最近昆虫翼的变形成了研究热点,而扑翼飞行器的变形力学研究却几乎无人问津.然而,无论昆虫、鸟类还是扑翼飞行器在飞行时,翼的变形都是存在的,要精确计算翼扑动产生的气动力,必须考虑其变形.本文比较了导致变形产生的膜扑翼飞行器的惯性力和气动力在一个周期中的变化情况,发现它们的峰值比值为2左右,然后提出了在随体坐标系中的固支边界条件,采用有限元法计算了惯性力和气动力分别对变形的影响,发现扑翼飞行器的气动力对变形的影响是不可忽略的重要因素,而惯性力与气动力的合力引起的最大正变形发生在下扑初始阶段,最大负变形发生在上扑初始阶段.本文为扑翼飞行器的设计提供了力学分析基础.  相似文献

Computational fluid dynamics simulations employing eddy-viscosity turbulence models remain the baseline numerical tool in the aerospace industry, mainly due to their numerical stability and computational efficiency. However, many industrially relevant cases require a level of accuracy that is not routinely achieved by global turbulence models. The simulation of leading-edge vortices shed at low aspect ratio wings is one such class of flows that remains a challenge for turbulence modelling. A local approach is proposed in which a parametrised eddy-viscosity turbulence model is calibrated using experimental results of configurations and flow conditions similar to the one being analysed. In this paper, the Spalart–Allmaras one-equation model is enhanced with additional source terms, which are exclusively active in the vortex field. An automatic optimisation procedure with experimental data as reference is then applied. The resulting optimised model improves the eddy viscosity distribution for a limited but relevant range of configurations and flow conditions.  相似文献

A method to predict the aeroelastic pitch response of an airfoil to gusts is presented. The prediction is based on energy maps generated by high-fidelity fluid dynamic simulations of the airfoil with prescribed pitch oscillations. The energy maps quantify the exchange of energy between the pitching airfoil and the flow, and serve as manifolds over which the dynamical states of aeroelastic airfoil system grow, decay and attain stationary states. This method allows us to study the full nonlinear response of the system to large gusts, and predict the growth and saturation of aeroelastic pitch instabilities. We also show that the manifold topology in these maps can be used to make informed modifications to the system parameters in order to control the response to gusts.  相似文献

The actuator surface (AS) concept and its implementation within a differential, Navier–Stokes control volume finite‐element method (CVFEM) are presented in this article. Inspired by vortex and actuator disk methods, the AS concept consists of using porous surfaces carrying velocity and pressure discontinuities to model the action of lifting surfaces on the flow. The underlying principles and mathematics associated with AS are first reviewed, as well as their implementation in a CVFEM. Results are presented for idealized 2D cases with analytical solutions, as well as for the 3D cases of a finite wing and an experimental wind turbine. In the case of the finite wing, wake induction is well handled by the model with accurate predictions of induced angles and drag when compared with the Prandtl lifting line model. Comparisons with volume force approaches, often used to model the action of propellers or wind turbine blades in a simplified analysis, show that the AS concept has some interesting advantages in terms of accuracy and respect of flow physics. This new approach is easy and rapid to embed in most computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. Rare backflow (negative wall-shear stress) events have recently been found and quantified in the near-wall region of canonical wall-bounded turbulent flows. Although their existence and correlation with large-scale events have been established beyond numerical and measurement technique uncertainties, their occurrence at numerically high Reynolds numbers is still rare (less than 1 per thousand and 1 per million at the wall and beyond the viscous sublayer, respectively). To better quantify these rare events, the turbulent boundary layer developing over the suction side of a wing section, experiencing an increasing adverse pressure gradient (APG) without separation along its chord c, is considered in the present work. We find that the backflow level of 0.06% documented in turbulent channels and zero-pressure-gradient (ZPG) turbulent boundary layers is already exceeded on the suction side for x/c > 0.3, at friction Reynolds numbers three times lower, while close to the trailing edge the backflow level reaches 30%. Conditional analysis of extreme events indicates that for increasing Clauser pressure-gradient parameters (reaching β ? 35), the flow reaches a state in which the extreme events are more likely aligned with or against the freestream, and that the otherwise strong spanwise component of the wall-shear stress reduces towards the vicinity of the trailing edge. Backflow events subjected to moderate up to strong APG conditions (0.6 < β < 4.1) exhibit an average width of Δz+ ? 20, and an average lifetime of Δt+ ? 2. This directly connects with the findings by Lenaers et al., and implies that there is a connection between high-Re ZPG and strong APG conditions.  相似文献

Micro air vehicles (MAV's) have the potential to revolutionize our sensing and information gathering capabilities in environmental monitoring and homeland security areas. Due to the MAV's' small size, flight regime, and modes of operation, significant scientific advancement will be needed to create this revolutionary capability. Aerodynamics, structural dynamics, and flight dynamics of natural flyers intersects with some of the richest problems in MAV's, inclu- ding massively unsteady three-dimensional separation, transition in boundary layers and shear layers, vortical flows and bluff body flows, unsteady flight environment, aeroelasticity, and nonlinear and adaptive control are just a few examples. A challenge is that the scaling of both fluid dynamics and structural dynamics between smaller natural flyer and practical flying hardware/lab experiment (larger dimension) is fundamentally difficult. In this paper, we offer an overview of the challenges and issues, along with sample results illustrating some of the efforts made from a computational modeling angle.  相似文献

Flow past model wings is experimentally investigated in a subsonic wind tunnel at large angles of attack at which the laminar boundary layer separates near the leading edge of the wing (flow stall). The object of the study was the flow structure within the separation zone. The carbon-oil visualization of surface streamlines used in the experiments showed that in the separation zone there exist one or more pairs of large-scale vortices rotating in the wing plane. Certain general properties of the vortex structures in the separation zone are found to exist, whereas the flow patterns may differ depending on the model aspect ratio, the yaw angle, and other factors.  相似文献
