Radiation response of strained Si---SiO2 layered system

In the presented paper radiation effects in silicon-silicon dioxide systems in the presence of additional tensile and compressive stresses were investigated. These stresses were produced by placing additional layers of SiO₂ or Si₃N₄ on the back side of oxidized silicon wafers.The results obtained indicate that relaxation takes place in the oxide during irradiation and leads to the decrease of the compressive stress in the oxide film. Relaxation of strained bonds causes defect generation and the increase of the oxide charge density. This increase is larger for oxides with higher level of compressive stress. No significant changes of the density of surface states were observed since the additional coatings did not affect the strain gradient in the SiO₂.     

Observation of the surface quasi-two-dimensional electron-hole condensate

Quasi-two-dimensional electron-hole condensate has been observed at the surface of semiconductors treated by low dose Ar⁺ ion bombardment. A number of specific surface properties of this electron-hole condensate (EHC) has been studied.     

Cauchy problem for a class of parabolic systems of Shilov type with variable coefficients

In the case of initial data belonging to a wide class of functions including distributions of Gelfand-Shilov type we establish the correct solvability of the Cauchy problem for a new class of Shilov parabolic systems of equations with partial derivatives with bounded smooth variable lower coefficients and nonnegative genus. We also investigate the conditions of local improvement of the convergence of a solution of this problem to its limiting value when the time variable tends to zero.

Cauchy problem for one class of pseudodifferential systems with smooth symbols

For one class of pseudodifferential systems with smooth time-dependent symbols, we study properties of the fundamental matrix of solutions. We formulate sufficient and, for some systems, necessary conditions for the correct solvability of the Cauchy problem with generalized initial data. The Cauchy Problem for Shilov Parabolic Equations

We establish well-posed solvability of the Cauchy problem for the Shilov parabolic equations with time-dependent coefficients whose initial data are tempered distributions. For a certain class of equations we state necessary and sufficient conditions for unique solvability of the Cauchy problem whose properties with respect to the spatial variable are typical for a fundamental solution. The results are characterized only by the order and the parabolicity exponent.     

On the Correct Solvability of One Cauchy Problem

We establish a criterion for convolutors in certain S-type spaces. Using this criterion, we prove the correct solvability (in both directions) of one Cauchy problem in these spaces.
