :1275–1291). This extension includes relaxing some assumptions in (Math. Meth. Appl. We define a direct translation from finite rooted trees to finite natural functions which shows that the Worm Principle introduced by Lev Beklemishev is equivalent to a very slight variant of the well‐known Kirby‐Paris' Hydra Game. We further show that the elements in a reduction sequence of the Worm Principle determine a bad sequence in the well‐quasi‐ordering of finite sequences of natural numbers with respect to Friedman's gapembeddability. Fibonacci cube is a subgraph of hypercube induced on vertices without two consecutive 1's. If we remove from Fibonacci cube the vertices with 1 both in the first and the last position, we obtain Lucas cube. We consider the problem of determining the minimum number of vertices in n-dimensional hypercube whose removal leaves no subgraph isomorphic to m-dimensional Fibonacci cube. The exact values for small m are given and several recursive bounds are established using the symmetry property of Lucas cubes and the technique of labeling.
