Representation, reasoning about and integrating knowledge based on multiple time granularities in knowledge-based systems is important, especially when talking about events that take place in the real world. Formal approaches based on temporal logics have been successfully applied in many application domains of knowledge-based systems where the evolution of a system and its environment through time is central. This paper presents a methodology based on temporal logic to deal with knowledge based on multiple time granularities in knowledge-based systems. The temporal logic we consider is especially suitable for modelling events with different rates and/or scales of progress. The methodology includes an approach to the representation of timing systems, a method used for representing facts and rules in a knowledge-based system that involve multiple time granularities using temporal logic, and several deductive reasoning techniques. The work presented in this article has been supported in part by The Australian Research Council and Macquarie University. Root mean square granularity of films are generally measured using a microdensito-meter, although it is costly and not easily available. To solve the cost problem, we tried to use an inexpensive commercial film scanner. Films with different densities were prepared and the relationship between densities by a diffuse densitometer and pixel values by a film scanner was obtained. We found that a linear relationship exists between rms granularity and a corrected standard deviation of pixel value that is available as an index granularity.This paper was originally presented at the 2nd International Conference on Optical Design and Fabrication, ODF2000 which was held on November 15-17, 2000 at the International Coference Center, Tokyo, Waseda University, Japan.  相似文献

Precise integration methods to solve structural dynamic responses and the corresponding time integration formula are composed of two parts: the multiplication of an exponential matrix with a vector and the integration term. The second term can be solved by the series solution. Two hybrid granularity parallel algorithms are designed, that is, the exponential matrix and the first term are computed by the fine-grained parallel algorithra and the second term is computed by the coarse-grained parallel algorithm. Numerical examples show that these two hybrid granularity parallel algorithms obtain higher speedup and parallel efficiency than two existing parallel algorithms.  相似文献

针对光散射细胞微粒测量中真实形体细胞的取向对测量结果的影响问题,基于Rayleigh-Debye-Gans理论和双椭球核式(CEM)模型在应用中的差异,建立了CEM的修正模型(MCEM),根据此模型系统讨论了细胞在不同入射角变化情况下其光散射强度分布所产生的变化,得到了不同入射角下有核细胞光散射强度分布与有核细胞相关物理特征量的动态响应关系;此外,对有核细胞光散射强度分布进行拟合,得到了有核细胞光散射强度分布函数。误差分析表明:拟合结果可有效地应用于真实细胞光散射测量中的数值反演计算。  相似文献

Set-based granular computing plays an important role in human reasoning and problem solving. Its three key issues constitute information granulation, information granularity and granular operation. To address these issues, several methods have been developed in the literature, but no unified framework has been formulated for them, which could be inefficient to some extent. To facilitate further research on the topic, through consistently representing granular structures induced by information granulation, we introduce a concept of knowledge distance to differentiate any two granular structures. Based on the knowledge distance, we propose a unified framework for set-based granular computing, which is named a lattice model. Its application leads to desired answers to two key questions: (1) what is the essence of information granularity, and (2) how to perform granular operation. Through using the knowledge distance, a new axiomatic definition to information granularity, called generalized information granularity is developed and its corresponding lattice model is established, which reveal the essence of information granularity in set-based granular computing. Moreover, four operators are defined on granular structures, under which the algebraic structure of granular structures forms a complementary lattice. These operators can effectively accomplish composition, decomposition and transformation of granular structures. These results show that the knowledge distance and the lattice model are powerful mechanisms for studying set-based granular computing.  相似文献
