The ternary uranium(III) halides A2UX5 (A = K, Rb; X = Cl, Br, I) have been prepared from the binary components AX and UX3 in sealed tantalum containers. According to their Guinier X-ray powder patterns, they all crystallize with the K2PrCl5/Y2HfS5 type of structure. Lattice constants for ambient temperature are reported. Single-crystal structure refinemens were undertaken for K2UI5 and Rb2UCl5. Magnetic susceptibility data were recorded with a SQUID magnetometer from liquid helium to room temperature. One-dimensional (intrachain) and three-dimensional antiferromagnetic ordering occur at low temperatures dependent upon the U3+? U3+ distance. Absorption spectra were recorded between 4 000 and 28 000 cm?1. They show f—f transitions typical for U3+ and, depending on the halide, very strong f—d transitions above 14 000 to 15 000 cm?1, respectively. 相似文献

encapsulated catalyst proved to be active in the oxidation of α-methylstyrene with NaOCl with higher specific activity than
the homogeneous catalyst. At the same time, this encapsulated catalyst was completely inactive in the hydrolytic kinetic resolution
of racemic styrene oxide. This observation is in a good correlation with the assumption of the cooperative bimetallic mechanism

density hinders it. 2-Thioxothieno-[2,3-d]pyridimin-4-ones were converted into previously unreported 7H,13H-[1,2,4]thiadiazolo-[3,2-b:5,4-b′]bis(thieno[2,3-d]pyridimine-7,13-diones).

Summary Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) has been used for direct determination of 6-thioguanine, methotrexate, and 5-fluorouracil
in human urine, by use of a fused-silica capillary (60.2 cm×75 μm i.d.). Separation was performed after hydrodynamic injection
for 7 s; the separation potential and capillary temperature were 25 kV and 35°C, respectively. A 45mm borate buffer solution (pH 9.2) was used as separation electrolyte. Under these conditions the analysis takes approximately
10 min and interday precision of migration times and corrected peak areas is satisfactory. A linear response over the concentration
range 3.0–20.0 mg L1 was observed for the three chemotherapeutic drugs in diluted human urine. Detection limits (s/n=3) for 6-thioguanine and methotrexate were approximately 1.60 mg L1 in diluted human urine; that for fluorouracil was 2.60 mg L1. A 2-ml volume of human urine was diluted with 2-mL of water and introduced directly into the electrophoresis system. CZE
was shown to be a good method with regard to simplicity, satisfactory precision, and sensitivity. This method resulted in

Summary The extractability and stability of anthocyanins from the skins ofVitis vinifera were determined at different pH values. Anthocyanins were extracted using acetone, partitioned with chloroform and pre-purified
by solid-phase extraction (SPE). They were analysed by RP-HPLC, and the kinetic parameters of decomposition were calculated.
The total monomeric anthocyanin content was determined by spectrophotometry. Anthocianins were well separated by RP-HPLC.
The efficiency of extraction depended strongly on the pH of the extracting agent and on the character of the pigment to be
extracted. The amount of anthocyanins decreased with increasing duration of storage, more so at elevated temperatures.

Simple two-parameter Hückel and Pitzer equations were used for the calculation of the activity coefficients of aqueous hydrochloric acid at temperatures 0–60°C up to a molality of 2.0 mol-kg–1. The data obtained by Harned and Ehlers(2,3) on galvanic cells without a liquid junction were used in the parameter estimations of these equations. These data consist of sets of measurements at the temperature intervals of 5°C. It was observed that all estimated parameters follow very simple equations with respect to temperature. They are either constant or depend linearly on the temperature. The values for the activity coefficient parameters calculated by these simple equations are recommended here. The recommended parameter values were tested by predicting the data of Gupta, Hills, and Ives,(5) consisting of cell measurements from 5 to 45°C and molalities up to 1.0 mol-kg–1, and the data of Bates and Bower,(4) which extend to 95°C but measurements were only made on molalities less than about 0.1 mol-kg–1. The activity coefficients obtained by the new equations were also compared to those calculated by the Pitzer equations with the parameter values determined by Saluja, Pitzer, and Phutela(6) from calorimetric data. The agreement observed was excellent up to a molality of 1.5 mol-kg–1 at temperatures from 0 to 60°C. 相似文献
