A new SQP type feasible method for inequality constrained optimization is presented, it is a combination of a master algorithm and an auxiliary algorithm which is taken only in finite iterations. The directions of the master algorithm are generated by only one quadratic programming, and its step-size is always one, the directions of the auxiliary algorithm are new “secondorder“ feasible descent. Under suitable assumptions, the algorithm is proved to possess global and strong convergence, superlinear and quadratic convergence.  相似文献

In a composite-step approach, a step sk is computed as the sum of two components vk and hk. The normal component vk, which is called the vertical step, aims to improve the linearized feasibility, while the tangential component hk, which is also called horizontal step, concentrates on reducing a model of the merit functions. As a filter method, it reduces both the infeasibility and the objective function. This is the same property of these two methods. In this paper, one concerns the composite-step like filter approach. That is, a step is tangential component hk if the infeasibility is reduced. Or else, sk is a compositestep composed of normal component Vk and tangential component hk.  相似文献

We consider a control problem for a nonlinear diffusion equation with boundary input that occurs when heating ceramic products in a kiln. We interpret this control problem as a constrained optimization problem, and we develop a reduced SQP method that presents for this problem a new and efficient approach of its numerical solution. As opposed to Newton's method for the unconstrained problem, where at each iteration the state must be computed from a set of nonlinear equations,in the proposed algorithm only the linearized state equations need to be solved. Furthermore, by use of a secant update formula, the calculation of exact second derivatives is avoided. In this way the algorithm achieves a substantial decrease in the total cost compared to the implementation of Newton's method in [2]. Our method is practicable with regard to storage requirements, and by choosing an appropriate representation for the null space of the Jacobian of the constraints we are able to exploit the sparsity pattern of the Jacobian in the course of the iteration. We conclude with a presentation of numerical examples that demonstrate the fast two-step superlinear convergence behavior of the method.  相似文献

This paper describes a new algorithm for nonlinear programming with inequality constraints. The proposed approach solves a sequence of quadratic programming subproblems via the line search technique and uses a new globalization strategy. An increased flexibility in the step acceptance procedure is designed to promote long productive steps for fast convergence. Global convergence is proved under some reasonable assumptions and preliminary numerical results are presented.  相似文献

Numerical test results are presented for solving smooth nonlinear programming problems with a large number of constraints, but a moderate number of variables. The active set method proceeds from a given bound for the maximum number of expected active constraints at an optimal solution, which must be less than the total number of constraints. A quadratic programming subproblem is generated with a reduced number of linear constraints from the so-called working set, which is internally changed from one iterate to the next. Only for active constraints, i.e., a certain subset of the working set, new gradient values must be computed. The line search is adapted to avoid too many active constraints which do not fit into the working set. The active set strategy is an extension of an algorithm described earlier by the author together with a rigorous convergence proof. Numerical results for some simple academic test problems show that nonlinear programs with up to 200,000,000 nonlinear constraints are efficiently solved on a standard PC.  相似文献

The semi-infinite programming (SIP) problem is a program with infinitely many constraints. It can be reformulated as a nonsmooth nonlinear programming problem with finite constraints by using an integral function. Due to the nondifferentiability of the integral function, gradient-based algorithms cannot be used to solve this nonsmooth nonlinear programming problem. To overcome this difficulty, we present a robust smoothing sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm for solving the nonsmooth nonlinear programming problem. At each iteration of the algorthm, we need to solve only a quadratic program that is always feasible and solvable. The global convergence of the algorithm is established under mild conditions. 提出了一种解非线性规划问题的修改的非单调线搜索算法,并给出了它的全局收敛性证明.不需要用罚函数作为价值函数,也不用滤子和可行性恢复阶段.该算法是基于多目标优化的思想一个迭代点被接受当且仅当目标函数值或是约束违反度函数值有充分的下降.数值结果与LANCELOT作了比较,表明该算法是可靠的.  相似文献

In this paper, a modified SQP method with nonmonotone line search technique is presented based on the modified quadratic subproblem proposed in Zhou (1997) and the nonmonotone line search technique. This algorithm starts from an arbitrary initial point, adjusts penalty parameter automatically and can overcome the Maratos effect. What is more, the subproblem is feasible at each iterate point. The global and local superlinear convergence properties are obtained under certain conditions.  相似文献
