A series of pyrenoimidazoles that contained various functional chromophores, such as anthracene, pyrene, triphenylamine, carbazole, and fluorene, were synthesized and characterized by optical, electrochemical, and theoretical studies. The absorption spectra of the dyes are dominated by electronic transitions that arise from the pyrenoimidazole core and the additional chromophore. All of the dyes exhibited blue‐light photoluminescence with moderate‐to‐high quantum efficiencies. They also displayed high thermal stability and their thermal‐decomposition temperatures fell within the range 462–512 °C; the highest decomposition temperature was recorded for a carbazole‐containing dye. The oxidation propensity of the dyes increased on the introduction of electron‐rich chromophores, such as triphenylamine or carbazole. The application of selected dyes that featured additional chromophores such as pyrene, carbazole, and triphenylamine as blue‐emissive dopants into multilayered organic light‐emitting diodes with a 4,4′‐bis(9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)biphenyl (CBP) host was investigated. Devices that were based on triphenylamine‐ and carbazole‐containing dyes exhibited deep‐blue emission (CIE 0.157, 0.054 and 0.163, 0.041), whereas a device that was based on a pyrene‐containing dye showed a bright‐blue emission (CIE 0.156, 0.135). 相似文献

Two series 3-armed dendritic molecules with their 1,3,5-tris(4-methyloxyphenyl) benzene or 2,4,6-tris(4- hydroxylphenyl)-1,3,5-s-triazine core and triphenylene derivative shells connected by soft hydrocarbon chains have been synthesised and fully characterised. Whether liquid crystal (LC) or photoluminescence materials have been tuned by changing the length of the soft chain and they have been studied by POM, DSC, XRD, UV-Vis and PL. The results show that all the new dendritic compounds display UV to blue fluorescence in solvents such as DCM, THF and acetone. The TC3 compound bearing 1,3,5-tris(4-hydroxylphenyl) benzene core exhibits LC property with rectangular columnar phase (Colr) on cooling. 相似文献

Terpyridylplatinum(II)‐based metallosupramolecular triblock copolymers with hydrophilic alkynyl ligands have been synthesised and characterised. As a result of the intrinsic properties of Pluronics, reversible temperature‐induced micellisation occurred at high temperature leading to aggregation of the platinum(II) complex moieties through Pt???Pt and π–π interactions, resulting in significant UV/Vis absorption and near‐infrared (NIR) emission spectral changes. The critical micelle temperatures of the complexes were found to vary from 21 to 30 °C due to differences in the hydrophilicity of the alkynyl ligands and the electrostatic repulsions between the positively charged platinum(II) complex moieties. One of the complexes with pH‐responsive CH2NMe2 groups on the alkynyl ligand was found to show NIR emission that is sensitive to both pH and temperature. Such dual‐responsive behaviour has been ascribed to the modulation of the self‐assembly of the complex moieties by temperature‐induced micellisation and the changes in the hydrophilicity as well as electrostatic interactions upon protonation/deprotonation of the CH2NMe2 groups on the alkynyl ligand. 相似文献

Star‐shaped charge‐transporting materials with a triphenylamine (TPA) core and various phenylethenyl side arm(s) were obtained in a one‐step synthetic procedure from commercially available and relatively inexpensive starting materials. Crystallinity, glass‐transition temperature, size of the π‐conjugated system, energy levels, and the way molecules pack in the solid state can be significantly influenced by variation of the structure of these side arm(s). An increase in the number of phenylethenyl side arms was found to hinder intramolecular motions of the TPA core, and thereby provide significant enhancement of the fluorescence quantum yield of the TPA derivatives in solution. On the other hand, a larger number of side arms facilitated exciton migration through the dense side‐arm network formed in the solid state and, thus, considerably reduces fluorescence efficiency by migration‐assisted nonradiative relaxation. This dense network enables charges to move more rapidly through the hole‐transport material layer, which results in very good charge drift mobility (μ up to 0.017 cm2 V ?1 s?1). 相似文献

Multi‐component organic nanocrystals that are comprised of two or more supramolecular building blocks can be used to extend the design and assembly scope of solid molecular materials. Herein, we report the use of ultrasonication to prepare halogen‐bonded stilbene‐based nano‐cocrystals that exhibit different photoemission properties, including one‐ and two‐phonon emission and fluorescence lifetimes, relative to those of macrodimensional crystals. The structural transformation from nano‐cocrystals into nanocrystals upon heating results in a luminescence red‐shift from greenish blue to yellow. The temperature‐dependent ratiometric luminescence may allow such nano‐cocrystals to be used as fluorescent sensors and thermosensitive materials. 相似文献

Two porous metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), [Zn3(L)(H2O)2] ? 3 DMF ? 7 H2O ( MOF‐1 ) and [(CH3)2NH2]6[Ni3(L)2(H2O)6] ? 3 DMF ? 15 H2O ( MOF‐2 ), were synthesized solvothermally (H6L=1,2,3,4,5,6‐hexakis(3‐carboxyphenyloxymethylene)benzene). In MOF ‐ 1 , neighboring ZnII trimers are linked by the backbones of L ligands to form a fascinating 3D six‐connected framework with the point symbol (412.63) (412.63). In MOF‐2 , eight L ligands bridge six NiII atoms to generate a rhombic‐dodecahedral [Ni6L8] cage. Each cage is surrounded by eight adjacent ones through sharing of carboxylate groups to yield an unusual 3D porous framework. Encapsulation of LnIII cations for tunable luminescence and small drug molecules for efficient delivery were investigated in detail for MOF‐1 . 相似文献

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)constructed from conjugated organic ligands are candidates for hybrid photoactive materials with potential applications.Compared to that from the ligands only,the intensity and wavelength of the luminescence could be tuned after they were incorporated in extended framework.In this report,by using an organic ligand with azolate moiety,benzo-bis(imidazole)(H2BBI),we synthesized two new MOF structures.Framework 1([Co(H2BBI)(DMSO)2Cl2]n,DMSO=dimethyl sulfoxide),constructed from tetrahedral Co(II)and H2BBI,exhibits zigzag 1D structure.Meanwhile,framework 2([Cu2(H2BBI)3(DMSO)6(NO3)4]n),a layered structure with hcb topology,was assembled from tetragonal pyramidal Cu(II)and H2BBI.Furthermore,2 exhibits strong luminescence emission(ex=280 nm).A blue shift of 40 nm(from 359 nm to 319 nm)was observed in framework 2 compared to the free ligand,which could be explained by the ligand-to-metal charge transfer in the network. 相似文献
