Two stochastic mean-field polycrystal plasticity methods   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this work, we develop two mean-field polycrystal plasticity models in which the crystal velocity gradients Lc are approximated stochastically. Through comprehensive CPFEM analyses of an idealized tantalum polycrystal, we verify that the Lc tend to follow a normal distribution and surmise that this is due to the crystal interactions. We draw on these results to develop the stochastic Taylor model (STM) and the stochastic no-constraints model (SNCM), which differ in the manner in which the crystal strain rates are prescribed. Calibration and validation of the models are performed using data from tantalum compression experiments. Both models predict the compression textures more accurately than the fully constrained model (FCM), and the SNCM predicts them more accurately than the STM. The STM is extremely computationally efficient, only slightly more expensive than the FCM, while the SNCM is three times more computationally expensive than the STM.  相似文献

Three-dimensional cubic unit cells containing 30 non-overlapping identical spheres randomly distributed were generated using a new, modified random sequential adsortion algorithm suitable for particle volume fractions of up to 50%. The elastic constants of the ensemble of spheres embedded in a continuous and isotropic elastic matrix were computed through the finite element analysis of the three-dimensional periodic unit cells, whose size was chosen as a compromise between the minimum size required to obtain accurate results in the statistical sense and the maximum one imposed by the computational cost. Three types of materials were studied: rigid spheres and spherical voids in an elastic matrix and a typical composite made up of glass spheres in an epoxy resin. The moduli obtained for different unit cells showed very little scatter, and the average values obtained from the analysis of four unit cells could be considered very close to the “exact” solution to the problem, in agreement with the results of Drugan and Willis (J. Mech. Phys. Solids 44 (1996) 497) referring to the size of the representative volume element for elastic composites. They were used to assess the accuracy of three classical analytical models: the Mori-Tanaka mean-field analysis, the generalized self-consistent method, and Torquato's third-order approximation.  相似文献

In this paper we consider time-dependent mean-field games with subquadratic Hamiltonians and power-like local dependence on the measure. We establish existence of classical solutions under a certain set of conditions depending on both the growth of the Hamiltonian and the dimension. This is done by combining regularity estimates for the Hamilton-Jacobi equation based on the Gagliardo-Nirenberg interpolation inequality with polynomial estimates for the Fokker-Planck equation. This technique improves substantially the previous results on the regularity of time-dependent mean-field games.  相似文献

Apoptosis is a biological process crucial for the development and maintenance of healthy living organism. A deregulated apoptosis underlies many diseases, including cancer. Under hypoxic conditions, p53 starts to accumulate and competes with HIF-1 for their common binding target p300. This can lead to the repression of HIF-1, and trigger the apoptotic derive. In addition apoptosis is accompanied by an enhancement of potassium (K+) fluxes, which in turn create a low-potassium intracellular micro-environment, which cooperates to the activation of caspases, the final actors of the apoptotic cascade. Based on this scenario, we elaborate a dynamical model aimed at resolving the complex dynamical interplay between the aforementioned processes. In the ideal continuum limit, the model reduces to a system of coupled differential equations, whose dynamics is analytically inspected.  相似文献

This paper links at the formal level the entropy structure of a multi-species cross-diffusion system of Shigesada–Kawasaki–Teramoto (SKT) type (cf. [1]) satisfying the detailed balance condition with the entropy structure of a reversible microscopic many-particle Markov process on a discretised space. The link is established by first performing a mean-field limit to a master equation over discretised space. Then the spatial discretisation limit is performed in a completely rigorous way. This by itself provides a novel strategy for proving global existence of weak solutions to a class of cross-diffusion systems.  相似文献

Based on the velocity gradient model, an extended continuum model with consideration of the mean-field velocity difference is proposed in this paper. By using the linear stability theory, the linear stability criterion of the new model is gained, which proved that mean-field velocity difference has significant influence on stability of traffic flow. The KdV–Burgers equation is derived by using non-linear analysis method and the evolution of density wave near the neutral stability line is explored. Numerical simulations are carried out how mean-field velocity difference affect the stability of traffic flow, and energy consumption is also studied for this new macro model. At the same time, complicated traffic phenomena such as local cluster effects, shock waves and rarefaction waves can be reproduced in the new model by numerical simulation. Numerical results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, which indicates that the mean-field velocity difference not only suppresses traffic jam, but also depresses energy consumption.  相似文献

The existence of a not-necessarily-unique strong solution for a stochastic differential equations with nonlocal sample dependence is established under the assumption that the coefficients satisfy an asymptotically local boundedness condition in addition to continuity. The proof is by an Euler-like construction of approximations. These equations include mean-field stochastic differential equations, but the nonlocal sample dependence can be more general than just the dependence on moments of the solution.  相似文献

Curie temperature TC of spin arrangement with arbitrary dimension was considered. We assumed that interaction of a spin with all other spins vary with a power-law decay rate in exchange integral on Heisenberg model. As a result, we found that TC, which was obtained from TC=λC (λ: mean-field coefficient and C: Curie constant), significantly depends on fractal dimension of spin arrangements D, the exchange integral and the decay constant. This semi-quantitatively explains how TC depends on D (1≤D≤3) in a universal way and also the finite size effect on TC in low-dimensional spin systems.  相似文献
