In this study, we describe for the first time the application of an internal standard method to compensate for random errors associated with the injection procedure in batch injection analysis (BIA) systems with multiple pulse amperometric detection. A sequence of potential pulses was selected in such a way that the internal standard (IS) compound was detected individually at one potential pulse and both the IS and analyte, were detected at another potential pulse. The current ratio (IIS+analyte/IIS) was used in the construction of the calibration curve and then to compensate for random errors. The use of disposable syringes or manual pipettes in BIA systems increases the robustness of the method and dispenses with skilled operators.  相似文献

We have carried out zeta-potential measurements on two different OTS (octadecyl-trichlorosilane)-covered silicas (fused silica, quartz 0001) prepared under identical conditions. Streaming current measurements on the fused silica supported OTS sample indicate a well reproducible IEP of 3.5. The major part of the study focused on the quartz 0001 supported sample with an IEP lower than that of the fused silica support and in agreement with that found in a spectroscopic study. The IEP in water (on addition of HCl) was found at around pH 3, and appeared to shift to lower values in three subsequent measurements. A final measurement after a separate series in KCl media gave the same IEP as obtained in the very first measurement, suggesting that the experiments did not significantly change the interfacial properties despite a large number of experiments. In one series of measurements care was taken to exclude any cations other than protons from the measurements, such that protons are the only counter-ions to the negative net charge. While our IEPs with the quartz support agree well with recent estimates from sum frequency generation (SFG) investigations, none of the zeta-potential vs pH curves would mimic a pattern experimentally observed in the amplitude of the “ice-like” water band between pH 3.5 and 5 in that SFG study. Furthermore, our results do not indicate any significant chloride-ion adsorption in KCl systems, but instead the shift of the IEP with increasing KCl to higher pH values rather indicates specific effects of potassium ions. Under conditions more relevant to the spectroscopic study (i.e. in absence of potassium) no specific pattern reminiscent of the SFG results was found. Polycyclic aromatic azomethine ylides (PAMYs) are powerful building blocks in the bottom-up synthesis of internally nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (N-PAHs) through 1,3-cycloaddition reactions. In this work, the cycloaddition reaction of PAMYs to asymmetric ortho-quinones is presented, which, in contrast to the addition to symmetric para-quinones, facilitates subsequent condensation reactions and allows the synthesis of three helical N-PAHs with ullazine-quinoxaline ( UQ - 1 – 3 ) backbones. UQ - 1 and UQ - 2 possess two helical centers; however, single-crystal X-ray analysis together with the computational modeling of UQ - 3 elucidate the formation of only the thermodynamically most stable geometry with four helical centers in a (P,P,M,M) configuration. For the series UQ - 1 – 3 , the number of redox steps is directly correlated with the number of ullazine or quinoxaline units incorporated into the targeted molecular backbones. A detailed investigation of the spectroscopic and magnetic properties of the radical cation and anion as well as the dication and dianion species by in situ EPR/UV/Vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry is provided. The excellent optical and redox properties combined with helical geometries render them possibly applicable as chiral emitter or ambipolar charge transport material in organic electronics.  相似文献

We introduce a reduction technique for large instances of the traveling salesman problem (TSP). This approach is based on the observation that tours with good quality are likely to share many edges. We exploit this observation by neglecting the less important tour space defined by the shared edges, and searching the important tour subspace in more depth. More precisely, by using a basic TSP heuristic, we obtain a set of starting tours. We call the set of edges which are contained in each of these starting tours as pseudo-backbone edges. Then we compute the maximal paths consisting only of pseudo-backbone edges, and transform the TSP instance to another one with smaller size by contracting each such path to a single edge. This reduced TSP instance can be investigated more intensively, and each tour of the reduced instance can be expanded to a tour of the original instance. Combining our reduction technique with the currently leading TSP heuristic of Helsgaun, we experimentally investigate 32 difficult VLSI instances from the well-known TSP homepage. In our experimental results we set world records for seven VLSI instances, i.e., find better tours than the best tours known so far (two of these world records have since been improved upon by Keld Helsgaun and Yuichi Nagata, respectively). For the remaining instances we find tours that are equally good or only slightly worse than the world record tours.  相似文献
