This review is a critical overview of the literature on electrochemistry of unsaturated ring-compounds containing bonds between Group 15 and Group 16 elements (principally S and N), including metallacycles. It contains a detailed compilation of measured redox potentials and the conditions under which these were obtained for over 200 compounds. An introduction to the application of solution electrochemistry to this class of compounds is provided, and the relevance of such measurements to materials design is discussed.  相似文献

Given any bialgebra A and a braiding product 〈|〉 on A, a bialgebra U〈|〉 was constructed in [R. Larson, J. Towber, Two dual classes of bialgebras related to the concepts of “quantum group” and “quantum Lie algebra”, Comm. Algebra 19 (1991) 3295-3345], contained in the finite dual of A. This construction generalizes a (not very well known) construction of Fadeev, Reshetikhin and Takhtajan [L.D. Faddeev, N.Yu. Reshetikhin, L.A. Takhtajan, Quantum Groups. Braid Group, Knot Theory and Statistical Mechanics, in: Adv. Ser. Math. Phys., vol. 9, World Sci. Publishing, Teaneck, NJ, 1989, pp. 97-110]. In the present paper it is proved that when U〈|〉 is finite-dimensional (even if A is not), then it is a quasitriangular Hopf algebra.  相似文献

A Rota-Baxter operator of weight λ is an abstraction of both the integral operator (when λ=0) and the summation operator (when λ=1). We similarly define a differential operator of weight λ that includes both the differential operator (when λ=0) and the difference operator (when λ=1). We further consider an algebraic structure with both a differential operator of weight λ and a Rota-Baxter operator of weight λ that are related in the same way that the differential operator and the integral operator are related by the First Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. We construct free objects in the corresponding categories. In the commutative case, the free objects are given in terms of generalized shuffles, called mixable shuffles. In the noncommutative case, the free objects are given in terms of angularly decorated rooted forests. As a byproduct, we obtain structures of a differential algebra on decorated and undecorated planar rooted forests.  相似文献

We derive necessary and sufficient conditions for an ambiskew polynomial ring to have a Hopf algebra structure of a certain type. This construction generalizes many known Hopf algebras, for example U(sl2), Uq(sl2) and the enveloping algebra of the three-dimensional Heisenberg Lie algebra. In a torsion-free case we describe the finite-dimensional simple modules, in particular their dimensions, and prove a Clebsch-Gordan decomposition theorem for the tensor product of two simple modules. We construct a Casimir type operator and prove that any finite-dimensional weight module is semisimple.  相似文献

The problem of sequence comparison via optimal alignments occurs naturally in many areas of applications. The simplest such technique is based on evaluating a score given by the length of a longest common subsequence divided by the average length of the original sequences. In this paper we investigate the expected value of this score when the input sequences are random and their length tends to infinity. The corresponding limit exists but is not known precisely. We derive a theoretical large deviation, convex analysis and Monte Carlo based method to compute a consistent sequence of upper bounds on the unknown limit. An empirical practical version of our method produces promising numerical results.  相似文献

We introduce Hochschild (co-)homology of morphisms of schemes or analytic spaces and study its fundamental properties. In analogy with the cotangent complex we introduce the so-called (derived) Hochschild complex of a morphism; the Hochschild cohomology and homology groups are then the Ext and Tor groups of that complex. We prove that these objects are well defined, extend the known cases, and have the expected functorial and homological properties such as graded commutativity of Hochschild cohomology and existence of the characteristic homomorphism from Hochschild cohomology to the (graded) centre of the derived category.  相似文献
