以硝酸镁作为GFAAS法测量微量铍的基体改进剂,研究了硝酸镁对石墨炉灰化和原子化的影响,探讨了硝酸镁的作用机理.结果表明,硝酸镁能提高灰化温度,降低原子化活化能,并对吸收信号有延迟作用,从而有利于消除基体干扰,提高分析灵敏度.     

On the existence of nontrivial extremal metrics on complete noncompact surfaces

In this paper, we consider the 2-dimensional local Calabi flow on a complete noncompact surface . Then, based on the Harnack-type estimate, we show the long-time existence and asymptotic convergence of a subsequence of solutions of such a flow on with and bounded from above by a negative constant on a ball. For its applications, this will lead to the existence of extremal metrics on a complete noncompact surface of finite topological type. A necessary condition for the minimum of a quadratic form under rearrangements

A necessary condition is derived for a quadratic form p^tGp to be minimal among all permutations of the nonnegative nontrivial vector p. The quadratic form arises from the stability problem of a fixed-fixed taut string loaded with masses at equidistant points.     

Deterministic economic production quantity models with time-varying demand and cost

In today’s time-based competition, the unit cost of a high-tech product declines significantly over its short product life cycle. Consequently, in this paper, we relax the traditional economic production quantity model to allow for time-varying cost. We then prove that the optimal production schedule uniquely exists. In addition, we also show that the total cost is a convex function of the number of replenishments, which reduces the search for the optimal solution to finding a local minimum. Furthermore, we characterize the influences of both demand and cost over the length of production run time and the economic production quantity.     

Increase of refractive index induced by absorbing centres

An analytical expression of the complex permittivity is derived for absorbing centres featuring inhomogeneous absorption-line broadening. Such an expression gives the dispersion law of the real part of the permittivity when the imaginary part has a Gaussian lineshape. Our mathematical approach starts from an overlap integral of Lorentzian-type dielectric susceptibilities weighted by a Gaussian probability distribution of the resonance absorption energies. The analytical solution found is consistent with the Kramers–Kronig relation. We demonstrate that, like in the case of homogeneous absorption-line broadening, the refractive index increases at photon energies lower than the resonance absorption energy also for inhomogeneous absorption-line broadening; if the absorbing centres emit Stokes-shifted radiation, such an increase can be exploited for passive and active waveguiding applications. An example is reported regarding active waveguides based on colour centres in a lithium fluoride crystal.     

Optimal shape design for packaging containing heating elements by inverse heat transfer method

The present study is concerned with the determination of the optimal shape for a package containing multiple heating elements. The optimization tool has been developed based on the inverse heat transfer (IHT) approach, incorporating a direct problem solver, a numerical grid generator, a direct-differentiation sensitivity analyzer, and the conjugate gradient method. Shape design that leads to a specified outer surface temperature distribution is predicted by the approach. In this study, the effects of internal heat generation on optimal shapes of the packagings have also been evaluated. Several practical cases with various imbedded heating elements and thermal conditions are studied. Results show that the approach provides an efficient computer-aided design scheme for the shape profile determination.     

Optimal volume-corrected laplace-metropolis method

The article provides a refinement for the volume-corrected Laplace-Metropolis estimator of the marginal likelihood of DiCiccioet al. The correction volume of probability α in DiCiccioet al. is fixed and suggested to take the value α=0.05. In this article α is selected based on an asymptotic analysis to minimize the mean square relative error (MSRE). This optimal choice of α is shown to be invariant under linear transformations. The invariance property leads to easy implementation for multivariate problems. An implementation procedure is provided for practical use. A simulation study and a real data example are presented.
