Strictly pseudomonotoneZ-maps operating on Banach lattices are considered. Equivalence of complementarity problems and least-element problems is established under certain regularity and growth conditions. This extends a recent result by Riddell (1981) for strictly monotoneZ-maps to the pseudomonotone case. We provide conditions under which a vertical block matrix is a Q-matrix if one or all representative sub-matrices are Q-matrices and vice versa. It is also shown, by means of counterexamples, that Eq. (3) of [A.A. Existence of solutions to the Generalized Linear Complementarity Problem (GLCP) is characterized when the associated matrix is a vertical blockZ-matrix. It is shown that if solutions exist, then one must be the leastelement of the feasible region. Moreover, the vertical block Z-matrixbelongs to the class of matrices where feasibility implies existence of asolution to the GLCP. Under the assumption thatf is a uniformP-function, this paper establishes that the mappingF is a homeomorphism ofR + 2n ontoR + n × Rn. This result provides a theoretical basis for a new continuation method of tracing the solution curve of the one parameter family of systems of equationsF(x, y) = tF(x 0, y0) and(x, y) R + 2n from an arbitrary initial point(x 0, y0) R + 2n witht = 1 until the parametert attains 0. This approach is an extension of the one used in the polynomially bounded algorithm recently given by Kojima, Mizuno and Yoshise for solving linear complementarity problems with positive semi-definite matrices.  相似文献

Simulation of wheel-ground and vehicle-ground interactions is very important in many applications. Achieving accuracy and efficiency is challenging for both soft and hard terrains. This is not only because of the simulation and numerical challenges, but also due to the questionable nature of the existing terrain models. For example, the most widely used terramechanics model is not a representative constitutive relation for a full range of dynamic conditions and applications, but rather a parametrization of steady state conditions. In general, the selection and development of the proper constitutive model and the parametrization of the ground properties are very challenging. Here, we present a unified framework for general wheel-ground interaction which can be used with different terramechanics models. The framework is based on a complementarity formulation and also uses the concept of kinematic constitutive relations, beside the other known concepts for modelling and parametrizing the soil properties. The framework makes it possible to consider the appropriate modelling of the terrain for a broad range of dynamic behaviours and simulation conditions. We will illustrate the material with several examples for off-road conditions.  相似文献

For modeling contacts or more specifically impacts we have two possible concepts. Either we discretize the contact zone by applying some continuum mechanical approach, or we use a rigid body model, where the impact behavior follows from complementarity rules. It depends on the problem itself, which approach might be more convenient, more contact details in the first and more system aspects in the second case. We propose a novel power penalty approach to a Nonlinear Complementarity Problem (NCP) in which the NCP is approximated by a nonlinear equation containing a power penalty term. We show that the solution to the penalty equation converges to that of the NCP at an exponential rate when the function involved is continuous and ξ-monotone. A higher convergence rate is also obtained when the function becomes Lipschitz continuous. Numerical results are presented to confirm the theoretical findings.  相似文献
